I recently stayed at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel has a wonderful mix of history and comfort., the old manor house setting gives it real character, yet everything feels modern and welcoming. My room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after exploring the town. Staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly and professional, creating a warm atmosphere that really stood out. Beautiful location right across from the beach and sea views from bed! Very easy check in process and lovely breakfast, would absolutely stay again!!

The hotel is in a good location for sea views and beach walking. There is a big golf club next to it too. The food and service are brilliant. Comfy bed and the room was in great condition. We enjoyed our stay!

Lovely atmosphere at the reception and wonderful view from the room. Staff is very friendly. However, the buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing and there were no staff to support at all.

The location, service, and food were excellent. I stayed here because I arrived late, but it was a wonderful hotel where I wish I could have spent more time relaxing.

Hotel was lovely, room was very spacious and bathroom was newly refurbished, although the bath was a bit too high, making getting out of the shower a little awkward. Food, I didn't think was too good. While breakfast came on a large plate, and there was plenty to eat, if only it could be eaten. Bacon and sausage seemed like they had been cooked ages ago, and were tough and cold (having said that - I like my food piping hot). Entertainment was excellent - something for everyone. The hotel is very close to the town of Ennis, about 20 minutes to the town center, not too far from the Mech cliff. There is a large parking lot, many hotel rooms, and many foreign tour groups will stay here. The room was very spacious, although the facilities were a bit old, but it was clean and the service was very warm.
