I chose this hotel again primarily for its convenient location, with a supermarket and various eateries nearby. The hotel also has a fitness center, which is perfect for someone like me who needs to work out. The only downside is that they seem understaffed. The reception has been merged with Moxy, and now they can't keep up with housekeeping. I hope this improves next time!
Near the airport, there is a direct bus.
It is a cozy small hotel, the room is newly renovated, very clean and elegant.
Free parking is available, and there are several restaurants in the town but not many choices.
First receptionist we dealt with was really nice but then she had to ask a colleague for help with our check in and she was extremely rude. Having booked an executive room, we were told we didnt get access to the executive lounge as hadn't booked direct. Load of rubbish. Went to our room, quick call to Hilton Customer Care and they confirmed we did have executive lounge access so went back to reception.
The hotel is really comfortable, big spacious rooms, nice beds, bathrooms with shower and bath. Water wasn't free even in executive rooms which was a bit of a shock (£2.50 a bottle).
Executive lounge was nice but service much cut back from last time I stayed at few years ago. Fridges empty most of the day, snacks not topped up. Dirty cups everywhere etc. Evening snacks was good but again, reduced compared to what they used to offer. Spirits and prosecco was a nice touch though.
Breakfast served in the restaurant for executive room guests. Really nice selection, mostly buffet but eggs and omelettes cooked to order. Nice coffee.
Staff on the whole are really friendly and welcoming (apart from the receptionist on day one). We had 3 nights here and enjoyed it.
There is a shuttle bus from terminal 5 to the hotel door which is £6.80 per person or you can take bus number 5 which stops on the road outside the hotel for £1.50. If staying more than one night, there is buses to Windsor, legoland, Slough and hounslow (for the tube to central london).
Limited bar .service finished at 1030pm. Lift broken so all the fire doors wedged open to provide staircase access. Then no hot water for shower in the morning. We told reception who shrugged and said they knew, queried why no one let us know .to be told they are trying to fix it. Left at ten am. Didn't bother with breakfast just headed home early so we could have a shower
The location is very convenient. You can take bus No. 81 to many places for shopping and sightseeing. Bus No. 7 charges £5⃣️ There are only two stops to Xiqi Road Airport T5, and the frequency is about 20 minutes. 1 bus is from 07:00 to 23:00 in the morning. There are many places you can transfer to the subway at the airport. It would be ideal if you can have a separate toilet🤔 It is very convenient to buy food at the petrol station by walking about 3⃣️minutes👍
