"The hotel is close to train station, but need to walk for around 20 mins to city centre, we think it’s totally fine especially when the weather is good, and the staff recommended us to walk along the river side which is a good idea. The room is very clean, tidy and modern. There is free water, tea and coffee in a pantry near the reception but the reception and pantry will be closed at 11pm everyday. Last but not least, I would like to thanks the staff (a middle age lady) who recommended us a very decent restaurant nearby to conclude our last night in Belgium when we asked for her recommendation. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we visit Ghent again in the future."

ShufuyouThis hotel, a former military barracks in Ghent, champions eco-friendliness and creativity! Just look at that bowl of wontons—can you believe this was made in a hotel restaurant in a medieval city in Belgium? Even Lao Gan Ma chili crisp is available at the front desk shop!
I particularly love the color scheme here: the blue feels so luxurious, and the pink is wonderfully vibrant!
The breakfast is plentiful with lots of options. I recommend booking a room with breakfast included; watching the people in the breakfast room feels like being back in college—it's a whole room full of young people, truly a hotel designed for a younger crowd.

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, well-organized, and extremely comfortable. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the overall freshness of the space. The location is excellent—convenient, accessible, and close to everything I needed, which made getting around the city very easy. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making the entire stay even more pleasant. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Hands down best view from the room! Booked another night as I had a really good impression and experience - wish I had stayed longer! Bed is comfy and the room is...roomy enough. The ladies at the front were exceptionally accommodating for when I had issues checking out and checking back in. Staff is overall awesome! The only shower room is fairly well kept. For a small amount there will be everything that you will/might need: from towels, laundry/dryer, tea/coffee/beer/snacks, luggage storage, to kayaks. Didn't have to use the common kitchen but it seemed equipped. Really can't go wrong with the location - everything is within reach and the are is just simply beautiful day/night.

Giles LawrenceThe room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.

MEI LING WONGThe hotel is in the centre of town, 5 min to the castle, churches and shopping street. We arrived by car. It was very difficult to find the hotel because it was in the pedestrian area. We had to park the car nearby and find the hotel on foot. At check in, the hotel advised that their car park is full and advised us the location of the public car park. The room is nicely with separate toilet and shower room. The pillow feels over used and not comfortable. Breakfast is fairly good with nice bread and cheese.

Guest UserThe two single beds requested were provided but it was not a safe arrangement as one bed was on a really elevated platform (four steps high from the ground) making it not easily accessible and frankly quite unsafe! The room was basic beyond imagination and even for a budget hotel was very poor. The room was on street level and the noise and headlights from the cars passing throughout the night was disturbing. The parking was very expensive and made the overall cost of the overnight stay not good value for money. The whole thing was very disappointing!

Rooms are not the same as shown on the website. Location is 100 meter walk from Hotel de Flandre, the opposite side. The receptionist said as friendly to walk us to the other hotel building called City Garden Hotel.
It's more motel like hotel. Staircases are very slippery when it rains, if you choose not to use the lift.
Rooms are not well maintained, light bulbs not working, safe not functional in one room, or low battery in the other room changed. We reported it to the reception, offered to changd one room, this time there is no toilet door??!!! And lots of diets and hair here n there...
Honestly overall experience is a bit disappointing for what you paid, thus not good value for money.

Guest UserIdeal location if you have an event at Flanders Expo. Easily accessible by public transport. Spacious, beautiful, and clean rooms with everything you could possibly need. The beds are wonderfully comfortable! The air conditioning cools perfectly, and the bathroom is super hygienic.
The staff are very friendly.
Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe boss didn't understand English, it was difficult to communicate, and he charged arbitrarily. He changed my double room to a double bed. The location is next to the tram, there is a tram at about 5:00 in the morning, it is very noisy, I can’t sleep
