Sound proof is bad, can hear all kinds of noises at night. Building facilities and furniture are dated, but bathroom has been renovated . Location is good. Breakfast does not have many choices. Staff are nice and friendly.

Hotel has a good scenery located at the country side. Recommend to have a morning walk at hotel with the twilight can refresh your mind. I saw chicken and possum during the morning walk. The buffet breakfast was highly recommended. They also have a ****** at hotel where you could stay the whole night with your luck !

Fine two bedrooms apartment. I suppose if you are going to the country club, the location is good. It is about 10 min drive from Launceston. The beds were very nice and comfortable. Bathroom was large and very clean.

The hotel is very clean, but it is not close to the high-speed bus station. The seaside port center is not recommended if it is public transportation. Because Launceston Podo and don't have a room on the first floor, it is a semi-underground. It is an upgraded deluxe room, but half of the intersection. Underground. Recommended to take a taxi to Grand Canyon Park. Summer is very beautiful.

We love this hotel! We called them up few days before to confirm the amenities inside our room and also a special request too! They answered our call and sort it out super quick! The location is super convenient, close to airport. Bathroom very clean, beds are comfortable. Air conditioning maintained our room in a perfect temperature. One thing which is not important for everyone, is the dishwasher is leaking water!

We had a very early flight, and We were tired , they kindly got our room quickly ready and gave us it for midday . Nothing was too much trouble. As a solo traveller just spending one night in Launceston, The Star Hotel was the ideal choice. It is centrally located and street parking was easy to find and free between 17.30 and 09.00 next day. The room itself was compact but comfortable with an ensuite. The friendly, efficient female staff member was able to help with local advice and when I decided to have dinner later, the food and service were exceptional. Three see a couple of stair cases to negotiate but really no trouble. This place was a highlight of my travel in Tasmania.
