Let's be fair. The cheapest room type, the standard room, is in the basement. There's never any signal and never any Wi-Fi. The entire building renovation design makes it very cramped. Why convert a basement into rooms? Is it really suitable for living? The hotel is an old building, but it was renovated very poorly by an owner with no taste. Basically, everything used is, without exception, cheap. The hardware details in the room are really bad. The public areas are okay, I guess. The staff are very professional and friendly, five stars for them.

It's a family-run place, so if you're concerned about security or safety, make sure to use it It was a very, very kind place. The location is convenient – about a 10-minute walk to Nice Riquier train station, and 20-25 minutes on foot to Place Masséna. Tram #1 runs nearby, and a bit further, from Place Garibaldi, you can catch tram #2 to the airport and tram #3. Across the street from the hotel is a shopping center with a Carrefour that we visited daily. The room has almost everything you need for a stay, including a well-equipped kitchenette with a two-burner stove, microwave, kettle, capsule coffee machine (we don't drink coffee, so didn't use it), refrigerator, and dishwasher (with a few tablets provided). There was also dish soap, but no sponge (we had to buy one ourselves). There was also no cutting board (we bought one too). All necessary utensils are available (though for knives, there's only a small one for vegetables and a bread knife; a larger, all-purpose knife would have been nice). For those who care, there were no cooking essentials like salt, sugar, or spices, which are usually present in apartments of this type. As warned beforehand, there's no cleaning service during your stay (there's a vacuum cleaner in the closet). You have to take out the trash yourself, and towels are not changed (there's a heated towel rail in the bathroom, which is very convenient; you can wash something and it dries quickly). The bathroom has liquid soap and shower gel, a bathtub, and a shower hose. An ironing board is available (I don't recall an iron as it wasn't needed). There's also a safe. Our stay was quite satisfying, and we would book again.

The location is excellent, very close to Promenade des Anglais, and a 5-6 minute walk to Nice Beach. There's an induction cooker and microwave, and other cookware and tableware are also provided. A bowl of hot noodle soup in the morning is enough to soothe a Chinese stomach after eating white food every day. Remember to bring your own condiments. Check-in and check-out are completely self-service; I didn't see a single staff member during my three nights. There are free umbrellas, beach mats, and beach towels available for rent in the hallway, which is very convenient. There's nothing more authentic than taking your own gear and enjoying Nice Beach.

It's a good student dorm, but also a really cool place, clean, nice area, everything is close by, we had a great time there, contactless check-in, you need to contact the hotel in advance so that they send you an email with your room number.

The hotel facilities are showing their age, and the bed wasn't exactly new. On the plus side, the room was clean. As it's an apartment-style room, it comes with a stove and utensils, ideal for guests who enjoy making their own breakfast. A major plus is the spacious balcony, which offers views of the beach – conveniently just across the road. This really helps to compensate for the room's older condition.
