Premier Inn Alnwick ★★★

"Stopped here for two nights as we were stopping for a wedding. Well what an absolute disaster!! After a 5 hour journey we were greeted by a very rude receptionist, definitely needs some customer service training! To be told the kitchen was shut and we would have to go out for a meal - we were given a list of places local but no indication of if it was a pub or hotel etc. I said oh no that’s a shame why is the restaurant shut was told ‘can’t you read the sign on the door’ with an eye roll!! We had three rooms booked all in the same booking ref and were put on three separate floors. The room on the ground floor was tiny, no where to put clothes and bathroom really small. When we got to our room there was two of us and we had one hand towel in the whole bathroom. Breakfast was nice however such a small place only around 11 tables so dread to think what it’s like when it’s busy. Staff were run off their feet one bloke doing the whole of breakfast service. Overall a really disappointing visit and won’t be returning back to this Premier Inn."

"Amazing and simple place to stay. Immaculately clean - the bathroom was so tidy and smelled very nice. If you're planning to have a nice dinner there - the tavern provides priority sitting for the guests of the Inn - so you'll get a table even if it's busy. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Perfect for a short stay."

"Arrived late afternoon and hungry. The manager recommended the pork belly Sunday roast and I was not disappointed 😍 room was good for the price. Bed very comfy and easy access to car when I needed to unpack later after arrival and dinner. Car park entrance is a great challenge for all drivers which I passed. Thank you for the hospitality"

"We had stayed once before so knew what to expect. There's a large car park. The room this time was large, on the ground floor and facing the A1 roadway. It was lacking air conditioning, however there were several windows with restricted openings to allow some fresh air in, however it was necessary to close these for sleep purposes. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The wining and dining area was large, pleasant, and clean, but the surfaces of some tables with bear wooden surfaces could feel somewhat sticky."

"Really enjoyed my first stay. Staff were very pleasent. Breakfast was pleantiful and well presented. You must have your own transport as there were no buses. There's too much of a long walk into Alnwick by the A1 mortorway. That's not very pleasent or safe. The only issue I had was with the awlful television (It certainly needs updating) in the Cart Shed accommodation. The hand controller was useless."
