The Ruimian Noodle Restaurant at the entrance had a great ambiance and excellent food, and we received a 25 RMB discount with the hotel room card – very thoughtful. The butler proactively contacted us before check-in, helped us check in early, and then took care of every little detail perfectly. It was a very satisfying experience! 👍

I booked in late August and received a free upgrade to the 44th floor. The breakfast was quite lavish. Starting our Suzhou trip in the peak of summer, with the scorching sun outside, staying at the Shangri-La on Tayuan Road was truly the most comfortable solace of the journey. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making getting around incredibly smooth and convenient for visiting all the major attractions. The surrounding commercial area is well-equipped with plenty of dinner options. Stepping into the hotel, a cool and pleasant feeling immediately washes over you. The room was clean and airy, with simple yet elegant soft furnishings and soft, skin-friendly bedding. After a day of exploring, returning to the room allowed us to shed all the summer heat and fatigue. All the staff were warm and genuinely hospitable. Our guest manager, Lisa, was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive, providing detailed recommendations for activities, and promptly and properly arranging all our needs, big or small. The hotel facilities are comprehensive. In our free time, we enjoyed splashing around in the pool, escaping the summer heat. The entire trip was relaxed and enjoyable, creating truly wonderful memories. Everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, was very satisfied. If we ever return to Suzhou, this will still be our first choice for accommodation. Highly recommended.

After 20 years, the service quality is still top-notch. **Location:** Everything is within walking distance. It's about a 10-minute walk to Xuanmiao Temple and less than 15 minutes to the entrance of Pingjiang Road. **Room Condition:** The facilities are old, but it's very clean. Details like the spotless bathroom, complimentary umbrella, and the neatly folded start of the toilet paper roll (easy to access) all speak to the level of service and management. I even took a close-up photo of the bathroom floor tiles – the cleanliness is evident. Before checking into this hotel, I saw quite a few negative reviews, and the fear of a bad experience lingered. However, the hotel's excellent location was too hard to pass up, so I decided to give it a try. **Overall:** The facilities are outdated, but the service hasn't dropped. It's suitable for travelers who don't seek luxury accommodation. I sincerely hope the hotel gets a renovation soon to welcome guests with a fresh new look.

The breakfast buffet is just average, with a limited selection of drinks and a frequently malfunctioning coffee machine. The hotel lobby is spacious, bright, and quite grand. The room was very clean, with a nice view from the window, and the bathroom fixtures were all Kohler brand, plus there's a bathtub 🛁. Right across from the hotel is a Zhu Hongxing Noodle restaurant, which is great for breakfast. Overall, I was very satisfied; it's excellent value for money. There's also the Panmen Scenic Area nearby, but I didn't get to visit this time due to a tight schedule. If I get the chance to visit Suzhou again, I would definitely choose Xiangxuehai Hotel again.

It's probably been twenty years since I last stayed at Nanlin, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Garden Wing is still incredibly well-maintained. The garden landscaping from the Mountain & Water Wing to the Garden Wing has become even more beautiful. In the morning, they even had mist spraying, creating a truly ethereal atmosphere. A big thank you to Miss Wang Qin at the front desk yesterday for the upgrade, allowing me to try the pulsating massage bed – it was very comfortable. And just a little secret: friends with constipation should really try their colonic hydrotherapy; you'll come back to thank me. Breakfast was good. The spicy and sour soup (Hula Tang) was fragrant, and initially not spicy, but adding a tiny bit of vinegar made it incredibly savory. The noodles in the red soup noodles were excellent, and today's stir-fried bamboo shoots and pork in the topping were very fresh. The goose meat, however, was a bit mediocre in some parts, and a few pieces were hard to distinguish between goose and braised pork. Nanlin's location speaks for itself; it's surrounded by attractions and delicious food. Back in the nineties when I first started working, the intersection where the Avon direct sales store used to be (Shiquan Street and Fenghuang Road) was already lively. Later, with the opening of Tongdexing and various small shops, it just got more and more bustling. Finally, the reason I first stayed at Nanlin many years ago was after reading Lu Wenfu's 'The Gourmet.' Those who know, know. He was one of the people who changed my perceptions and lifestyle.

The parking lot is huge, with plenty of outdoor spaces and an underground level, which was very convenient for driving in and out. We stayed for three days this time because our child is studying here, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Suzhou in the future. I've stayed at InterContinental Jinji Lake many times, and this time I chose it again. If I had to give a reason, it's simply because I feel comfortable and familiar with it. It was peak summer holiday season and a Saturday, so the hotel was very busy. Our room wasn't ready even by 3:30 PM. After a phone call, the front desk agent promptly upgraded our room, and I'm very grateful for that! Although the hotel is a bit older, both the public areas and the rooms are very well-maintained and don't show their age at all. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living room and bedroom offered direct, first-rate views of Jinji Lake and the Ferris wheel. The dining experience at Jinhaixuan Restaurant on the 27th floor was excellent, with fantastic outdoor views and delicious dishes. The breakfast buffet quality was still great. My only minor regret this time was that, apart from the host, no one asked if I wanted tea or coffee. Perhaps they were too busy with all the guests and overlooked it? Overall, for me, the minor flaws don't detract from the overall excellent experience. I'll definitely choose to stay at InterContinental again next time I'm in Jinji Lake.

The room had an expansive view, you could see far into the distance, and watching the sunset was so therapeutic. The bathroom was very spacious, making for a great stay. There are many hotels near Jinji Lake, and after much deliberation, I chose the Lamborghini. Overall, my review is average; it's the kind of place I wouldn't return to. Facilities: Most of the hotel facilities are quite old. The light switches weren't very responsive. The layout of the rooms in the hotel is quite confusing, with no clear signage. The breakfast restaurant was hard to find; I even had to direct two other guests who were lost. The hotel's own pool is quite mediocre, more of a 'better than nothing' situation, so I ended up going to the Crowne Plaza next door to swim. Hygiene: There were black marks on the pillow that hadn't been cleaned. Environment: The overall garden architectural style is quite unique compared to other hotels. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; I got covered in bites just taking a few photos. Also, the hotel lobby design feels a bit cramped and doesn't exude a five-star standard. Service: Most of the staff were pleasant, but a few front desk personnel gave perfunctory responses. The path to the Crowne Plaza is a bit circuitous, and while the hotel offers a free shuttle bus, they didn't proactively mention it. I only found out about the shuttle after asking. I requested a room upgrade two days in advance, even though there were vacancies, but it wasn't granted. Overall, it's not really worth it, and I won't be coming back.

Breakfast offered a mix of Western and Chinese options, with a wide selection of Western pastries. During the holiday, the noodle station had a bit of a queue, and you had to get a number first, which tested my patience. Overall, the hotel is worth staying at.

Our room on the 11th floor directly overlooked Lake Taihu, offering a truly beautiful view. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, bright, and spotless. The bathroom was particularly great for families, with a separate shower and tub – perfect for anyone who loves a good soak to de-stress. The hotel's 2nd floor boasts excellent fitness facilities, including a swimming pool and gym. The pool was very clean, and the water temperature and hygiene were reliable. There's also a LEGO playroom on the 2nd floor where kids can play freely or build with LEGOs, accompanied by family. Highly recommend Suzhou Shushan Shuxiang Shijia for families with kids! The tatami room we booked turned into a little playground for our baby. With three beds pushed together, we didn't have to worry about the little one rolling off, and there was plenty of space for three adults and two kids to sleep comfortably. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing for both adults and children. Soaking in the various herbal pools left us feeling completely refreshed. The kids' water park was an absolute 'energy-burner' – our little one played there from afternoon until evening! The fish spa had them giggling non-stop as the tiny fish nibbled at their feet. Adults could take turns playing without getting tired. We're definitely planning to come back for a few more days in the crisp autumn weather to explore the Shushan plank road. P.S. It's the season for Cuiguan pears right now! There are pear orchards nearby and stalls selling pears all along the road. Cuiguan pears are incredibly juicy and have a wonderfully sweet, refreshing taste. We even took a whole box home with us!

After getting off the highway, I followed the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake all the way to the lake and — —Zero distance to Taihu Lake. A hotel with a sense of design. You can see the endless Taihu Lake (like the seaside) from the room. The restaurant on the second floor. You can see the island in the distance. You can see the chinaberry tree swaying in the wind in the near distance. There is also a very touching orange small house. It is like a fairyland. It comes into view. This is a place to relax and soothe emotions. The room service is also perfect. The welcome fruit and midnight snacks are also full of sincerity. It was a great experience. Even though it's an older state guesthouse, the room facilities are still very comprehensive. The towels and bath towels in the room are individually wrapped, which feels much more hygienic. A special shout-out to the front desk service! We accidentally booked the wrong room, and since other room types were unavailable, they directly upgraded us to a family room. That was truly thoughtful. Also, the hotel's hot pot buffet is an incredible value. Next time I'm in Suzhou, I will definitely choose to stay at Nanyuan again.

Five stars are good, but I'd give it six! First, let's talk about the location: Suzhou's old town is absolutely packed on weekends, so a good hotel location is crucial for an enjoyable trip. Exit the hotel and turn right, and Pingjiang Road is just 50 meters away. Go another kilometer, and you'll find the Lotus Market at Baitai Park and the Flower and Bird Market on Pishi Street—all showcasing the best of old Suzhou. After parking at the hotel, the best way to explore is to rent an electric scooter. Feel the breeze through your hair under the trees. Within a 5-kilometer radius, you can reach almost 90% of old Suzhou's attractions. It's pure bliss! Room facilities: If there's one minor drawback, it's that the hardware is a bit older. But then again, with such a great location and this level of service, it wouldn't be this price if it hadn't been open for a while. So, in a way, it's just the other side of the coin. Of course, the hotel has made many efforts, such as installing Washlets later on, and the linens are well-maintained. What's particularly amazing are the hotel's teas—they're truly excellent. Breakfast: Absolutely a bonus! You must try the Cifan Tuan (sticky rice rolls), sweet with preserved mustard greens—the texture is simply first-rate. The young man making the rice rolls was also very kind, chatting as if with family. It seems they also have a seasonal dish recommendation among the stir-fries. On the day I visited, it was edamame with water bamboo, which was incredibly tender. Finally, the overall service: The staff at the front desk, both the young men and women, were excellent. It was hot, and I appreciate their thoughtful service.

The environment is great, and the facilities are comprehensive. It seems to be an apartment hotel with a history and a good reputation. It's a one-bedroom, one-living room unit with a bathtub. You have to stand in the tub to shower, which I'm not used to – it's a bit narrow and inconvenient. I'm more accustomed to a dedicated shower box. The bedroom and living room are separated by sliding doors. There's no space for nightstands on either side of the large bed, which I also found inconvenient (although you can put things on the headboard). My feet kept hitting the sliding door when getting out of bed, which was annoying. What I did like was the high floor, the view, and the microwave and tableware provided.

Well, I came specifically for this room, and perhaps because of the high price, I had higher expectations and demands for the trip. Overall, I didn't feel it was very worthwhile or worth the price. First, the room rate was bundled with a wellness package, and the price on Ctrip was only for one person's experience; if two people wanted to experience it, it would cost an additional 1500 yuan. The wellness package included three meals, a body spa, various bathing experiences (basically, a traditional Northeastern bathhouse 🌝), and two consultations, one physical and one spiritual. There were also some courses. However, from my experience, if the main focus is on healing, this itinerary was quite rushed, and I didn't feel my body got any rest (maybe it's just my own workload; I can't finish so many things in one day :)). 🏠 First, the decor is predominantly wood, and because it focuses on wellness and healing, there are many crystals for purification. The rooms are also mostly made of pure wood. Since we were newlyweds, the hotel upgraded us to a suite, and the soft furnishings and design in the suite were very nice, making it feel very homey. However, I didn't quite understand the green wallpaper behind the living room. 🍠The focus is on wellness and relaxation, so all three meals are vegetarian, prepared by the hotel. Breakfast portions are generous, and lunch has a Michelin-star quality, with exquisite presentation. ✍🏻️The service didn't match the room's quality. Requests such as missing classes or having meals brought to the room were refused. Customized service was basically unavailable; everything had to be done according to the established procedures. 🌳The ambiance, however, is undeniably beautiful.

I booked the Shangri-La for my birthday this year. I usually travel around my birthday every year, but this was by far the best experience. The hotel prepared decorations, wine, fruit, and snacks, which was a wonderful surprise as soon as I entered the room. Later, they also sent a birthday cake to my room, which made me very happy. I'll definitely come back to stay here again. A huge thank you to the hotel! The hotel's location is also excellent, right by Jinji Lake.

The facilities show their age, but they're well-maintained and quite clean. The surroundings boast a lake view with a large lawn and a lakeside boardwalk below, which would be lovely in spring and autumn. However, it's hard to spend extended time outdoors during summer. The gym isn't great; the equipment is old and the lighting isn't very good, placing it in the lower-mid range compared to current top-tier hotels. The pool is decent, though.

Our last stop in Suzhou this summer was the perfect Hyatt experience. The front desk staff were all very friendly. Supervisor Xiao Ren (Mr. Ren) was conscientious, responsible, and attentive to guests. They proactively offered to help guests with luggage, which was a nice touch.👍 The Guest House executive lounge service was excellent. Under the guidance of supervisor Sheila Wang, the young ladies, Huanhuan and Jiaojiao, were diligent, had gentle demeanors, and worked well as a team. Ms. Lu (on the 26th floor) from housekeeping was very meticulous and paid attention to details (she noticed a flaw in the freshly changed bed linens and replaced them with new ones). I was truly impressed during my extended stay!

My stay at Park Hyatt Suzhou far exceeded my expectations. The overall design, with its elegant and grand Suzhou garden-style courtyard, was impressive, and the guest room was very comfortable with an excellent view of Jinji Lake. A special thanks to our butlers, Tracy and Rain, who upgraded us to a lake-view room. They were incredibly warm, attentive, and responsive throughout our stay, taking care of all our needs with a perfect balance of thoughtfulness and discretion. We truly felt at home. The dining was equally delightful. Xizhou Xuan offered exquisite and authentic dishes, and the breakfast quality was consistently high, with the Suzhou-style offerings being particularly outstanding – a truly satisfying culinary experience. The combination of attentive butler service and delicious food made this trip to Suzhou exceptionally memorable.

The young lady at the front desk was very thoughtful; she contacted us in advance to tell us about the parking location and even helped us, two elderly people, with our luggage. Bathroom: The wooden door design is excellent – early risers using the bathroom won't disturb anyone passing by. However, if someone is in the bathroom, others can't use the sink. The room layout and space are generally good. Since I was only staying in Suzhou for one day, I chose a hotel close to the station, which made getting around very convenient. The guy at the front desk was super enthusiastic; my teenage son liked their disposable manual razor, and the staff member gave him two. It's not about trying to get something for free, but that gesture alone made a huge impression!

The room is very large, there is no noise around it, but the room is not soundproof, and the hotel may not be popular. The room has a musty smell of long-term unoccupied and not very comfortable. Other leisure and entertainment facilities are on the first floor of the ground floor, and they are not good. The pool table and tablecloth are broken, the gym is idle, the lights are not found, and the TV in the KTv room is dismantled. The weather is getting colder, so it's time to soak in the hot springs! The hotel faces Taihu Lake, the air is fresh, and the view is amazing. The hotel service is also excellent; staff contacted us in advance to ask about our check-in time and number of guests. Because we were traveling with a child, they thoughtfully upgraded us to a family suite. The room was large and spacious, and had two bathrooms, which was very convenient for families. A special thank you to Xiao Liu at the front desk for her attentive and patient service over the past two days, and also to the housekeeping staff for keeping the place spotless. Nanxun Ancient Town is about 10 kilometers from the hotel, so you can drive there for a stroll.
