This hotel is absolutely amazing, probably the best value for money in the world! I usually don't like taking photos, but I couldn't stop snapping pictures at Wu Palace – every shot was perfect. I can't stop thinking about it; it's a must-stay in Suzhou, truly fantastic!

I recently visited Suzhou for a holiday, and I absolutely loved my stay at the Shangri-La on Tayuan Road! It's located in the heart of the New District, with the subway station and commercial streets within walking distance. The national chain mall, Tianjie, is right across from the hotel, offering great convenience and making my trip very enjoyable! The elegant and sophisticated decor, along with a subtle, pleasant aroma, greets you as soon as you arrive. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly. The guest rooms are packed with thoughtful touches, and the large windows offer fantastic views of Tayuan Road's bustling streets and the sparkling city lights at night. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, creating a peaceful oasis amidst the lively surroundings. The attentive service truly stood out. The guest butler communicated my preferences for check-in and provided personalized, one-on-one service with professional reception. These details truly made me feel welcome and at home. The buffet offered a rich variety of dishes, and the lobsters were a highlight – the five different flavors were incredibly delicious! Fresh seafood and authentic Suzhou-style pastries further enhanced my dining experience. The hotel's heated pool and gym facilities are also excellent, with modern and well-maintained equipment. The extended operating hours allowed plenty of time to relax and unwind during my stay. The Shangri-La on Tayuan Road truly showcases the exceptional quality of a veteran five-star hotel, adding so much joy to my trip!

Came to Suzhou for a concert during the May Day holiday and brought the kids and my parents along for a trip. The hotel is just a few steps from the subway station. You need to transfer to get to the Olympic Sports Center, but it's very convenient, only about three stops in total. The three-bedroom suite we booked this time was perfect for a large family like ours. It also has three bathrooms and a large double-door refrigerator. However, someone had put durian in the fridge before, and it smelled awful, making it unusable for us. I hope the hotel can do a better job with cleaning and deodorizing! There's an oven, microwave, and induction hob, but no pots or pans were provided. Does that mean they expect guests to cook or not? We didn't need to cook, but it just felt a bit confusing. There are restaurants and convenience stores right across from the hotel.

This Qingming holiday, I stayed at three hotels, and Wyndham was by far the best! Before booking, I saw some complaints about it being old, but I thought it was normal. For an established hotel, the hardware might be older, but what really matters is the soft services. Traveling with my child, I always feel more secure with well-known hotel brands. And indeed, I was very satisfied upon arrival. Our room was upgraded, and it was huge. The bathroom and walk-in closet felt almost like a suite layout. It was clean, and the bedding was comfortable. My child absolutely loved the classic European-style bed, feeling like a princess. The air conditioning was the absolute best. In March and April, I've stayed at Westin, Hilton, and Pullman, all of which had issues with the AC not being able to cool down enough, making the bedding feel stuffy. But at Wyndham, especially during this sudden warm spell, the Honeywell air conditioning was incredibly powerful. It provided the perfect, most comfortable temperature for sleeping under the covers that I'd experienced in days.

We had a good 3 nights rest at xiangxuehai. The hotel staff, Ms Wu of staff no. 8122 was most helpful to us at check-in and the concierge staff no. 8201 helped to locate my missing taobao parcel. The rooms is spacious and clean. We had a delicious breakfast at the hotel lobby. There are 3 breakfast shops across the street. One selling soy milk and rice rolls. Two selling noodles and steam bao, our fav is the one further from the hotel, with wax duck and Chinese sausages in front of the store

This small things matter, and it is a great attitude from the hotel and its management when the employees are willing to do extra for customers comfort! The breakfast was amazing and the lounge also. Great view to the Jinji lake and the Gate of Orient. Kids club is well equipped. We loved Crown Plaza and will come back again.

Pros: 1. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, whether it was check-in or check-out, everything was great. 2. Good location. 3. The TV has international channels. Cons: 1. The breakfast was indeed disappointing. Not only was there limited variety, but the taste was very mediocre. Especially the two boiled eggs I took were undercooked, and clearly not meant to be eaten raw. Also, several people who seemed to be chefs were chatting loudly, although the waitstaff were all fine. 2. The room door and the bed were only separated by a gauze screen, so soundproofing was poor, and noises from outside the door were clearly audible. 3. The air conditioner vent was directly facing the bed and sofa, and I'm not used to cold air blowing directly on me. 4. The pond outside the balcony was quite poor, as shown in the picture. 5. My car's Sentry Mode detected that flyers were put on it overnight. 6. Regular toilet, no bidet.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and had great facilities. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. I stayed there for two days and had a wonderful time. The only regret was that I couldn't get the coffee for breakfast on either of the two mornings I went. I arrived a little late, around 8:20 am, and it was already sold out. When I told the staff that the machine was out of coffee beans, they said, ”We've run out of coffee beans for today.” The funniest thing was that on my last day, I saw four elderly Korean men and women having breakfast. They looked like starving ghosts, each carrying several large plates of food. Two of their plates were piled high with fruit (tangerines, cherry tomatoes, oranges, watermelon, etc.). They ate most of their plates, then dumped everything into plastic bags and packed them up to take away. I was dumbfounded!

This was my first stay at this hotel. Although the building is a bit old, the room was clean, and despite the dated facilities, everything I needed was provided. The highlight was definitely the large windows in the lake-view room – they were spotless, without a single smudge or water stain, making the view of the lake incredibly enjoyable. However, because it was a weekend and many guests were checking out late the day before, I had to wait an additional 40 minutes for my room key after checking in. There was no service offered during this wait; I just sat in the lobby waiting for a call to notify me the room was ready, which was quite an uncomfortable experience. I hope the hotel can improve their service in this area.

This is one of my favorite hotels! The stay included two hot spring tickets, but the front desk staff, knowing I was traveling alone, thoughtfully swapped one for a breakfast voucher instead. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I really liked the Chinese-style decor. The bed was super comfy, and even the hairdryer was good. They even gave me snacks upon check-in – extra thoughtful! The breakfast buffet was plentiful, a great mix of Chinese and Western dishes. The robot ice cream machine was a fun touch; I had two, and they were delicious. The hot springs were also excellent. I visited at the tail end of a holiday, so it was quiet with fewer people. There's also some lovely scenery nearby. Unfortunately, I only had time to visit Emerald Lake, but it was truly beautiful and put a perfect end to my trip. If any friends come to Suzhou, I'll definitely recommend they stay at this hotel.

A clean and affordable hot spring hotel with few guests. The service attitude was genuinely excellent – friendly, attentive, and patient. The hot springs were also good; the key is that there weren't many people, making for a very relaxing soak. Soaking in the winter is truly comfortable. We were warm and toasty, and it wasn't cold at all walking back from the outdoor pools. The breakfast was abundant with plenty of choices. However, a few complaints: The family room was advertised to have a sofa bed, but it was very small, only suitable for a child. Once unfolded, half was a hardboard and half a soft cushion, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The shampoo and body wash provided for showering at the hot springs were quite low-quality, and there was no conditioner. Also, the changing room air conditioning was insufficient, so it was quite cold while changing clothes.

Facilities: The overall layout is quite good, with excellent greenery and ample space. It's lovely to take a walk along the lake. The Taihu Lake view and water quality are decent. Hygiene: The public areas could use some improvement; it seems there isn't a dedicated cleaner for them. However, the room's hygiene was quite good. Breakfast: Too many people! The variety is quite rich, but it gets incredibly crowded during holidays. Hot Springs: Soaking in the hot springs at night was great because you can't see much. During the day, they were closed in the morning due to a lawn wedding happening outside. Swimming Pool: The temperature was fine, but the shower areas need better hygiene. Kids' Area: I recommend adding a sandpit or some non-powered play equipment to keep kids entertained longer. Butler Service: Ella was excellent! Our room had mosquitoes, and she immediately brought mosquito repellent. Her service was very attentive.

My husband and I were met with the warmest of welcomes here! The hosts and staff were all really friendly and willing to even prepare some dinner for us after we arrived late in the evening. The gardens are beautiful and well-tended and lovely to just walk around in or sit and enjoy. We had a queen bed room Mountain View - which was quite spacious, smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean, with sufficient amenities even a balcony and mini-sauna. Breakfast was local-style and very filling. This location is great for a remote getaway experience, for some peace and quiet and if you want to explore nature. The only thing to note is that the surrounding village is rather small so there aren’t many other food options/ stores etc, so best to come prepared. All in all, we had a wonderful time and are hoping to return in the spring!

Nanyuan Hotel is a living museum in itself. Not only was it once the former residence of Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Wei-kuo, but it also served as Suzhou's state guesthouse. My stay in Building 7 was steeped in Republic of China-era retro charm. Opening the window revealed pavilions, terraces, and quaint bridges over flowing water. My overall experience at W Suzhou was exceptional this time, and I must give a special shout-out to my dedicated butler, Regina. From our initial communication about room preferences before check-in, Regina was incredibly patient. She helped arrange the room setup in advance, and on the day of arrival, the check-in process was smooth and efficient. Throughout my stay, whether it was requesting extra amenities, asking for local sightseeing recommendations, or needing assistance with minor issues, her responses were always prompt, and her handling of every request was meticulous and thorough. Just a few minutes' walk from Pingjiang Road and the Humble Administrator's Garden, this hotel offers a quiet retreat right in the heart of Suzhou. There are supermarkets and eateries nearby, and delivery services can reach the hotel. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Jiangnan-style garden with a water feature, and the pavilions and rockeries look absolutely stunning when lit up at night – perfect for photos! The 'Tianyi Tower' room type I stayed in this time was excellent. The central garden with its water features is incredibly beautiful; during the day, koi fish swim gracefully, and at night, the stone lanterns reflect on the water. Every photo you take here captures that classic Chinese aesthetic, echoing the Ming Dynasty Northern Half Garden's charm, with every step revealing a new picturesque view. The guest rooms feature a new Chinese elegant style. The twin room was spacious, and the magnolia embroidery on the headboard added a lovely touch of Suzhou charm. The bathroom was very well-designed with fluted glass and a circular mirror, and the wet/dry separation was excellent. They even provide Bvlgari White Tea toiletries! The cool, sophisticated white tea scent was absolutely captivating; after showering, the entire room had a subtle tea fragrance, truly showing attention to detail. My only minor gripe was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but otherwise, everything was perfect. The breakfast was authentic and culturally rich. This is definitely a garden-experience hotel you must stay at when visiting Suzhou.

This is a resort that several friends had highly recommended to me, and I finally got the opportunity to check it out myself. Overall, the price didn't deter me at all. Considering the price alone, the nearly 7,000 package offered incredible value for money with everything it included: 1. I also got a fantastic full-body spa treatment. (This spa session alone would have been quite expensive elsewhere!) 2. The package also included a health consultation, giving me a comprehensive understanding of my physical condition. 3. great little getaway for a night. We used the public hot springs, which had a good few to choose from and wasnt overcrowded. I would recommend to the hotel and other hot spring hotels, that they keep kids from splashing and to use the actual swimming pool even if its cold. Guests come to relax. Not to participate in hot spring kids swimming lessons. But everything else was good. There was also no restaurant available. We were taken on a short walk out of the hotel to a restaurant which seemed to be the only thing available. We only really went for the hot springs and luckily we had a private one that we could finally relax in. Would recommend.
