We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou! The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children. The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience! The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property. Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!

Staying at the Shangri-La Suzhou on Shishan Road, Number 168, was the most delightful surprise of my leisurely trip to Suzhou, perfectly embodying the relaxed charm of Jiangnan. Tucked away in the bustling Shishan area, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat. It's a short walk to Saoshan Park and a quick drive to Jinji Lake. During the day, you can admire the shimmering waters of Jinji Lake, and by night, enjoy the glittering lights along its shores – a perfect blend of Suzhou's classic and modern beauty unlocked with ease. The hotel's decor seamlessly blends Jiangnan elegance with modern luxury. The crystal chandelier in the lobby creates a fantastic ambiance, and the public areas feature garden-like landscaping, making it very photogenic. The high-floor rooms offer exceptional views; by day, you see the sprawling city, and at night, the twinkling city lights fill your gaze. The room furnishings are warm and elegant, and the amenities are high-quality. The turndown service thoughtfully provides eye masks and bottled water, with heartwarming details at every turn. The Squirrel Fish and Suzhou-style Huaiyang dishes at the Shang Palace Chinese restaurant are authentic and delicious. The all-day breakfast offers a mix of Western and Chinese options, with freshly made noodles that are incredibly flavorful. In my free time, I enjoyed the heated pool and the gym. It's also incredibly convenient to get to Pingjiang Road, Shantang Street, and Jinji Lake. The service throughout was attentive and discreet – never intrusive but always available when needed. Choosing this hotel for a stay in Suzhou allows you to enjoy quiet comfort while easily accessing major attractions like Jinji Lake. The vacation experience was simply impeccable.

Came to Suzhou for a concert during the May Day holiday and brought the kids and my parents along for a trip. The hotel is just a few steps from the subway station. You need to transfer to get to the Olympic Sports Center, but it's very convenient, only about three stops in total. The three-bedroom suite we booked this time was perfect for a large family like ours. It also has three bathrooms and a large double-door refrigerator. However, someone had put durian in the fridge before, and it smelled awful, making it unusable for us. I hope the hotel can do a better job with cleaning and deodorizing! There's an oven, microwave, and induction hob, but no pots or pans were provided. Does that mean they expect guests to cook or not? We didn't need to cook, but it just felt a bit confusing. There are restaurants and convenience stores right across from the hotel.

Without a doubt, this is the worst five-star hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms and facilities are old and run-down. Everything from the walls to the elevators and the room fixtures was filthy. The weirdest thing is there's no proper shower in the room, just a bathtub. If you want to shower, you have to stand inside the tub and use a handheld sprayer. On top of that, the water temperature was impossible to adjust – it kept switching between freezing cold and scalding hot. For a room like this, costing 489 yuan a night, it should really be around 200 yuan. Even though it's an older hotel from 2012, I didn't expect a chain brand to be this bad. The staff's attitude was good, and both the Chinese restaurant and breakfast selection were quite varied. I originally wanted to give a terrible review, but since I booked it myself, I decided not to be too harsh.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I brought my family to stay at Hotel Nikko Suzhou. The hotel is conveniently located in the Huqiu district, right next to Shizishan Metro Station, making transportation easy. There are plenty of dining options nearby. Although the hotel shows its age a bit with slightly dated decor and facilities, it's well-maintained, upholding the standards of a seasoned star-rated hotel. We stayed in an Executive King Room. While the room wasn't large, the view from the 27th floor was excellent, especially the mesmerizing night view. The room has a distinct Japanese style, with efficient use of space throughout, making it convenient and clean. The complimentary afternoon tea and executive lounge benefits were nothing spectacular, but given the reasonable price of the room, we couldn't ask for more. As it's a Nikko hotel, the breakfast is a blend of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The Chinese-style Suzhou noodles and Japanese curry and rich soups were particularly noteworthy. Finally, regarding the service, the hotel staff were attentive and thoughtful. Jiajia at the front desk was especially enthusiastic and professional during both check-in and check-out. Five-star rating for her!

The hotel's cleanliness and service attitude both exceeded my expectations. I had originally planned to inspect the room before booking, but the impression the front desk gave me immediately put me at ease, so I booked on the spot. This hotel was a pleasant surprise! When I booked, I didn't realize it was an established garden hotel in Suzhou; I just thought it was conveniently located. But upon entering, I was greeted by lush greenery, rockeries, gardens, pavilions, and streams all around, which was absolutely refreshing. The room decor isn't modern, but it exudes a classic, old-money charm that feels sophisticated and substantial. Manager Wang Qin upgraded me to a deluxe twin room in the garden building and even gave my daughter a small gift. My window overlooked a small courtyard, and I slept wonderfully. During the day, I explored Pingjiang Road, Canglang Pavilion, Ouyuan Garden, and Keyuan Garden. This is my second visit to Suzhou, and it made me fall in love with the city all over again. Suzhou, I'll be back! Jinling Nanlin Hotel, see you next time!

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel! It felt really luxurious and grand. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and there was no strange odor when we walked in. They even provided Nongfu Spring bottled water, not some cheap brand. Everything was spotless, and the breakfast had great quality ingredients – very enjoyable. Even the faucets were brand-name! The staff were lovely. I'll definitely be back to stay here again.

I chose the InterContinental for my weekend trip to Suzhou. The exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior is well-maintained. After inquiring, they upgraded my room to one with an Oriental Arc view. The room was spacious and well-equipped. The night view from the bar was beautiful, and the breakfast selection was extensive. Overall, I was quite satisfied! The only minor annoyance was receiving multiple calls and even texts for a post-checkout survey, which felt a bit intrusive.

Pros: The building's cruise ship-like design is highly distinctive and unique. Located right next to Jinji Lake, the entire building lights up at night, creating an absolutely stunning view when combined with the lake and the city's nightscape across the water. Evening strolls around the lake offer fantastic photo opportunities. The frontline staff are excellent. The doorman actively helped with luggage, and the front desk reception was warm and courteous, responding quickly to any questions. Cons: The family room was cramped, seemingly converted from a standard twin room. Due to the hotel's curved cruise ship architectural structure, the overall space was on the smaller side. After placing the beds and children's toys, the activity area felt very crowded. The attention to detail was lacking; there was no step stool for children in the bathroom, which is a noticeable shortcoming compared to similarly priced family-friendly hotels. The hotel has been open for some years, and the facilities are showing some age; the carpets in the public areas had noticeable stains, which was unsightly. During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the swimming pool was extremely crowded. Coupled with the pool's age and small size, swimming felt very cramped. I recommend avoiding peak times if you plan to use it.

Seeing that Suzhou Marriott Hotel had a promotional rate, and I was planning to visit Suzhou Bay Museum and Grand Theatre over the weekend, I immediately booked a stay. A 60-square-meter suite with lounge access felt amazing. It's very convenient to get around; just a few hundred meters walk from Xihuan Road Station on Metro Line 1. I originally booked a Classic Room package. The front desk staff suggested upgrading to a Balcony Room, which is 30 square meters larger, for an additional 500 RMB. I took their advice, and after comparing, I think it was worth it because not only did I get more space, but also a large balcony and double breakfast. The room was high-ceilinged and cool, the air conditioning was comfortable, and the mattress was very pleasant. There were many books in the room to browse. The bathroom had a double vanity, but I was a little disappointed that not every sink had both hand soap and lotion. The left sink had hand soap, and the right one had lotion. So, if you wanted to wash your hands, you went to the left sink, and then to the right sink for lotion after washing. The two sinks were quite far apart with a large bathtub in the middle. I hope the hotel can be a bit more generous and provide both items at each sink, which would be much more convenient. From the moment I entered the hotel, the service felt like I was entering my own home. There were complimentary snacks, and the tea served was also good. All the staff greeted me with proactive smiles. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but everything was high quality, though there's room for improvement with the Western pastries. This trip, I specifically went for the noodles at Su Mian Fang. The service and taste were absolutely incredible, though the price was a bit on the high side. I wanted to eat them again. I'm not sure if it's because I rarely eat Su noodles and am therefore less knowledgeable, or if they truly are considered a delicacy among Suzhou noodles. Additionally, the hotel's environment is very Suzhou-like, and it's located by the lake in front of the Gate of the Orient.

Excellent hotel, probably the best in Xiangcheng District, this is my second stay. Our destination this time was the Redwood Tree at Huqiu Wetland Park, about seven or eight kilometers away, and the wide roads made for a very smooth journey. The hotel was beautifully decorated and had great facilities. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. I stayed there for two days and had a wonderful time. The only regret was that I couldn't get the coffee for breakfast on either of the two mornings I went. I arrived a little late, around 8:20 am, and it was already sold out. When I told the staff that the machine was out of coffee beans, they said, ”We've run out of coffee beans for today.” The funniest thing was that on my last day, I saw four elderly Korean men and women having breakfast. They looked like starving ghosts, each carrying several large plates of food. Two of their plates were piled high with fruit (tangerines, cherry tomatoes, oranges, watermelon, etc.). They ate most of their plates, then dumped everything into plastic bags and packed them up to take away. I was dumbfounded!

Okay, first off, the overall environment is pretty good, and the scenery is beautiful. It's perfect for watching the sunset. The breakfast was good too; the pan-fried dumplings were delicious, and they had Shengze shaomai (steamed dumplings). Now, for areas that could be improved. Firstly, the third restroom in the lobby has a changing table, but no nursing room. This means if you've already checked out or haven't checked in yet, and need to breastfeed, your only option is in your car. That's not particularly convenient. Secondly, the cribs provided by the hotel are very deep. They might be suitable for toddlers around one or two, or even three or four years old, but they're not ideal for younger babies. Of course, the hotel does provide bed rails, but we brought our own co-sleeper. For families traveling with infants, I'd recommend bringing your own co-sleeper to this hotel. After all, the adult beds are relatively soft, and there's a risk of accidentally rolling over onto a small baby during sleep. Thirdly, the front desk staff aren't very knowledgeable about local attractions or recommended travel services. I think there's room for improvement here. They don't need to provide detailed travel guides or anything, just some simple suggestions, especially for families traveling with children, would be helpful.

This hotel has been around for a long time. I visited about a decade and a half ago, and back then, it felt very serene and secluded. However, I've noticed significant changes this time. It's clear they've kept up with the times, putting a lot of effort into various aspects like the environment, attention to detail, value-added services, and marketing. Overall, I found it to be pretty good value for money. While the facilities aren't as new as those in recently built hotels, the rooms are completely free of any strange or musty smells, and the location is excellent. The hot spring pools are conveniently clustered together, making it perfect for families with children and seniors. My only slight disappointment was that the 'fish spa' pool didn't actually have any fish. The front desk staff were all very warm and friendly, and the restaurant service was equally enthusiastic and attentive. I didn't get a chance to try any of the in-house activities, so I'm not sure what they offer.

A clean and affordable hot spring hotel with few guests. The service attitude was genuinely excellent – friendly, attentive, and patient. The hot springs were also good; the key is that there weren't many people, making for a very relaxing soak. Soaking in the winter is truly comfortable. We were warm and toasty, and it wasn't cold at all walking back from the outdoor pools. The breakfast was abundant with plenty of choices. However, a few complaints: The family room was advertised to have a sofa bed, but it was very small, only suitable for a child. Once unfolded, half was a hardboard and half a soft cushion, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The shampoo and body wash provided for showering at the hot springs were quite low-quality, and there was no conditioner. Also, the changing room air conditioning was insufficient, so it was quite cold while changing clothes.

The weather is getting colder, so it's time to soak in the hot springs! The hotel faces Taihu Lake, the air is fresh, and the view is amazing. The hotel service is also excellent; staff contacted us in advance to ask about our check-in time and number of guests. Because we were traveling with a child, they thoughtfully upgraded us to a family suite. The room was large and spacious, and had two bathrooms, which was very convenient for families. Facilities: The overall layout is quite good, with excellent greenery and ample space. It's lovely to take a walk along the lake. The Taihu Lake view and water quality are decent. Hygiene: The public areas could use some improvement; it seems there isn't a dedicated cleaner for them. However, the room's hygiene was quite good. Breakfast: Too many people! The variety is quite rich, but it gets incredibly crowded during holidays. Hot Springs: Soaking in the hot springs at night was great because you can't see much. During the day, they were closed in the morning due to a lawn wedding happening outside. Swimming Pool: The temperature was fine, but the shower areas need better hygiene. Kids' Area: I recommend adding a sandpit or some non-powered play equipment to keep kids entertained longer. Butler Service: Ella was excellent! I came to Suzhou from Nanjing for a business trip. My first night was at Niccolo, and my second night was at W Suzhou. I've stayed at many Marriott-branded hotels – The Westin Sanya, Nanjing Jinfeng, Shenzhen Kaisa, Zhongzhou, Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott, Xi'an JW, Sanya, Xi'an, Hong Kong, Chengdu Ritz, Beijing Bulgari, etc. By all accounts, I'm a loyal Marriott customer, but this was my first time staying at a W hotel. Let me start by saying this: it completely changed my perception of what a hotel could be; in fact, it hardly felt like a hotel at all. The day before check-in, Sally, the hotel concierge, called to ask about my room preferences. Upon learning that I liked high-floor rooms, she met me at the front desk early the next day. The hotel lobby's decor, rather than being 'nightclub-esque,' felt more like a private club that never closes. It wasn't tacky; there were no cheap, mixed perfumes often found in nightclubs. Instead, it exuded luxurious design and a top-tier experience. Entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by a suspended swing chair. Due to the twin bed room type, the hotel could only upgrade me to a partial lake view room, but the view genuinely impressed me. While Niccolo's view focused on an unobstructed skyline, W’s view emphasized the dazzling lights on the horizon. The vanity, tables, and chairs, and most surfaces used colored acrylic (or perhaps glass?), strongly highlighting W’s signature high-saturation color palette. My only regret is that due to my tight schedule, I couldn't visit the pool that the hotel highly recommended – apparently, it's right in front of the DJ booth. Next time I stay, I definitely want to try it out! 😂 Now for a small suggestion after all the positives: the sound quality of the speakers in the room wasn't great. Personally, if W positions itself as a social party hub for young people, then the hardware should be impeccable. 🥲 However, this minor flaw doesn't detract from the overall experience; aside from this, there's virtually nothing else to fault. To summarize, Suzhou W adds a youthful, design-forward vibe while retaining the service and experience of traditional luxury hotels. It's not suited for business travelers or those who prefer quiet. It's perfect for young people, dating couples, and artists. If you love design, vibrancy, and art, choosing W Hotel is a foolproof option. I hope the hotel maintains its original vision and design sensibility. I look forward to an even more perfect experience on my next stay!

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. This is a resort that several friends had highly recommended to me, and I finally got the opportunity to check it out myself. Overall, the price didn't deter me at all. Considering the price alone, the nearly 7,000 package offered incredible value for money with everything it included: 1. I also got a fantastic full-body spa treatment. Traveling during the Dragon Boat Festival, we chose the Shangri-La Hotel, and it was very convenient for getting around. The hotel has been around for a while, but once you step into the lobby and then into the room, you can tell the team really takes good care of and maintains the property. There were no dings on the walls, no stains on the carpets, no scratches on the table corners, and not a speck of dirt near the headboard. Both the front desk lady and the housekeeping staff were always smiling and provided great service. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, with most items made fresh – no cutting corners there. Fruits and vegetables were constantly being refilled. Even with many guests coming in late, it never felt sparse or unorganized. At checkout, we received a lovely little gift. Huge thanks to our butler, Kyrie, for the excellent service throughout our stay. Traveling with elderly parents and children, everyone in my family had a great experience. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the welcome fruit, though simple, was fresh. We had breakfast and dinner at the Executive Lounge. It would be great if they could vary the food offerings daily, as staying and eating there for multiple days can feel a bit repetitive. The main buffet restaurant, however, had a wide selection of dishes and a bright atmosphere. The staff at the live cooking stations were particularly warm and attentive—a much better experience than the Executive Lounge. What impressed me the most was the staff at the bar on the first floor; they provided continuous, excellent service even as we stayed until their closing time at 11 PM! This was my second visit to Suzhou, and I'll definitely be back, and I'll consider staying at the Hyatt again!

Park Hyatt Suzhou | A livable 'modern Suzhou mansion.' It seamlessly blends the elegance and grandeur of modern Suzhou gardens, with the hotel's interior designed as a contemporary Suzhou garden, offering picturesque views at every turn. The courtyard features a vibrant koi pond, and both the pond's edge and the entrance are adorned with precious Japanese black pines, symbolizing good fortune and hospitality, creating a stately yet elegant atmosphere. The corridors connecting the various functional areas offer a constantly changing scenery, allowing you to experience the charm of Jiangnan gardens with every step. The lake-view terrace suite is spacious and well-appointed, providing a very comfortable stay. Our butler, Danny, checked in with warm greetings every day, which was a lovely touch 🥰. Escape the hustle and bustle and completely relax in this tranquil and elegant environment. A few days here are truly delightful [heart emoji].

The hotel has a parking lot, which was very convenient for us since we were driving. We could get a parking voucher at the bar. The young lady at the front desk was very thoughtful; she contacted us in advance to tell us about the parking location and even helped us, two elderly people, with our luggage. The service was excellent. The room facilities were also very complete! [Strong][Strong]

Cleanliness is consistently good: Rooms are clean, bedding is comfortable, and wet/dry separation is generally well-executed. Most people describe it as 'spotless'. • High value for money: Prices are mostly between 200–400 RMB per night. For a price point comparable to a 3-star hotel, you get European-style decor and a warmly lit lobby. • Standardized service: The front desk is responsive, luggage storage is available, some locations have robots for item delivery, and free parking is offered. • Practical breakfast: Simple Chinese and Western options, including congee/noodles/bread/fruit – enough to fill you up, with some local specialties. • Poor soundproofing (most common complaint): You can clearly hear conversations in the hallway, doors opening and closing, and the TV in the next room. Street-facing rooms will have traffic noise. • Inconsistent facility newness: ◦ New branches (after 2022): Smart room controls, fresh air systems, wood-look flooring, 25–28㎡ rooms. ◦ Older branches: Worn carpets, outdated furniture, limescale on showerheads, slow drains, some rooms without windows/lingering smoke smell. • Inconsistent service: Slow check-in during peak times, some front desk staff can be indifferent, and complaint resolution is average. • Small space: Basic rooms are about 20㎡, making it cramped to move around once luggage is placed. • Smoke/unpleasant odors: Some non-smoking rooms still have a smoke smell, and occasional drain odors.

It is right to come to Swissotel this summer. The hotel has its own swimming pool. In the hot summer, it is very comfortable to play in the water in the swimming pool. The hotel environment is very good, refreshing, clean and hygienic. The room area is super large, twice as large as other hotels. The breakfast in the morning has a little less variety. The gym, billiard room, table tennis, guests can play as they like. It is said that it is built according to the standards of a five-star hotel, and it is worth everyone to come and check in. My partner likes this hotel very much and said that he will choose this hotel next time he comes to Suzhou.
