Mercure Suzhou Shilu Shantang Street Hotel

It's so weird to check in at lvl 20. lvl 1 under reno and its so dusty. Have to wheel down a super steep 3 steps stairs before getting to lift and need to take lift to lvl 20 for check in. staff did not inform there is two lifts. one lift can directly reach hotel and no need to go back to lobby to access. great that there is washing machine. great that theres alot of power point and usb/typec point i didnt even need to plug my multiplug. cons: No aircon and the air was warm when we turn on the airconditioning. open the window for colder air to come in room. did not like that the toilet lights made the ppl inside visible to see from outside. worse is that if you are in the toilet, if you are at the shower next you can see the person sitting as the light shines the make it visible. bad design.

Really love this hotel with such a nice view from the reception floors 20th floor to see the Shantang Street.Very convenient to all tourists attractions and near to the metro station.Super tasty breakfast.All staff is very friendly and helpful cos as our stays me and my husband was sick they even helped us to order food and medicine to our room.We also had free Hagen das ice cream coz due to the room we booked.Love their free dessert white funges and red dates sweet soup.

Overall great hotel, very clean and nicely decorated rooms, lovely and friendly service. We got an upgrade which was very lovely and a welcome gift (ice-cream). The only drawback is the lift. The hotel is located between 15-20 floors, so it shares the building with other business, which makes lifts extremely slow and packed. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay.

Was booked 3 room for my family trip to Suzhou, was a very terrible experience I ever had in China .First time making me so disappointed to wrote this review at 2am . First day I check in I already come late at 530pm they mentioned the room hadn't done yet and asked me wait till 6pm to get the room done as the check in timing is 2pm . Second the room aircon temperature CANNOT BE adjust as they mentioned the weather is COLD outside "They say aircon is centralised, because today weather cold, they set to warm for the whole building " THE ROOM TOTALLY NO AIR AT ALL ITS SWEATING AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I CALLED TO ASK FOR HELP IS VERY RUDE ! THIRDLY THE PERSON OFFER SEND ME A FAN TO MY ROOM COME TO MY ROOM AND TOLD ME THE ROOM I BOOKED WAS NO WINDOWS! ITS THAT MY WRONG? AT THE FIRST DAY I CALL THE RECEPTION I DID ASKED TOO WHY ITS MY BOOKING I BOOKED ROOM WITH VIEW AND NOW I GET A ROOM WITHOUT WINDOWS THE RECEPTION EXPLAIN THAT IS TRIP APPS ISSUE, SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE APPS !! LIFT ALSO WORSE WHOLE BUILDING 20 LEVEL USING 2 ONLY 2 LIFT NEED TO WAIT FOREVER FOR THE LIFT TO COME ! ITS DAMM HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER .

Staff is very friendly and very accommodating to my request. Even went the extra mile to provide a free upgrade to a more spacious bed as i am unaware that the room i booked comes with the bed on the smaller side for two occupants. Room is very clean with all facilities well maintained. Location wise, it is very near to Shilu station which is a few minutes walk. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended and will definitely stay here again for my next trip to Suzhou. Oh, did i mention the free Haagen Daaz ice-cream? 10/10 experience wise.

Hotel is located near to the mrt station. It is about 15 to 20 min away from Shantang street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reply via wechat may be delayed to the next day, best to call the reception if you need immediate assistance. I am happy with the hygiene condition of my room. The only flaw is the shared lift that can potentially take up 10 min of your waiting time.

Very nice hotel in a nice spot to explore Suzhou on foot. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice view from the 20th-floor lobby. English-speaking in the reception.

Very nice and helpful front desk staffs. Housekeeping staffs are polite too. Room is very clean, in room TV is 65", with plenty of viewing choices.
