"I believe this hotel is advertised as a 4 star resort which is shocking because the room we stayed in was filled with mold, stains, bugs and smelt of mold/drainage. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in months. There were also loads of bugs under the mattress. Sadly, looking at previous reviews from different websites, this seems to be an ongoing problem that isn’t resolved. It’s a shame because this hotel has so much potential - it’s so close to the beach, nearby restaurants and the ferry. The staff were also friendly. However, there seems to be a similar theme that the hotel is very run down and needs TLC but remains very expensive. This was one of the most expensive hotel rooms we booked in our trip and it was by far the worst."

Koh Rong Hill Beach Resort

"Always keep in mind you’re on an island that not too far back was only a jungle. The place is very nice, the idea based on which is build was very good, however there is quite some room for improvement with respect to maintenance. Rooms should have some chairs and a small table where you could put your things. Doors should be replaced with ones that can actually be closed, the issue with the sewerage smell in the washrooms should be sorted out. Those are not major things, but rather the small details that matters. Once again, you’re at the jungle’s edge, it is normal to encounter all kind of forms of wildlife such as lizards, gecko, small spiders etc, however in the 5 days spent there I haven’t seen any dangerous wildlife (snakes, scorpions, tarantulas and the kind)."

"The resort is ideal for families, it's very convenient because it has a private beach, pools, and it’s peaceful in the evenings. The café and restaurant are located right by the beach. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they welcomed us at the port and arranged boat transportation. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone coming to Koh Rong!"

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. There are som improvements and minor setbacks. The room and water from the bathtub is clean, no weird smelss. They also give like 10 bottles of water in the room which is much appreciated. The gym is really far and beacb is smelly. Pool is big. Breakfast was a letdown. Would stay again."

"this is a unique spot, you can arrive at resort by the resort boat what is very nice. the resort have cosy environment and even they were completely sold out you were no seeing so many persons. the beach is amazing and you can choose your own villa with private pool. the staff is very professional and always there to support you. they some social sustainability activities like planting trees or visit local primary and kindergarten school and give some gifts. they supporting the implementation of system for the children to have water to drink in the school. the involvement of all staff in community is amazing."
