Winter scenery, photography and peaceful sightseeing

December temperatures in Jiuzhaigou are commonly reported to range from around -1°C to 9°C, although actual conditions vary with elevation, weather and the location of your accommodation. Temperatures can fall considerably lower during cold spells.

How Cold Is Jiuzhaigou in December?

December is part of Jiuzhaigou's winter season, so you should prepare for chilly days and freezing mornings or evenings.

During sunny afternoons, temperatures may rise to around 9°C, making it possible to explore the scenic area with the right layers. However, shaded paths, higher-altitude lakes and areas exposed to wind can feel much colder.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Early mornings are cold: Temperatures can be below freezing when you arrive at the park.
  • Daytime weather can change: Sunny conditions may feel comfortable while shaded areas remain chilly.
  • Higher areas are colder: Lakes and scenic spots at higher elevations may experience colder conditions than lower sections of the valley.
  • Snow and ice are possible: Paths may become slippery after snowfall or overnight freezing.
🌺Tips: I would recommend wearing thermal innerwear, a fleece or warm sweater, and an insulated winter jacket rather than relying on a regular hoodie

Does It Snow in Jiuzhaigou in December

Yes, snow is possible in Jiuzhaigou in December, but snowfall is not guaranteed every day or across the entire scenic area.

Jiuzhaigou's mountain climate means temperatures and conditions can differ between elevations. Higher areas are more likely to experience snow and ice, while lower sections may remain relatively clear.

Here is what you might experience:

  • Fresh snowfall: Trees, mountain slopes and walking paths may be dusted with snow after a snowfall.
  • Frozen waterfalls: Prolonged cold weather can create ice formations around waterfalls.
  • Blue-green lakes: Many lakes may retain their distinctive colours even when the surrounding landscape is wintry.
  • Frosty forests: Cold mornings can leave frost on trees and vegetation, even without fresh snow.

If your main goal is to see a white winter landscape, keep your expectations flexible. Check the forecast a few days before departure and look for recent visitor updates rather than relying on seasonal photos alone.

Top Scenic Areas to Visit on Jiuzhaigou in December

1. Five Flower Lake

Five Flower Lake

Five Flower Lake is one of Jiuzhaigou's most famous attractions, known for its clear water and striking blue-green colours.

In December, the surrounding forest may be covered in frost or snow, creating a beautiful contrast with the lake. However, the lake does not necessarily freeze completely and its appearance depends on the temperature and recent weather.

Things to do:

  • Take photos of the lake's blue-green water against the winter landscape.
  • Enjoy the views of the surrounding forests and mountain scenery.
  • Look out for frost or fresh snowfall after colder weather.

2. Long Lake

Long Lake

Long Lake sits at a higher elevation than many other attractions in Jiuzhaigou, so it can feel particularly cold in winter.

Depending on the weather, you may see snow-covered surroundings or ice along parts of the lakeshore. Temperatures can be lower here than near the park entrance, so dress warmly when visiting higher areas.

Things to do:

  • Admire the expansive alpine lake and surrounding mountains.
  • Photograph the winter scenery when visibility is good.
  • Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere away from the busier sightseeing areas, if access permits.

Check which sections of the scenic area are open before travelling, as winter conditions can affect access.

3. Nuorilang Waterfall

Nuorilang Lakes

Nuorilang Waterfall is another highlight worth including in your winter itinerary. When temperatures remain low for several days, parts of the waterfall may freeze into dramatic ice formations.

However, the waterfall is not guaranteed to be completely frozen throughout December. Check recent visitor updates and local conditions if seeing frozen waterfalls is a priority.

Things to do:

  • Photograph the waterfall and its surrounding forest.
  • Look for ice formations along the waterfall when temperatures are sufficiently low.
  • Enjoy the contrast between flowing water, ice and winter vegetation.

4. Shuzheng Lake

Shu Zheng Lakes

The Shuzheng Lake are known for their layered lakes and forest scenery. In winter, the area can take on a peaceful appearance with frosty trees and possible snow along the walking paths.

Some sections of the lakes may remain unfrozen because of flowing water while others may develop ice in colder weather.

Things to do:

  • Take photos of the lakes and their reflections.
  • Explore the designated viewing platforms and walking paths.
  • Look for frost-covered trees and other winter details along the way.

5. Zharu Valley and the Surrounding Mountains

The surrounding mountain scenery is another reason to visit Jiuzhaigou in winter. Higher elevations have a greater chance of snow and freezing conditions, although access to individual areas may be restricted depending on the weather and park operations.

Things to do:

  • Admire the snow-dusted mountain scenery when conditions allow.
  • Take landscape photographs of the forests and valleys.
  • Enjoy the quieter atmosphere of winter nature, where visitor access is available.

For a December trip prioritise attractions confirmed to be open rather than planning your itinerary around a specific snowy viewpoint.

What to Wear for Jiuzhaigou Weather in December

Jiuzhaigou Weather in December Outfit

If you are travelling from Singapore, packing suitable winter clothing is essential. You may spend several hours outdoors and the temperature can feel much colder when you are standing still to take photos.

Here is a practical packing list:

  1. Thermal innerwear: Bring thermal tops and bottoms to keep your body warm, especially during early morning sightseeing.
  2. Down jacket or insulated winter coat: Choose a jacket that provides proper warmth and some wind protection.
  3. Fleece or wool sweater: Wear this between your thermal layer and outer jacket for extra insulation.
  4. Warm trousers: Thermal leggings under trousers can help on particularly cold days.
  5. Gloves: Insulated gloves are useful when taking photographs or walking outdoors for long periods.
  6. Beanie and scarf: Protect your ears and neck from cold winds.
  7. Water-resistant walking shoes: Choose comfortable shoes with good grip for potentially wet, icy or snowy paths.
  8. Warm socks: Wool or thermal socks help keep your feet comfortable in cold weather.
  9. Sunscreen and sunglasses: UV exposure can still be strong at higher elevations, even when the weather feels cold.
  10. Moisturiser and lip balm: Cold, dry conditions can leave your skin and lips feeling uncomfortable.
  11. Portable charger: Cold weather can reduce battery performance, so keep your phone and power bank insulated when possible.
💫Packing tip: Wear several layers rather than one extremely thick outfit. You can remove a layer when walking becomes warmer and add it again when resting outdoors.

Best Time of Day to Visit Jiuzhaigou in December

Long Lake

The best time to explore Jiuzhaigou in December is generally from the morning until early afternoon, when you have more daylight to enjoy the lakes, waterfalls and winter scenery. Starting early also gives you more time to visit the main attractions before the park closes.

Mornings can be freezing, but the light can create beautiful views of frosty forests and snow-covered mountains. By midday, temperatures may become slightly more comfortable if the sun is out. However, shaded paths can remain icy, and temperatures usually drop again towards late afternoon.

If you are visiting from Singapore, I recommend dressing in layers and planning your route before entering the scenic area. Winter conditions and operating hours can affect how many attractions you can comfortably visit in one day.

Tips for planning your visit:

  • Start early: Winter daylight is limited, so avoid arriving late in the morning.
  • Prioritise your favourite attractions: Jiuzhaigou is large, and visiting every scenic spot in one day may not be practical.
  • Take breaks indoors where possible: A warm lunch break can make a big difference when temperatures are near or below freezing.
  • Leave enough time to exit: Do not wait until the last minute to return to the entrance, especially in winter.
  • Check conditions on the day: Snow, ice or temporary closures may require you to adjust your route.

For the best experience, aim to complete most of your outdoor sightseeing by mid-afternoon. You will have more time to enjoy the scenery in daylight without rushing through the park as temperatures fall.

Tips for Visiting Jiuzhaigou in December for Singaporeans

Jiuzhai Songcheng Show Park

1. Check the latest weather forecast

Weather conditions can change quickly in mountainous areas. Check the forecast for Jiuzhaigou itself, rather than relying only on Chengdu's weather.

2. Confirm park opening arrangements

Winter is the scenic area's off-season, and some attractions or facilities may have seasonal restrictions. Check the official park website before your visit.

3. Allow enough time to reach Jiuzhaigou

Many travellers use Chengdu as their starting point and continue by high-speed train and road transfer. Winter weather may affect travel times, so avoid scheduling a tight connection on the same day.

4. Wear shoes with good grip

Snow and ice can make walking surfaces slippery. Take extra care on steps, boardwalks and shaded paths.

5. Protect your skin from the cold and sun

Apply sunscreen during the day and bring moisturiser and lip balm. The combination of cold air, dry conditions and higher-altitude sun can be uncomfortable if you are not prepared.

6. Keep your itinerary flexible

Some outdoor attractions may be affected by snowfall, ice or operational changes. Have alternative activities available in case certain sections are closed.

7. Prepare for higher-altitude conditions

Jiuzhaigou's scenic areas include elevations above 2,000 metres. Walk at a comfortable pace, stay hydrated and rest if you feel unwell. Seek medical help if you develop severe breathlessness, confusion or other concerning symptoms.

8. Check holiday travel arrangements

Late December can overlap with year-end travel demand. Book accommodation and transport in advance if you are visiting during the Christmas and New Year period.

Is December a Good Time to Visit Jiuzhaigou

Jiuzhai Beautiful China Resort

December can be a good time to visit Jiuzhaigou if you enjoy peaceful scenery, crisp winter air and the possibility of seeing snow or frozen waterfalls.

One of the biggest advantages is the quieter atmosphere compared with the popular autumn foliage season. You may also find lower seasonal prices for some hotels, although actual rates depend on dates and demand.

However, there are a few trade-offs. The weather is cold, daylight hours are shorter, and some attractions or facilities may operate differently during the winter season. Snow is also not guaranteed, so it is best not to plan your entire trip around seeing a fully snow-covered landscape.

For Singaporeans, I would recommend December if you are comfortable with cold weather and want to experience a quieter side of Sichuan. If colourful autumn forests are your priority, consider visiting in autumn instead.

Before booking, check the latest forecast, park access information and transport schedules. With suitable clothing and a flexible itinerary, a winter visit can be a memorable way to experience Jiuzhaigou.

Our stay at the Hilton Jiuzhaigou Resort far exceeded expectations! A special thanks to Lucy at the front desk for her warm and professional service; she thoughtfully upgraded us to a signature view room. The view from the room was breathtaking—simply open the window to stunning scenery. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable, and the overall experience was fantastic. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Jiuzhaigou. Highly recommended!

The room was great, and the service was extremely warm and welcoming. I slept soundly, and the breakfast was also fantastic. Visiting a high-altitude area during this season, a warm cup of ginger tea is a wonderful touch, though the tea could be kept a bit hotter in the afternoon. The beef noodles ordered to the room for our first meal upon arrival were delicious, and the spicy and sour chicken giblets rice noodles at breakfast were equally amazing. They also helped us book round-trip transfers to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. After a day of exploring, making a cup of tea in the room was so peaceful and relaxing. It was a fantastic three-day, two-night trip.

This hotel is very close to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, about a 10-minute walk. In the morning, you can walk to the scenic area to go uphill, so you don't need to wake up early or worry about traffic jams. The lobby offers free luggage storage, which is very convenient for travelers. After exploring the scenic area and coming down the mountain, you can reserve a **pool (a large Jacuzzi tub), which is great for children to play in. You'll need to bring your own swimwear, and reservations open after 5 PM. The hotel lobby also provides free black coffee, tea, pastries, and fruits, available for self-service at any time.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to 'The Romantic Show of Songcheng Park'. There are many dining options right outside the door, and the hotpot restaurant on the second floor directly opposite is great, even better than some of the '网红店' (internet-famous shops). The hotel breakfast is plentiful, but I didn't have time to experience the hot springs. The butler, YUYING, added me on WeChat in advance and provided excellent service. After visiting Jiuzhaigou, you can take a bus directly to the hotel's terminal stop. Taking a taxi to the scenic area and the high-speed rail station is also very convenient.

An absolutely wonderful stay that exceeded all expectations! Our butler, Mark, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The hotel's design is full of ******* elements, and the location is excellent. During the National Day holiday, Huamei Shengdi had a lot of activities going on. Just a few minutes' drive up the mountain is Zhongcha Gully, known as the 'back garden of Jiuzhaigou.' It's also only a 20-minute taxi ride to the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The Motuo stone pot chicken at the restaurant was delicious – a real treat for the taste buds after a day of exploring.

This hotel is perfect for travelers who aren't in a hurry to get to the valley. During peak hours, it can take over 30 minutes by taxi to and from the Jiuzhaigou Tourist Center. The hotel and rooms offer stunning views, located in the Huamei Shengdi town. Within walking distance, you'll find basic amenities like convenience stores, restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. It's also easy to get a taxi to Zhongzha Valley. The room facilities are on par with what you'd expect from a five-star resort hotel. Overall, the service was generally mediocre. Two things, however, stood out as excellent: Firstly, a slightly older male staff member during check-in was incredibly enthusiastic. He noticed it was our first stay and gave us a detailed介绍 of child-friendly attractions nearby. Secondly, when our TV broke, two maintenance staff members worked diligently for a long time into the evening, eventually discovering the IP was down and replacing the TV – they worked very hard late at night. Additionally, the shuttle drivers within the hotel were very responsible, always offering rides if they saw us on the road. Other services were rather cold. After discovering the TV was broken, the front desk initially dismissed it as a signal issue. It took a second call before they sent maintenance. There was no butler contact throughout our stay, but oddly enough, we received a call asking for a good review after we checked out. During our stay, there was a celebrity filming, and a staff member actually blocked our way to our room, asking us to make way for the celebrity – it was baffling.

Very satisfied! While we were still on our way, they called to ask when we'd arrive. Once we got there, they gave us a lovely welcome gift full of snacks – that was a nice surprise! We hadn't booked breakfast with our room, but the front desk staff were so kind and brought us breakfast anyway. The breakfast spread was very generous, and I especially loved the rice noodles. When I found the room a bit cold, they immediately sent up a heater. They were very prompt in responding to messages and never showed any impatience. I'm really happy with everything. If I go to Jiuzhaigou again, I'll definitely consider staying at Hilton Garden Inn. Oh, and there was a super cute alpaca, completely black but I thought it was adorable! The hotel is located about 300 meters from the drop-off and pick-up point for the Jiuzhaigou high-speed rail scenic spot direct shuttle bus and the ******* Epic Banquet (Zangwang Yanwu) parking lot, and about 700 meters from the main entrance of the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Walking to the scenic area, taking the shuttle bus, dining, and shopping are all very convenient. The overall room environment is relatively clean and tidy, and we didn't encounter any obvious issues with the sanitary facilities or bedding. However, the water temperature for the shower was poorly controlled; it kept cycling endlessly—cold, lukewarm, hot, lukewarm, cold, lukewarm, and so on—making the shower quite uncomfortable. Front desk service was attentive. Upon check-in, we were given complimentary candy and drinks, with an option to choose the local specialty, seabuckthorn juice. Because the hotel was fully booked and we couldn't switch to our preferred room type, the front desk also thoughtfully provided free breakfast vouchers as compensation. Overall, this hotel is well-suited for travelers whose main goal is just to find a conveniently located, walkable place to sleep near the scenic area.

Facilities: This is an older, established four-star hotel. While it might not have the trendy decor of modern B&Bs, it's fully equipped, clean, and tidy. Cleanliness: Very clean. Service: The hotel staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful. Environment: It's a large hotel that seems to accommodate tour groups, which is still very good. The hotel upgraded me to a king-size bed room when they saw I was alone, and the window offers a mountain view. It's conveniently located just a few hundred meters from the Guoda parking lot, and after leaving the scenic area, there's public transportation that goes directly to the hotel entrance (for 3 yuan). I happened to encounter a mudslide, so the bus was free the next day!

Definitely a five-star review! The room was clean and tidy, and the location was just right for the scenic spots, allowing for a good and quiet rest. Excellent value for money! What's more important is that the front desk lady and all the staff had exceptionally good service attitudes. There's a place to hang laundry, breakfast was very rich, and they offer free shuttle service to and from the scenic area. First of all, a big thank you to Xiao Yang, Xiao Yin, Fang Fang, and Yanzi for their warm hospitality, including a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast for one child. The service and after-sales support were excellent. Secondly, I'd like to comment on the hotel itself, just based on my experience. Getting up the mountain takes about 40 minutes, and the facilities aren't as comprehensive as one might expect. We specifically booked this hotel with the intention of just staying there and not visiting Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. However, once we arrived, we found very few activities available. There was almost nothing for kids, and adults could only walk around the grounds (which aren't very large). Moreover, getting to Jiuzhaigou itself takes about an hour and a half by car from the hotel. The price isn't cheap, but apart from the service, the value for money wasn't there. The main issue is how far up the mountain it is. If there were more activities, it might have been okay. But after driving over six hours just to stay at this hotel, I left feeling a bit disappointed.

An amazing hotel close to the entrance of the scenic area. It is clean, hygienic, and offers excellent service. So glad we chose this forest hotel; it really added a unique touch to our trip. It's located deep inside Zhongzhagou Valley, which is already stunning. If you're not in a rush to get to Jiuzhaigou, you could easily spend a few extra days here. There's even a hiking trail behind the hotel if you're into that. We were incredibly lucky and spotted wild rabbits on the lawn in the afternoon, evening, and early morning! The hotel also offers dining, and there are ******* restaurants in the village. However, you'll find more options down the mountain, which is only about a fifteen-minute drive away. Our stay at New Jiuzhai Hotel was definitely an unexpected highlight of our Jiuzhaigou trip. We arrived past 10 PM, and the security guard on duty, who happened to be from Gansu, was incredibly helpful in guiding us to a parking spot. As it was a busy May Day holiday, the front desk staff, seeing we had children, advised us not to head out too early. They explained that if we did, the kids wouldn't get enough rest, and we'd hit the morning rush hour at the scenic area. They let us park our car at the hotel and arranged a ride to the park entrance, which was both thoughtful and stress-free. The next day, with a shortage of hotel drivers, the housekeeping manager, Manager Yang, personally drove us. On the way, she meticulously explained important tips for our visit, which was both professional and heartwarming. From security to the front desk and management, every staff member provided genuine and attentive service. There was no forced politeness; their authentic enthusiasm made us feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. The entire experience was warm and pleasant, a true testament to excellent corporate culture – something those 'influencer' hotels simply can't compare to.

In the morning, the hotel provides a shuttle service to the visitor center. When returning to the hotel after exploring the scenic area, traffic on the main road was severe, making it hard to find a taxi. Even if you did, you'd be stuck in traffic. First off, the location is halfway between the high-speed train station and the Jiuzhaigou scenic area. Public transportation isn't the best option, so I'd recommend driving yourself or going with a tour group. Secondly, I booked a mountain view room, but the window glass facing the mountains really detracted from the view. For over 700 a night, which isn't cheap, you'd expect cleaner windows. I won't post photos, but other reviews mention the same issue. Then, the welcome fruit I was supposed to get for my points wasn't delivered, and the shuttle bus taking guests to the scenic area in the morning didn't even help with luggage. Finally, a big shout-out to the customer service小姐姐 (I forgot her name, but she looks a lot like Tong Yao). She was worried we'd miss our stop and came to pick us up early. She was also very prompt in addressing any issues we had. Thanks to her, I'm not leaving a negative review. Enough said.

Although a bit pricey, it's totally worth it! Since we were traveling with elderly family and young children, I had a lot of concerns. The staff were all incredibly patient in answering my questions and constantly kept an eye on our itinerary, advising us on directions and when to return to the guesthouse. It gave me a complete sense of security. The room was very clean and comfortable; you could literally walk barefoot freely. When we first entered the room and saw there were no TVs, projectors, or other electronics, the kids started complaining about how they'd pass the long night. But then they arranged a stargazing activity for us, and it was the first time in my life I'd seen the Milky Way with the naked eye – it was absolutely beautiful... the most unforgettable part of our trip. The kids have already decided they want to come back next autumn, to play with Xiao Bao again and go stargazing.

After a tiring day exploring Jiuzhaigou, choosing this hotel in the county town was perfect for a much-needed rest. It offers free parking, which is very convenient for those driving. The room was clean and tidy, and it was very quiet at night, allowing for a full recovery from a day of sightseeing. There are many restaurants nearby, making it easy to find food and even get a massage. The lower altitude of the county town also made for more comfortable sleep. It’s a great stop for self-drivers to recuperate, and overall, it offers good value for money. Highly recommended!

Out of all the places we stayed during our seven-day trip, this B&B was by far the best and the one we were most reluctant to leave. I genuinely recommend it! The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how incredibly clean the room was. I hadn't expected many smart devices, but the amenities were much more comprehensive than I imagined. I have to specifically praise the TV and the hairdryer! The TV came with all VIP channels, and after a long day of exploring, it was super comfortable to just relax and binge-watch shows. And for anyone who understands, the hairdryer had amazing power! After a long, sweaty day of travel, it dried my hair quickly – a really thoughtful touch. The infrastructure here was absolutely faultless. Some room types even had private hot springs, and the B&B also had a public bath that was meticulously cleaned daily and sprinkled with fresh rose petals. Soaking together as a couple was excellent value for money. Plus, there was a shared laundry room, which is a real must-have for long-term travelers like us. What surprised me most was how delicious the food at the B&B was! I'd only planned to grab a quick bite, but the oyster beef hotpot and skewers absolutely blew me away. No exaggeration, it was the best meal I'd had in the three days since we started our trip, and it felt a bit cheaper than most beef hotpot places outside. Sometimes after a long day, you're too tired to go out for dinner, so it's great to have hot meals available right there. (If you prefer delivery, the location is very convenient for that too, with Starbucks, KFC, and even local specialty coffee shops nearby.) Once the food arrived, the front desk would help bring it to our room, which saved a lot of hassle. What truly touched me was how incredibly warm and thoughtful everyone working there was. Initially, we forgot to book a transfer in advance and were prepared for the inconvenience of taking a bus. Thankfully, the staff proactively helped us contact a driver who picked us up directly and brought us to the B&B. And then, for all our trips to and from Jiuzhaigou, the owner and staff provided free private car transfers, saving us so much trouble with transportation. I'm truly grateful! I'm not usually comfortable in less urbanized areas and was initially worried the accommodation experience might be lacking. But this B&B exceeded all my expectations, from the facilities and dining to the service, it truly elevated the entire trip's enjoyment. I'll definitely bring my parents here next time.

I brought my mom to Jiuzhaigou, and we booked a twin room. My mom's main requests for accommodation are quietness and convenience, and this place fit the bill perfectly. After a day out, we really enjoyed relaxing in the second-floor lounge area, sipping tea and looking at the mountains outside. It was a great way to unwind after a long day of walking. The hotel is quite large, and the lobby is spacious, so it made a good first impression when we walked in. Parking was also convenient; we rented a car, so it was nice not having to search for a spot. The room was comfortable and practical, and we had a good night's rest. I was also quite satisfied with the service; the front desk was always responsive when we had questions. It's really suitable for families visiting Jiuzhaigou for a vacation.

The air conditioning cools quickly and maintains a comfortable temperature. You can really see the thoughtfulness in the little details, and they even offer a shuttle service to the scenic spots. 5-star rating!

The location of the hotel is very good. There is a shopping district just outside the door. The barbecue opposite is really good. Thanks to the hotel front desk girl for the recommendation. I will choose your hotel next time. You also gave me a souvenir when I checked out. Thank you very much

The room was clean and tidy, beautifully decorated, and the bedding was very comfortable to sleep on. It was very quiet at night, so I slept extremely well. The soundproofing was also excellent; I couldn't hear a thing. We arrived quite late, but we rested wonderfully both nights. 👍 There were also welcome fruits and drinks 🥤, and the breakfast 🍳 was delicious, with a wide variety and great taste. You can really tell they put a lot of thought into it! Staying here is so much more comfortable than staying in an Airbnb!

Pros: The hotel's service was excellent, and they even provided a fruit platter in the room. I requested a quiet room when booking, and they delivered – my room wasn't facing the street and was very peaceful! The shower had plenty of hot water, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The hotel is also quite close to the scenic area entrance, within walking distance. Cons: The hotel's decor and facilities do look a bit dated, but it's acceptable. The breakfast selection was limited, and the taste was just so-so.

The hotel is clean and the environment is beautiful. The service attitude is very good. Self-driving tour is particularly easy to find according to the navigation location. Parking is very convenient. Staying feels that the decoration style is very ok. There are also local special yak beef soup pots around. We went to the scenic spot on the second day. We originally planned to drive to the scenic spot by ourselves. Then the boss said that the parking fee near the scenic spot was more expensive. He said that this time was not very busy. He asked us to park the car in his parking lot and send us to the scenic spot. Fortunately, we booked this hotel, which made us happy and worry-free. Friends stayed at this hotel. Fortunately, we also saw the long-lost star root moon last night. ✌️✌️✌️ is worth recommending, this price is very worth it. Friends rest assured to rush rush rush! ...

The hotel is right in the center of Pengfeng Village, very easy to find. The service is meticulous, the room is very clean, and the mattress is super comfortable. The breakfast is also clean, hygienic, and delicious. You can take a taxi or walk to the scenic spots, which offers good flexibility. The recommended restaurants are popular, affordable, and tasty – you won't regret ordering! We were on the first floor, and opening the window revealed beautiful flowers, which put us in a great mood.

On our way to Jiuzhaigou entrance, we discovered this wellness-themed guesthouse. After parking our car, staff and a butler greeted us and guided us to the lobby for check-in. Once checked in, they escorted us to our room. Another staff member waited at the entrance to present us with a Hada (a traditional ******* scarf), which truly enhanced the experience. There was even a pulse diagnosis master who, after checking our pulse, advised us on how to improve our health. They also offered physiotherapy treatments; after a session, I felt completely relaxed, and the technique was very professional. All three daily meals were well-prepared, and they even offered medicated meals where the chef would incorporate specific herbs based on your pulse diagnosis. In the evening, there's a foot-soaking service, with staff bringing the basin directly to your room. The service here is absolutely excellent, and the environment is quiet and comfortable, far from the city's hustle and bustle. It's wonderful to be able to recuperate while on vacation, combining leisure and wellness. The starry sky at night was also incredibly beautiful. Next time we visit Jiuzhaigou, we'll definitely choose this guesthouse again.

Zhongchagou Jiuzhaigou|40.12km from downtown
I stayed at Rissai Valley for exactly 24 hours, and just as online reviews said, the scenery isn't the best. It certainly doesn't have the endless, rolling hills of colorful trees like Naizigou, nor the vastness of the Qiangtang uninhabited zone, and it's even less secluded than its sister property, Niseko Hinode Hills. However, the human touch at this hotel is truly among the best I've experienced. From the moment we walked into the lobby, and our butler Sarah escorted us back to the villa for check-in, she mentioned they grow their own vegetables nearby – mulberries, lettuce, mint, and other seasonal greens. Right then, I knew coming here was the right decision. Good hotel service isn't just about pure luxury; it should permeate into the smallest details of a guest's life. When we went to the banquet hall for bead stringing, it was no problem to string a few extra beads. Most importantly, three spa staff members, Silvia, Sofia, and Sinara, bent down and spent a long time helping my friend and me pick out pink beads from a pile of white ones. In the evening, during plant rubbing, we met the incredibly congenial Caroline and the very talented photographer Susan (who took some amazing photos of my friend). Caroline gave my friend and me two mysterious gifts, which made us incredibly happy. We were the only two left lingering at the rubbing station, and they stood there chatting with us. When they took us back to the villa, they somehow produced a bottle of pear soup, saying it was cold and we should drink it to warm up. This completely elevated our overall stay experience. My friend specifically wants to commend Salvia, who took beautiful and patient photos of her copying sutras. There were so many staff members who served us that I can't possibly name them all, but every subtle, thoughtful detail made me feel so comfortable. For example, at breakfast, a plate I moved aside was cleared away by a server within a minute. My salad, noodles, and fried eggs were all prepared to my specifications and brought to me without me having to wait. When I was looking around the salad bar, a staff member introduced me to some of their breakfast greens, which they grow themselves, and eagerly offered to make me something. Although I wasn't planning on eating, I ended up getting a portion, and it was quite delicious. Although the concept of Hinode Hills is to escape and be undisturbed, my personal preference for a hotel experience is still about connecting with others and nature, and receiving genuine service from the hotel staff. It makes me feel truly welcomed by the place. I don't believe formulaic politeness and service constitute the ultimate experience. In Aba, Sichuan, a region known for its warm hospitality, I personally think Rissai Valley balances these two aspects very well. The hotel experience itself isn't just about the scenery; it's about whether the hotel can elevate its human-centric service and guest experience to match its own standards. This has little to do with the hotel brand, but rather with the training received by the on-duty staff and the team's service philosophy. This is a very difficult thing to control, which is why I'm writing this long review. P.S. The hotel's little lambs are incredibly cute and well-behaved! They are absolute darlings, very well cared for, and have lovely temperaments. You can pet and cuddle them freely. Staff members said they even wash them with shampoo. It truly melts your heart!

This hotel is newly opened and the location is excellent. Right across the street there’s a convenience store, and nearby you’ll find a row of shops with plenty of dining options. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, with a modern and stylish design. My favorite part was the bathroom — it’s spacious and the water pressure is strong, which made the stay even more comfortable. The hotel also provides shuttle bus services, which is very convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Highly recommended!

When I booked the room, they promised a shuttle to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, but when I checked in, they said the traffic police wouldn't allow it, citing traffic jams and so on. As a result, we had to walk for nearly half an hour. The bed was quite narrow, and the mattress creaked every time I turned over. For the complimentary breakfast, if you get two portions, you only get two portions. If more than two people stay in a room, you have to pay extra for breakfast, which is 30 yuan per person, or 20 yuan even with a discount. Previously, whenever breakfast was included, they would provide it for as many people as were staying. The breakfast was mainly vegetarian, but there was a decent variety. After all my travels, this was quite an unpleasant stay.

If you are on budget, this might be for you. However I stay in one of the BnB 4km away at Singapore dollar 23, which is cheaper but need to arrange for pick up. Room: Aged, pillow is low, hardly pop up my head Toilet: Clean and modern, the only consolidation No bottled water, need to buy. Hallway: Dark, the lighting is spoiled during my visit. Location: Walking distance from the 九寨沟JiuZhai National Par, 1+ km away. Amenities: Right across the shopping street which has all you want to buy or eat.

I had a very satisfying stay. I booked a family room and a twin room, and the hotel upgraded the family room for free, which made it very comfortable for my elderly family members. Even though it's a 'Light' brand, the quality is still excellent, and the value for money is outstanding. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the high-speed train and bus station. You can see it as soon as you get off the bus. The next morning, taxis were available right outside the hotel, and for just 15, they took us directly to the scenic spot entrance, which was very convenient. Alternatively, it's only about a ten-minute walk. Moreover, there are supermarkets and dining options right next to the hotel, all very convenient. Behind the hotel, there's also a pedestrian street along the river with many shops. It's very quiet, perfect for dining and strolling, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel's cleanliness was truly exceptional; every corner, from the lobby to our room, was immaculate. A special commendation goes to the incredibly thoughtful welcome fruit – the platter featured freshly cut, chilled watermelon with luscious red flesh, perfectly sweet and juicy; plump cherry tomatoes, each glistening with a fresh, dewy shine; and uniformly cut cantaloupe, exuding a delightful, sweet fragrance. Each fruit portion was individually cling-wrapped, thoughtfully labeled 'sanitized,' and accompanied by a fruit fork. The meticulous attention to detail truly showcased their commitment to quality – even the watermelon seeds were carefully removed! The room was thoroughly sanitized, the bedding pristine white and fluffy, and even the grout lines in the bathroom tiles sparkled. This unwavering commitment to hygiene and service is truly heartwarming! I will absolutely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who appreciates true quality.

The hotel's location is close to the entrance of the valley, but remember to leave early on holidays, as there can still be traffic. The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The mattress was just right, not too soft or too hard, so I slept very soundly at night. The staff's service attitude was excellent, warm and polite, and they paid great attention to detail!
