Was looking forward to our stay with the rebranding of Belmont to international chain Mercure.
GOOD:
1. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Diane at the check-in counter was helpful.
2. 6-7 minutes walking access to the private beach and outdoor pool shared with Savoy Hotel.
3. There are many good restaurants within walking distance.
4. It also has an indoor pool, gym, and spa.
COULD BE IMPROVED:
1. For a 4-star hotel, Pulo's breakfast was average with nothing special or memorable.
The food selection for the buffet is plentiful but not premium.
The service of the attendants is lacking. Once seated, no one approached us to offer water or coffee during breakfast.
Spread is a decent size so you'll find something to fill you up.
2. There is sewer smell in the lobby of our floor and inside the elevator at times. One staff admitted that the building has plumbing issues in the basement.
3. Elevator security system is faulty. Would not accept my keycard so could not go to our floor. Had to approach the reception desk THREE times to have my keycard checked. Eventually a staff had to accompany me to the elevator to tap my floor.
Our stay at Bohol Beach Club was an absolute dream, a perfect blend of swaying palm trees and pristine white sands! We stayed in a beachfront villa suite, and from our terrace, we had an uninterrupted view of the towering coconut trees, standing like elegant sentinels stretching endlessly along the coastline. They not only formed a stunning tropical tableau but also provided refreshing shade from the scorching sun. Lying in a hammock or on a beach chair, listening to the rustle of the coconut leaves in the sea breeze, was the unique, soothing soundtrack of this place. The fine, soft white sand was a delight to walk on barefoot, transitioning from warm to cool with every step. The beach gently sloped into the clear, emerald-green waters, creating a natural shallow area that was safe and perfect for children to play and for beginners to snorkel. If you're looking for that classic, quintessential island paradise – swaying palms, immaculate white sand, and crystal-clear water – Bohol Beach Club is the epitome of that postcard-perfect scene. We will definitely return for more memories of this coconut breeze and white sand!

It's a decent hotel, with everything you need inside. You can stay for a long time, as there's a kitchen and everything you need—a water cooler, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning, even dishes and a coffee maker.
However, there are some drawbacks:
- The room was very stuffy and humid, and the grout in the shower wasn't cleaned.
- The washing machine didn't work, and I only stayed for one night, just so I could do some laundry.
- The balcony wouldn't open at all, no matter how hard I tried to open the door, and it was on the first floor, right next to people splashing in the pool.
- The shower gel and shampoo aren't individual sets, just two bottles shared by everyone, so who knows what guests might mix into the bottles.
- The renovations are frankly shoddy, with the slats held in place with tape, the paint in the bathroom peeling in places due to the humidity, and the walls are crooked. The bathroom has a small ventilation duct (without an exhaust fan) that opens into the hallway, through which you can hear every footstep and conversation, as well as everything going on in the bathroom.
- The air conditioner is aimed directly at the bed, which is uncomfortable and can cause a cold, and turning it on is not an option as it's very hot and stuffy.
- The room has a terribly strong-smelling air freshener that gives you a headache.
- The refrigerator rattles like someone's hammering something; it's impossible to sleep with that noise.
Overall, it's a good option for a 2-3 night stay. It's conveniently located near the airport; a taxi ride costs 160 pesos.
It’s was breathtaking room access pool view our room is,I just loved 😍the view ☺️especially at night swimming, though not much restaurant nearby you just need atleast 5mins from hotel to Alona beach.
It was amazing and unforgettable memories to this hotel.
All staff and crew have good customer service. The resort also offers free transfers to and from any point in Alona. They also offer airport transfer for only ₱100.00. Wifi connection is strong and breakfast menu is great! Most of the guests are foreigners. If your departure flight is hours away from the scheduled check out, you may leave your luggage at the front desk for free. had a very relaxing stay here and the resort is highly recommended😊✨

I have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations.
We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly.
The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor.
The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant.
The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day.
Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed.
Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience.

The resort has a lot to offer — it has a condominium, beach, swimming pools, event space, restaurants and a bar. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The pools and the beach side are well-maintained. They also offer a free bike and kayak ride whenever you stay at the resort. They also serve complimentary drinks once you arrive.

Booked a deluxe twin room for my two-day, one-night free and easy trip to Cebu. It was great value for money. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot despite being in a busy area. The breakfast buffet was good, and there's a huge mall next door with a food court and a big supermarket. I even found some local Cebu specialties like dark chocolate-covered dried mangoes, which were more than half the price compared to Manila airport. However, the city center of Cebu isn't the best environment, though it felt safe enough.
Conveniently located close enough to Alona beach to easily access all the restaurants, beaches, shops etc by scooter or tuktuk but also far away enough to not constantly be bothered by loud motors, tons of roosters and all that other noise.
Rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with safe, fridge, hair dryer and plenty of racks and hooks to hang and dry your clothes. There's also an outdoor gym area and the pool is big and good for swimming. Plus the wifi is very stable and great for working remotely.
Service is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is good too.
Can recommend the hotel
Huge thanks to the entire hotel team for the warm welcome! The hotel is new and spotless, it was a pleasure to spend my vacation here. The room even had nice little touches like a scale and a speaker for connecting your own music. Everything was well thought out, and the rooms are very spacious. The pool is divided into four zones, which is super convenient – guests don't get in each other's way by all being in one spot. We'll definitely recommend this hotel to our friends when they visit Panglao.

AAnonymous UserBreakfast was unfortunately not very good. Few options of western breakfast - at least some bread but no sausage or cheese. The staff is great tho.
The elevator times are always very long - from the ground and on your room level.
Otherwise the hotel is totally fine - enough space - and the pool is good as well.
Next to the hotel is a 7/11, so a snack is never far away ;)
GGuest UserWe had a good stay.. My kids enjoyed the pool and the slide inside the building.... The breakfast buffet is what i like the most... With lots of food to choose to..... Highly recommended...
