Breakfast: The variety and quality were good, including oat milk. However, the restaurant tables, perhaps for business meetings, were grouped together into many large rectangular tables, which we two didn't really like. The limited number of small tables were all occupied, and there were very few of those.
Front Desk: The service was excellent, and they were very helpful with luggage storage.
Room: The upgrade was a bit awkward, as shown in the pictures.
Location: Quite convenient. About a 15-minute walk from the train station, and about the same distance from attractions.
Overall, a good stay.

I remember visiting Neuschwanstein Castle when I first came to Germany in 2006, but what attracted me deeply was the tranquil Alpine Lake at the foot of the mountain. In the following two years, I came here twice by chance, and each time I took the same route, but I never really enjoyed the slow pace here. So this 18th anniversary trip is my fourth time to Neuschwanstein Castle, and I deliberately chose to stay by the Alpine Lake at the foot of Neuschwanstein Castle! Even if it's raining today, enduring the traffic jam on the German highway, and driving 370 kilometers for four and a half hours, I must come!
As expected, the hotel is in an excellent location, the room is not only spacious, but also the view is amazing: looking up at the dormer window, the Old Swan Castle on the left and the New Swan Castle on the right; turning around and looking at the big window on the other side, the Alpine Lake is outside... This is simply a fairyland scenery! I was just feeling proud when I suddenly realized that no matter how I inserted the room card, there was no electricity in the room. I immediately called the front desk to report the problem. The electrician who came to help me fix it was actually the uncle who did my valet parking. After taking apart all the panels in my closet for a long time, he discovered that there was a distribution box inside. After fiddling with it for a while, he finally fixed it. Then he discovered that there were no slippers, bathrobes, or water in the room, so he hurried back to restock them. Before he finished his work here, he looked up and saw a huge live spider on the ceiling... Fortunately, the uncle was very quick and quick and fixed everything quickly. I couldn't help but whisper to him: It feels like you are the only employee in your hotel, and you are working so hard! He also shook his head helplessly and said: It is indeed a National Day and we are short of staff... I am really curious about how the overtime pay is calculated for working overtime on the National Day, hahahahaha
Staying at this hotel while visiting Neuschwanstein Castle in Füssen was a great choice. The hotel is well-equipped, and the rooms are spacious, basically having everything you need except for disposable toiletries. The breakfast selection was extensive. The staff, especially the front desk receptionists, were incredibly warm and welcoming. Even though we drove, the hotel provided free public transport tickets and proactively offered a map. My only minor complaint is that the hotel's promotional image uses a picture resembling Neuschwanstein Castle's exterior, which could be misleading, making people think it's the hotel's facade. However, overall, this hotel is an excellent option when coming to Neuschwanstein.
The German hotel acquired by Huazhu Group
The hardware is almost five-star standard, no doubt about it.
The breakfast is also very plentiful and perfect.
Free parking is available nearby.
The only problem is the front desk staff is incompetent.
They desperately need training. I contacted them multiple times beforehand to request five twin beds, but when I arrived they said there were only three, leaving me with nothing. After half an hour of haggling, they said there was a disabled twin bed on the ground floor. Finally, they resolved the issue. Otherwise, I would have given it a zero. Thankfully, the ground floor has a high ceiling, which is a plus.
very good location in Munich downtown and the room is big and clean, just the parking is a bit expensive for a night.
The breakfast with many options and tasty
I truly enjoyed my stay at K+K Hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thanks to Vittoria and Kristen for their patience and help with all my questions. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Munich!
My flight arrived early into Munich, I tried asking if there’s early check in, I’m willing to pay for it because of my long flights, there is this front desk (Marina) absolutely amazing lady, found out that there’s a room available and let me check in early. I had such a good rest before starting my day and not forget to mention that the hotel is so near to train station and there’s a supermarket under it, so so convenient. I still booked the same hotel after returning to Munich from Prague in 1 week time!
Very satisfied with the stay, the hotel is located in the center of the city but very quiet. Because it is newly renovated, the facilities are modern. The breakfast is rich and varied, and the coffee is particularly fragrant.
The location was great! If you are taking public transport, do not get down at the Plarer because its further to walk to the hotel. Instead get down at the Wertachbruke station. From here its only like 50m to the hotel. The room was great! The amenities provided are all in good condition. Staff were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay, wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely comeback.

ZZactotoThis is our favourite hotel in Nuremberg!! Attention to detail on every step of the experience, their crews were simply amazing! They are happy to serve you, not one person but every staff that I encountered. I got a surprise birthday cake in my room with a hand written note, am truly grateful and heartfelt. So thank you, Karl August your neighbourhood hotel. 5 stars and beyond. We will be back again for sure!
MMegbotThe location was great. Easy to access everything in the city. The staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast was really German. In general, would recommend this hotel for anyone.
GGuest UserGreat value for money!
Nice hotel rooms, breakfast with a wide selection and a very nice wellness/sauna area!
The staff is also very friendly.
The only ”drawback”: depending on what is on the agenda for the day, the hotel is a bit far from the city center. (Can be an advantage or disadvantage!)
I would book it again!
GGuest UserWe stayed for 1 night at Park Plaza Nuremburg to have a quick visit of the old town before flying out the next day. The hotel suites our purpose well. It's located just across the road from the train and underground stations and allowed us to explore the old town on foot. Room is clean, modern and well equipped. We had a comfortable stay.
DdyhxFree hotel shuttle provided by Airparks. At Terminal 2, follow the signs that say 'Bus/Hotel Shuttle' and head towards the Bus Terminal, Stop #11. The buses run at xx10 hrs, xx30 hrs and xx50 hrs. It makes a stop at Terminal 1 before heading to the hotels. It actually stops at a big car park building 2 mins walk from the hotel. You'll see the hotel before it turns in and alights passengers at Airpark's holding area. Then it's a short walk across the road to the hotel where you enter from the back of the hotel.
Simple room, good for one, might be a squeeze for 2 persons with big luggages. No wardrobe, just open hanging hooks which is great too. No mini fridge but basic shower amenities are provided except toothbrush/toothpaste. Bed and pillows is a little too soft for my liking.
Quite expensive for a one night stay, especially for me, it was just 10 hrs literally - to shower and sleep.
There's a bus stop a few mins walk from the hotel where you can hop on a direct public bus for €4.10 (cash only, no change given, runs every 15 mins or so) or pay €10 for the Airparks shuttle (runs every 20-30 mins) back to the airport.
Yyuk kei elstan fongThe hotel is right next to the Munich Central station. There is a supermarket store nearby within 1 min walking. The Neni Chicken restaurant provides delicious food at night, and the vibe is excellent. Overall, we are satisfied with the stay!
DDCRYBuilding is located around 400m from Siemenswerke station but the walk is not sheltered so need to take note of rain/snow. Room is spacious and comes with washing machine and cooking wares. Toilet does not have sufficient wet and dry separation so unable to on the showerhead fully without water flowing out to the dry area. I went during the holiday season so the service staff was unable to respond to my query on one of the days of the holiday period. Room price is considered reasonable to me given that I booked during the holiday season and it comes with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
GGuest UserFirst the positive:
The breakfast buffet was rich and appealing with very nice service staff.
There was a super great pizzeria and gelateria, which were on the ground floor of the hotel. We had a great evening there and the pizzas were just perfect and authentically Italian.
The negative side: We booked three rooms. The rooms would actually be modern and nice. But no matter where you look: NOTHING was clean! The sheets/towels were changed, but I had the impression that the cleaning was not done at all or only very superficially. Dirt on the shelf, the ledge, lots of crumbs on the floor, chalky fittings, dirty toilet seat, mold on the rubber seals in the shower, dirty cabinets, doors, door latches. Worst: Dirty and disgusting duvets when you pull back the sheet. Something like that should be washed if it has stains. Disgust factor to the power of 10. I spend 8-10 weeks a year in hotels, but this was an impertinence that I had never seen before.
At night:
Loud bass music blared through the walls and floor until about 2am. Youngsters were in front of the window, which made noise until 5 in the morning. It was way too warm in the room. I am aware that the hotel cannot do anything about the noisy people in front of the room and the heat, but it was just crowning the rest. It was just horrific. We booked this hotel to recover from a long drive and drive more on the next day. Recovery wasn’t possible as we all couldn’t sleep.
I will never book a Dormero hotel again. The term “fancy” they love to use means something completely different in my world.
AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, I’m very disappointed.
Let’s start with the positives: the location is excellent. Right opposite the train and metro station, Lidl & Rewe supermarkets nearby, and just a straight 15‑minute walk into the old town. Super convenient.
But unfortunately, that’s about it. Service was really flat — communication with reception was very standard, nothing warm or welcoming. The room itself was on the small side (clean, yes, but definitely not spacious).
The real disappointment: water policy. The hotel only provides ONE small bottle of water per day per room. That’s for two people. On my first day, I asked reception for an extra bottle — they told me to go to the bar. Fine, I got one there. On the second day, since we skipped housekeeping, there was no water refill, so at night I went to the bar again to ask for another bottle. This time the staff told me I had to pay.
I was completely shocked. A 4‑star hotel charging €200 per night… and they won’t even provide guests with a simple bottle of still water? I’ve stayed in so many hotels across Europe and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. Even more absurd, the hotel leaves free apples at reception and offers unlimited water at breakfast — but refuses to give guests a bottle of water to take to the room? Ridiculous.
This policy really ruined what could have been a good stay. For a “collection” hotel brand, I expected much more in terms of service and hospitality. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel.
MM468715****The hotel sauna environment is great, although it is also very good👍
The restaurant environment is first-class and the breakfast is rich
The town is a famous holiday destination and is very convenient for shopping and dining.
There is a home-brewed beer restaurant near the hotel, and the beer is good👍
