A modern, comfortable, and spotless hotel conveniently located just outside the city. The rooms are quite spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is plentiful and meets 4-star standards. Although it was just a quick one-night stay, I had a very positive impression.

I remember visiting Neuschwanstein Castle when I first came to Germany in 2006, but what attracted me deeply was the tranquil Alpine Lake at the foot of the mountain. In the following two years, I came here twice by chance, and each time I took the same route, but I never really enjoyed the slow pace here. So this 18th anniversary trip is my fourth time to Neuschwanstein Castle, and I deliberately chose to stay by the Alpine Lake at the foot of Neuschwanstein Castle! Even if it's raining today, enduring the traffic jam on the German highway, and driving 370 kilometers for four and a half hours, I must come! As expected, the hotel is in an excellent location, the room is not only spacious, but also the view is amazing: looking up at the dormer window, the Old Swan Castle on the left and the New Swan Castle on the right; turning around and looking at the big window on the other side, the Alpine Lake is outside... This is simply a fairyland scenery! I was just feeling proud when I suddenly realized that no matter how I inserted the room card, there was no electricity in the room. I immediately called the front desk to report the problem. The electrician who came to help me fix it was actually the uncle who did my valet parking. After taking apart all the panels in my closet for a long time, he discovered that there was a distribution box inside. After fiddling with it for a while, he finally fixed it. Then he discovered that there were no slippers, bathrobes, or water in the room, so he hurried back to restock them. Before he finished his work here, he looked up and saw a huge live spider on the ceiling... Fortunately, the uncle was very quick and quick and fixed everything quickly. I couldn't help but whisper to him: It feels like you are the only employee in your hotel, and you are working so hard! He also shook his head helplessly and said: It is indeed a National Day and we are short of staff... I am really curious about how the overtime pay is calculated for working overtime on the National Day, hahahahaha

Staying at this hotel while visiting Neuschwanstein Castle in Füssen was a great choice. The hotel is well-equipped, and the rooms are spacious, basically having everything you need except for disposable toiletries. The breakfast selection was extensive. The staff, especially the front desk receptionists, were incredibly warm and welcoming. Even though we drove, the hotel provided free public transport tickets and proactively offered a map. My only minor complaint is that the hotel's promotional image uses a picture resembling Neuschwanstein Castle's exterior, which could be misleading, making people think it's the hotel's facade. However, overall, this hotel is an excellent option when coming to Neuschwanstein.

The room was large and very clean. For this price, it's excellent to stay in a hotel like this in Europe. The breakfast was also very good. The only downside, in my opinion, was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. 😛

The hotel's overall hardware facilities are quite good. It's an apartment-style hotel, perfect for cooking your own meals, and each floor has different themed activity areas. I happened to check in during Oktoberfest, and they offered a complimentary beer, which I didn't drink because I was in a hurry to meet friends for dinner. BUT! And remember this BUT! 1. I think it's a ridiculous clause that they charge you a week in advance and then you can't cancel. Why can't I cancel a week beforehand? It's just incomprehensible. 2. Room 430 needs some serious repairs. First, the exhaust fan above the kitchen kept making a constant noise. Then, the door itself started making a wind-like sound. I went to the front desk every day to report it. On the first night, they told me to take out the key card and it would stop. And yes, it stopped, but am I supposed to not turn on the lights? Not charge my devices? On the second day, a technician came and fixed the kitchen exhaust fan; it stopped making noise when the kitchen light was off. However, the room door continued to make that wind-like noise intermittently. And the kitchen fridge sounded like a tractor – so noisy! I'm someone who absolutely hates noise, and hotels in Europe are generally quite quiet. This is truly the first time I've encountered a hotel room where everything makes a noise. Of course, I want to commend Trip.com here. After I complained, they negotiated with the hotel, and the hotel offered a complimentary day's breakfast (the breakfast was just okay, but a plus was the Munich white sausage). Trip.com also handled my request very professionally. However, this hotel is truly a mixed bag. I stayed for 7 days, and on the second to last day, the fire alarm went off. It was already very cold in Munich at that time, and we had to wait outside for about half an hour before we could go back in. They really need to check their equipment! On the plus side, there's a REWE supermarket and a ROSSMANN downstairs, and the S5 and U5 lines are right next door, which is quite convenient.

Very satisfied with the stay, the hotel is located in the center of the city but very quiet. Because it is newly renovated, the facilities are modern. The breakfast is rich and varied, and the coffee is particularly fragrant.

The location was great! If you are taking public transport, do not get down at the Plarer because its further to walk to the hotel. Instead get down at the Wertachbruke station. From here its only like 50m to the hotel. The room was great! The amenities provided are all in good condition. Staff were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay, wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely comeback.

ZZactotoThis is our favourite hotel in Nuremberg!! Attention to detail on every step of the experience, their crews were simply amazing! They are happy to serve you, not one person but every staff that I encountered. I got a surprise birthday cake in my room with a hand written note, am truly grateful and heartfelt. So thank you, Karl August your neighbourhood hotel. 5 stars and beyond. We will be back again for sure!

Jj_cdUpon arriving at the hotel in the morning, we dropped off our luggage and went out. We returned at the scheduled check-in time of 2 PM, only to find our room in complete disarray and not yet cleaned. After showing photos to the front desk, they immediately arranged for housekeeping. We had to wait for about an hour for the room to be ready. However, Tsira Patsuria at the front desk handled the situation exceptionally well. She offered us tea and pastries while we waited and apologized, explaining that it was Oktoberfest and there was a high volume of guests checking in. She also kindly waived the charges for the draft beer and the snacks in our room. The hotel is very close to the main train station, making it convenient for getting around. The suite was spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of cheese and salmon, just what I like. I would definitely consider staying here again.

GGuest UserThis is a premium hotel at an affordable price and we had a great stay at the Park Plaza Nuremberg. The rooms are modern, large, comfy and bright. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We had a quick check in and there is some infused water and fruit near the front desk you can enjoy during your stay. They also helped guide us to the parking across the street at the Hauptbahnhof parkade which has designated parking spaces if you keep to the right once you enter on the first level. All we needed to do was to trade our parking pass for one of hotels and it cost 17 euros a day with unlimited in/out privileges and we could stay as late if needed the next day. The rooms are nicely appointed with some modern decor, good lighting, a couple of comfy chairs, a desk, large TV, coffee/tea station, mini fridge and a bluetooth speaker. The bed was very comfy and we got a very good night's rest here. There was an Albrecht Durer book in our room as well as some Albrecht Durer inspired art in the hotel. They provided a complimentary mineral water in the room which we chilled and enjoyed after a big day of walking throughout Nuremburg. The bathroom is large with a nice big shower and good jasmine/bergamot bath products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. There is plenty of counter space, a towel warming rack and a thick door which made for a nice experience. The bathroom was pretty clean but there were some dust bunnies under the sink and one of the cups did not look clean. The shower offered great pressure with a rain shower head and a handheld. Hot water was very easy to get and plentiful. The location of this hotel is ideal if you plan on exploring the city by foot. It is within a 15 minute walk to most of Nuremburg's best attractions and is right across the street from the central station and where the Handwerkerhof Nuremberg (crafts market) and Frauentor. In addition to the central station and it's Ubahn offerings there is also a large bus terminal and plenty of trams right in front of the hotel too. There are plenty of good restaurants in the old town area nearby too and some fast service restaurants in the central station. There is an underpass to get into the central station which makes the hotel easy to get to.

DdyhxFree hotel shuttle provided by Airparks. At Terminal 2, follow the signs that say 'Bus/Hotel Shuttle' and head towards the Bus Terminal, Stop #11. The buses run at xx10 hrs, xx30 hrs and xx50 hrs. It makes a stop at Terminal 1 before heading to the hotels. It actually stops at a big car park building 2 mins walk from the hotel. You'll see the hotel before it turns in and alights passengers at Airpark's holding area. Then it's a short walk across the road to the hotel where you enter from the back of the hotel. Simple room, good for one, might be a squeeze for 2 persons with big luggages. No wardrobe, just open hanging hooks which is great too. No mini fridge but basic shower amenities are provided except toothbrush/toothpaste. Bed and pillows is a little too soft for my liking. Quite expensive for a one night stay, especially for me, it was just 10 hrs literally - to shower and sleep. There's a bus stop a few mins walk from the hotel where you can hop on a direct public bus for €4.10 (cash only, no change given, runs every 15 mins or so) or pay €10 for the Airparks shuttle (runs every 20-30 mins) back to the airport.

AAKADAI stayed here on New Year's Eve. I had heard that the New Year's fireworks in Munich never stopped, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep, but the room was very quiet and airtight, so I was able to sleep peacefully. It's a very unique and interesting hotel, but it was disappointing that the bed was expensive and difficult to use, and that there were no slippers or bathrobes. Other than that, I think it was good.

WWeiqiang Jeromelovely space in terms of functionality and design! location was great too, being easily connected to the metro station. one thing to note if you drive though - free street parking is really based on luck, and the streets were mostly full during our 5 nights there. prepare to top up €15 per night parking if you don’t want to live with the uncertainty of having a parking space when you are on a holiday. overall, we enjoyed our stay in this cool hotel.

GGuest UserFirst the positive: The breakfast buffet was rich and appealing with very nice service staff. There was a super great pizzeria and gelateria, which were on the ground floor of the hotel. We had a great evening there and the pizzas were just perfect and authentically Italian.
 The negative side:
We booked three rooms. The rooms would actually be modern and nice. But no matter where you look: NOTHING was clean! The sheets/towels were changed, but I had the impression that the cleaning was not done at all or only very superficially. Dirt on the shelf, the ledge, lots of crumbs on the floor, chalky fittings, dirty toilet seat, mold on the rubber seals in the shower, dirty cabinets, doors, door latches. Worst: Dirty and disgusting duvets when you pull back the sheet. Something like that should be washed if it has stains. Disgust factor to the power of 10. I spend 8-10 weeks a year in hotels, but this was an impertinence that I had never seen before. At night: Loud bass music blared through the walls and floor until about 2am. Youngsters were in front of the window, which made noise until 5 in the morning. It was way too warm in the room. I am aware that the hotel cannot do anything about the noisy people in front of the room and the heat, but it was just crowning the rest. It was just horrific. We booked this hotel to recover from a long drive and drive more on the next day. Recovery wasn’t possible as we all couldn’t sleep. I will never book a Dormero hotel again. The term “fancy” they love to use means something completely different in my world.

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, I’m very disappointed. Let’s start with the positives: the location is excellent. Right opposite the train and metro station, Lidl & Rewe supermarkets nearby, and just a straight 15‑minute walk into the old town. Super convenient. But unfortunately, that’s about it. Service was really flat — communication with reception was very standard, nothing warm or welcoming. The room itself was on the small side (clean, yes, but definitely not spacious). The real disappointment: water policy. The hotel only provides ONE small bottle of water per day per room. That’s for two people. On my first day, I asked reception for an extra bottle — they told me to go to the bar. Fine, I got one there. On the second day, since we skipped housekeeping, there was no water refill, so at night I went to the bar again to ask for another bottle. This time the staff told me I had to pay. I was completely shocked. A 4‑star hotel charging €200 per night… and they won’t even provide guests with a simple bottle of still water? I’ve stayed in so many hotels across Europe and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. Even more absurd, the hotel leaves free apples at reception and offers unlimited water at breakfast — but refuses to give guests a bottle of water to take to the room? Ridiculous. This policy really ruined what could have been a good stay. For a “collection” hotel brand, I expected much more in terms of service and hospitality. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThis is a decent 4-star hotel located in Garmisch. It was 7 min walk from train station. There was a kebab shop and an icecream restaurant right next to and across it. Dm drug store, supermarkets and more restaurants are within minutes of walking distance. Breakfast was buffet-style. There were a couple of staffs at breakfast and they were amazing. They would ask what kind of coffee and eggs you like for the day, and their service was quick and polite. Choices of food was more than sufficient, with croissants and rolls, toaster available, smoked salmon, a wide variety of spreads, ham, cheese, fruit juices, vegetables, cereals, milk/skimmed milk/soy milk/oat milk, more than 10 types of tea……. 4-5 pm is tea-time. The sitting room was elegant and spacious, which makes you feel calm and at home, with some background soothing music. You can read the papers or choose a book from the shelf there. There was also a small pool, steam and sauna, which were all delightful and relaxing, esp if it was raining and cold on some days. My room has a balcony which faces the mountains. It was spectacular and stunning to enjoy this view at dawn and dusk. Staffs were friendly and helpful. There was one gentleman, in shirt and tie every day ( who happened to have injured his leg and wore an orthosis and crutches to work) displayed exceptional kindness and passion in his job. He offered help and a lot suggestions spontaneously whenever I asked questions and told me “it is why I am here!”
