LANOU INTERNATIONAL Hotel (Lhasa Gongga Airport)

**Review of Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel** My stay at the Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel was quite pleasant and convenient, particularly for a traveler looking for comfort near the airport. The hotel's prime location, just a short distance from the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, makes it an excellent choice for those with early flights or needing a quick stopover. The hotel itself is modern and well-kept, with a clean and stylish design. My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring contemporary furnishings and all the necessary amenities for a restful stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the room's soundproofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep despite the proximity to the airport. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay, although there were occasional language barriers. Nonetheless, they were always willing to assist and made an effort to accommodate my requests. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. One area where the hotel could improve is its dining options. While the breakfast buffet offered a decent variety of dishes, I found that the food could benefit from more freshness and variety, especially for those staying multiple nights. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was somewhat inconsistent, which might be a concern for business travelers needing reliable internet access. Overall, Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel is a solid option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay close to the airport. While there are minor areas for improvement, the hotel's convenience, cleanliness, and friendly service make it a good choice for short stays or layovers. **Rating:** 4/5

This is my second stay at the Phuntshok Hotel. I stayed here once at the end of 2024 and had a really good impression, which is why I booked it again. However, this time the experience was far worse. 1. The towels and bath towels in the room haven't been updated in a long time; they felt dirty, which was quite unacceptable. 2. The breakfast restaurant has a nice view, but the food was terrible and completely didn't match the room's quality. 3. There was no parking available for cars, so we had to park at the mall across the street. Dragging luggage 200-300 meters was very inconvenient, and we had to pay for parking ourselves.

I was a bit worried about picking a bad hotel, but it turns out I had nothing to fear. The room was spacious enough and had great natural light. The bathroom was odor-free, and they provided a full set of toiletries. The price was also very reasonable, making it a great value for money when traveling. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and patient, and very efficient! I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

Choosing the Spring and Autumn Oxygen Hotel for my Lhasa trip was definitely the right decision; the overall experience completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent central location, just a 10-minute walk from Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. This means no long commutes for sightseeing and pilgrimages. The surrounding area is packed with ******* restaurants and outdoor shops, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel's overall atmosphere is tranquil and elegant, offering a peaceful escape amidst the city's hustle and bustle. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, featuring wooden floors and minimalist ******* soft furnishings that create a warm and relaxing ambiance. The amenities are comprehensive: all rooms have 24-hour diffused oxygen supply and humidifiers with adjustable oxygen flow. They even thoughtfully provide nasal cannulas and oximeters, perfectly addressing the challenges of high-altitude hypoxia and dryness. The bathroom is designed with a wet/dry separation, offering stable hot water all day. Tea sets, charging facilities, and high-quality toiletries are also fully equipped, showing great attention to detail. Cleanliness is absolutely impeccable. Guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are meticulously cleaned at regular intervals daily. The bedding is soft and odor-free, and there's no dust or stains on surfaces or corners; the bathroom is dry and spotless. From its prime location and comfortable living environment to its complete amenities and strict cleaning protocols, every aspect provides peace of mind. It's perfectly suitable for both solo travelers and those traveling with companions. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lhasa.

Thangka Hotel

This was my third stay at Thangka, and it has noticeably declined compared to my stays in 2018 and 2023. The main reason I chose it again was its proximity to Jokhang Temple. However, this time I experienced significant and continuous noise at night. The next morning, during breakfast, I realized the noise was coming from a machine in the 4th-floor restaurant or the self-service laundry area. I promptly checked out the next day and informed the front desk. The front desk attendant was very kind and assured me that she would report it immediately. I hope Thangka improves.

An old hotel with friendly service. The facilities are a little old, but it is clean and tidy. The price is not high. I stayed for three consecutive days and it is very cost-effective!

My stay at the InterContinental Darchen Hotel was truly excellent! The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The hotel thoughtfully provided an oxygen concentrator and massage chair, which was so helpful for us trekking around Mount Kailash. After acclimatizing to altitude sickness and hiking, the massage chair was a great way to relax and relieve the aches and pains. The hotel's support was excellent. The smart toilet seat had a fresh, disposable seat cover every day. The breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. The room was equipped with a smart home system, and the voice control for switches and curtains was incredibly convenient. Although there was a minor issue during my stay, the hotel handled it very promptly and the service was excellent; it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Overall, my stay was extremely pleasant. This is definitely the top choice for accommodation when trekking around Mount Kailash in Darchen. Highly recommended!

The room facilities were quite good, but the service attitude was very poor, which significantly lowered the overall experience. Pros: The room facilities were relatively new, with a desk and office chair, a small sofa, and convenient amenities like a microwave. Aside from a tear in the carpet, the cleanliness was acceptable. The breakfast offered a good variety, though it was quite crowded. Cons: While one can't expect too much service at this price point and positioning, it's arguably the worst service in its class! Even budget-friendly chains like HUAZHU (Huazhu Group) feel lightyears ahead. Several points of dissatisfaction: Upon check-in, there was a queue, and three people behind the counter seemed to be struggling with something. I waited behind them for a while, and no one acknowledged a new guest had arrived or came over to help. After a long time, I saw someone move to the side, so I approached. Still, no one asked if I was checking in. I walked over and asked if the previous guest was finished, and only then, after being given a look that said 'What are you doing here?', did they start processing my check-in. After taking my ID, they immediately moved to a separate counter (a clearly distinct spot) without telling me to move there. I had to awkwardly move myself. They only provided basic breakfast times for my check-in information and didn't mention anything about the complimentary drinks included in my reservation, which I didn't need anyway so I didn't ask later. The window of my room faced a fence with cigarette butts and other trash scattered below. It was arguably worse than the interior of the room, but it was a basic room type, and a view wasn't a selling point, so I didn't pay too much attention. During check-out, after returning the room card, it took a moment to confirm. No one said 'please wait' or anything, so I just awkwardly stood there. As I left, I said 'thank you,' and was ignored without even a glance. It's clear that the staff here has almost no service awareness. Perhaps this hotel is very confident in its hardware and brand power and isn't too concerned about customer feelings and feedback. However, as a traveler, especially as the last hotel on a self-driving trip along the Sichuan-Tibet highway, it was very disappointing. Almost every other hotel on this trip, expensive or cheap, despite some flaws, had a far better service attitude than this one.

I checked into the hotel on March 28th. I had severe altitude sickness. I saw a reminder on the Ctrip backend that the hotel would start supplying oxygen at 8pm, so I had to buy a few oxygen cylinders myself. There was a problem with the humidifier in the room. The room attendant came in without saying hello, just filled the humidifier with water and left. There was no minimum courtesy or kind reminder to customers about the instructions. There was no training or assessment on weekdays. At 8 o'clock, there was still no oxygen, and my oxygen cylinder had been used up. I called the front desk and she told me that the oxygen supply would start at 8:30. At 8:30, I called her again and she said the technician had gone to open it. At 8:33, she called again and asked me to wait. I arrived directly at 8:37. I questioned the front desk, but they still didn't feel uneasy. I went to the VIP building of Tibet Hotel as a person with altitude sickness. Many other hotels provide oxygen all day long, but they didn't provide oxygen from 8:30 pm to 7 am the next day, which is very unfriendly. I didn't expect that they didn't provide it during the time period and there was no apology. I had a severe headache from altitude sickness and found the front desk to question them. High-quality service should open oxygen for customers in advance and care about their physical condition. This front desk was arrogant and had no sympathy for the customers. Altitude sickness is very dangerous. I accepted such a cold and ruthless service experience of the VIP building of Tibet Hotel when I was extremely uncomfortable. I will never come again! !
