Great hotel. Super friendly staff. Love the way they use the translator mic and very efficient.
The room design is to the “point”. I will defintely recommend it for solo traveller or “medium-built” couple.
Bath is ok, resting area is good, unfortunately did not go for breakfast/ dinner.
If i m back to Kochin, will stay again.
Nestled within the abundant natural beauty of Kochi, “Kohan-yu” stands quietly on a vast 3,000-tsubo estate. This is an exclusive Tosa retreat, welcoming only four groups of guests at a time.
All guest rooms offer panoramic lake views and are equipped with private open-air hot spring baths. While gazing upon the ever-changing scenery of the lake through the seasons, guests can indulge in the mineral-rich “Golden Onsen” directly from its natural source.
Dining features dishes centered around vegetables grown in the property’s own garden, capturing the pure essence and richness of nature. Throughout the property, the refined tones of world-class vintage audio systems create an atmosphere of deep tranquility and sophistication.
In 2025, the property was selected for the Michelin Guide “Hotel Selection,” a testament to its exceptional hospitality. Here, a one-of-a-kind healing experience that awakens all five senses awaits you.
The hotel is located in a remote area, suitable only for self-driving tours. The hotel is situated on a cliff, offering a very quiet environment. All rooms face the sea, but it is a bit dated, and the large bathhouse is a bit far from the rooms, which may be inconvenient for elderly people. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast and dinner were also good.
