The room was clean, the staff at the front desk were very friendly, parking was free, and they would assist with parking after you handed the key to the front desk. The location was excellent, with many good izakayas (Japanese pubs) downstairs. The room wasn't large, but it was sufficient.

It's a long way, but definitely worth going. Their hot springs are so special. I felt so relaxed after taking a dip. The dinner was very sumptuous. My mother-in-law was so kind. I really like this B&B and hope to visit again.

IISHI NAMI 2025.04.04
I stayed here for two nights because it was close to the station, the price was reasonable, and the reviews said it was clean. The building is old, but it was well-cleaned. I stayed for two nights, but the sheets were changed (they were on the bed, so you lay them down yourself). The shower, toilet, and washroom are shared by men and women. I went to a public bath and hot spring, so I didn't use the shower. The entrance is unlocked, so you can enter and exit freely 24 hours a day. The entrance to the room is unlocked, too. However, since it was next to the shared floor, I didn't feel uneasy. They come to turn off the lights at 10pm (it's dimly lit after the lights are turned off). There is a lockable box in the room for valuables (suitcases won't fit). It was enough for me since I only needed to sleep. Thank you for your help. *Recommended for experienced travelers.

It was clean and very good. There was a bath, but I used it because there was a very good hot spring within walking distance.

What a surprisingly wonderful old ryokan! Operating for a century, its interior boasts a rich Showa-era charm. It definitely feels historic but is spotlessly clean. The true highlight was breakfast, which unexpectedly featured pork shabu-shabu. The broth was made with genuine, high-quality ingredients, and the yuzu kosho was locally sourced. Paired with the black pork, it was absolutely delicious! 😋

As the name suggests, Showa-like inn. The best inn for me. But the toilet was a little troubled. I wipe it with my left hand when wiping my butt, but when I wipe it, the toilet seat tilts to the right side, if you fix it, 100 perfect score, because it's me (laughs) Also, Goemon bath I wonder if it was good, I've been in Fukushima since I entered, so I'm very satisfied. (laughter)

This is a self service hotel, with basic amenities. For our group it is good to have a common area which is heated up during the cold season. It is located by the river, so the nearby scenic view is fabulous on a sunny day. Overall, we are satisfied.

GGuest UserA very rustic, traditional, homey guest house. No en suite bathroom but shared ones are super clean AND there is an indoor onsen!! The room was very warm and cozy, food ( must be ordered in advance) was amazing. The owners are extremely warm and friendly - gave us great recommendations and made us feel so at home. You are able to rent hiking here for a very low price. Location is very central, close to Miyanoura port, restaurants, and amenities. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly highly recommend :)

GGuest UserEasy to check in and nice staff. This place has hostel/airbnb/surf shack vibes. It was not super clean but it was not terrible. I booked for one person but trip.com/booking.com booked me for the maximum occupancy (4), so it was more expensive than it should have been. Also, I selected pay at site and used my credit card as a guarantee. This Hotel is cash only, which I paid; however, I haven’t been reimbursed my guarantee from the website. So, I’ve effectively paid eight times what should have as of now. These bookings sites are always trying to scam customers, so I’m sure I’ll have to submit a claim with my credit card. That’s no fault of the hotel though.

TThere’s A World To SeeThis place is incredible, ran by a small operation up in the mountains of Kagoshima. The onsen is something out of this world. Rich with iron and minerals from the mountain, it looks like something akin to a studio Ghibli movie from the outside. The staff are kind and very helpful and breakfast is a real treat for those who like a traditional Japanese breakfast. 10/10 would highly recommend and stay again. Also to note as a foreigner with tattoos the staff don’t seem to mind so much and my entrance to the baths was permissible. That may be helpful to know.

RRomanGreat place. There is a nice cafe on the second floor. The sand springs are nearby. The room is tiny but cozy. There is a bathtub. It’s a classical Japanese styled room. There is water in the fridge. Also, if you need to buy something, there is a drug store nearby. If you decide whether to stay there or not hope it helps. The only disadvantage is that you need to walk around 20 min from the station.
