I recently had to cancel my reservation at The Fairhaven Hotel due to an unexpected illness, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has left much to be desired. Despite reaching out promptly to explain my situation and request a refund, I was met with a firm refusal. The hotel’s cancellation policy was not flexible enough to accommodate my circumstances, which was quite disappointing. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but a little compassion in times of need would have gone a long way. The hotel itself may have great amenities and a lovely atmosphere, but my experience with their handling of cancellations has overshadowed any positive aspects. I would advise potential guests to carefully consider the cancellation policy before booking, especially if there’s a chance that plans may change unexpectedly. Overall, while I cannot speak to the quality of the stay, my interaction with the hotel regarding my cancellation has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope they can improve their customer service approach in the future.

### Trip.com Review **Good location and supportive staff** I had a pleasant stay at Cecil Court Hotel in Bournemouth and would rate it **8/10**. The location was very convenient for me as it was close to my office. The breakfast was below average, but the staff were very supportive and accommodating. They kindly arranged my breakfast **30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time** to suit my work schedule, which I really appreciated. Overall, a good stay with helpful staff and a convenient location.

Had such a lovely stay! Room was clean and service was excellent. Was lucky enough to eat at the pub as well and the food was incredible. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning to pass through Shaftesbury.

Very good location, just outside the Weymouth station, however, the rooms are crampy and small. the service was good

Very good stay experience, the hotel is located in the center of the hotel, with a sea view outside the window. One of the bosses is a Chinese woman, communication is convenient, the hotel is very warm and caring. Our suite with a separate kitchenette for simple meals and a separate wash and dryer is very convenient for children sailing every day.
