3-Star Hotels in Nara Prefecture, Japan

The hotel is conveniently located near the station in a quiet area. You can walk to Nara Park and the nearest sights. The room had a teapot, tea, plastic glasses (which is uncomfortable), a fan, a lingerie dryer, bathrooms, lots of towels. But on the layer floor where the bed is very dusty. All the windows and curtains are in dust. Appended a photo.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to JR Nara Station, making it easy to purchase all your travel tickets, including airport bus tickets. The surrounding area is very convenient, with a grocery store, a drugstore, and several nice, affordable dining options nearby. There is also a 4-hour open bar in the evening where you can try a variety of Japanese and international alcoholic beverages. The hotel also features an onsen with both indoor and outdoor areas, which was quite popular among guests.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and regretted not staying for two. The journey from the station was an hour-long bus ride along winding roads, so if you're traveling with a child, pack a bag beforehand, as it can cause motion sickness. From the bus stop to the hotel, it's a 10-15-minute walk (at a leisurely pace). You'll see your name on the sign at the entrance. The hotel is modern, but it creaks when you walk, which is actually a plus. The room is traditionally furnished with two rooms, and they offer complimentary tea. There are plenty of closets, though I couldn't figure out how to turn off one light. I also recommend booking the room with a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. Everything is delicious and fresh. There's a small local brewery next to the hotel, which is a nice place to stop in after the onsen in a yukata.

My trip to Japan was so enjoyable largely because of this hotel! I was initially worried about the two Superhotels, but this one was fantastic! It's right across from the JR station, and the staff at the front desk all speak Chinese, and I heard they also speak Korean, Japanese, and English—amazing! Communication was completely seamless. During check-in, they explained everything in detail, including pillows, pajamas, combs, shampoo, and more! The breakfast was delicious and very Japanese, and I noticed many Japanese people choose to stay here, which was really great. Nara Park is also within walking distance. Overall, I had a wonderful time. I've already recommended it to everyone I know, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kansai—it's even cheaper than others! The rooms are small, but that seems to be a common problem with Japanese hotels.

Cannot speak highly enough of the friendly staff, the amazing breakfast and dinners, the wonderful public bath with cherry blossoms on full display outside. The room was large and comfortable with a seating area over looking the mountains. If I could rate them 10 out of 5 I would. The location was excellent and close to the train, buses and walking paths to the top of Mt Yoshino. We felt very lucky to have stayed here. It was the highlight of our trip to Japan.

I like Japanese feeling, Japanese cuisine, hotel staff have a courteous and comfortable experience, the price is 1 berth and two meals! Satisfied 👍🏻 It is convenient to go straight from the Kintetsu Station. I am super satisfied with my first stay in Nara! Good hotel that will be ordered again

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia as a solo traveller for 2 years, the amenities and value for money were exceptional, huge rooms by japans standards. Only issue is the location, if you don’t have a car it’s a walk for everything, even the closest konbini is 10-12 minute walk, which isn’t end of the world but it’s not as convenient as used to with Japan. The roads surrounding are not really made for walkingeither, it’s dual carriageways. And getting to the central tourist zone of Nara is a pain, 15 mins to closest bus stop. My train out of Nara was also a 25 minute walk with heavy bags. If the location was better it really would be 10/10.

Right next to Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara Station, this hotel boasts a convenient location and excellent value for money. The room is typical of a Japanese business hotel – perfectly fine for a stay. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient for dining, drinking, and shopping. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

After a tiring day, returning here to enjoy a cup of hot tea and relax on the tatami mat evokes a wonderful sense of comfort and relaxation. The hotel staff are warm and professional. They not only patiently answer questions in English but also thoughtfully provide transportation guidance between attractions. The surrounding izakayas (Japanese pubs) and convenience stores are also very convenient, making it exceptionally easy to savor Nara's famous Kakinoha-zushi (persimmon leaf sushi) or purchase souvenirs. For travelers eager to deeply experience Nara's Tang-inspired ancient charm and explore the lineage of Tang Dynasty Buddhist culture in Japan, Toyoko Inn Nara is undoubtedly an ideal choice. Here, history and modernity blend seamlessly; every outing becomes a cultural encounter, and every return offers the comfort of home.
