"The small town of Zigui left a particularly good impression on me! Compared with Fengjie, the previous stop, Zigui is much more civilized - for example, when crossing the road, even if there are no cars on the road, locals will wait for the green light in a proper manner (compared to the chaos of Fengjie, it is really a world of difference). The hotel is on the fifth floor of a building, and you can park in the underground B2 parking lot as long as it is not a private parking space. But it is recommended that the hotel coordinate with the property to find a fixed parking area, because even though we called in advance to ask about the parking rules, we still had to go around twice on the negative 2 floor before finding a suitable parking space. Entering the elevator from the basement is a test for people with large luggage. There is no ramp, and both steps need to be carried by hand. When leaving the hotel, the front desk will assist in scanning the code to exit the basement. The TV in the room can be projected. This is the first hotel that can project the screen in the three weeks of this trip, although the star rating is not high. The disposable towels are also very considerate. I am used to bringing my own towels. If there are disposable towels, I don’t have to bring towels. The children like the snacks and drinks given away. The breakfast room is small and there are not many varieties, but the freshly made rice noodles are also carefully seasoned, and are better than the freshly made food in the higher-end hotels before (the noodles ordered by my friend are also delicious, and the pickled cabbage fried rice is very popular with children); the Tremella soup is definitely freshly cooked. Tremella soup is available for breakfast in this area, and some places have it left over from the previous night. Fresh ingredients are the most important condition for breakfast! A Zigui folk restaurant near the hotel tastes very good, with sufficient dishes and reasonable prices."

It was my first time in Zigui, and I was hoping to see the Three Gorges Dam, so I booked a river-view room to see the Yangtze River. But when I checked in and opened the curtains, I was almost dumbfounded. There was no river view at all; it was just a residential area. The Yangtze River was only faintly visible in the distance. The room was also filthy. Despite the large room size, the air conditioning was completely ineffective. The dust and stains on the bedside table hadn't been wiped. The tissue box, despite its size, contained tissues that seemed smaller and less valuable than those found on Pinduoduo. The TV was tiny, and the TV wall frame instantly lowered the room's perceived quality. The spare blanket in the wardrobe hadn't been cleaned of hair. The toilet was filthy, and the water pressure was incredibly low… In short, it was terrible, not worth the expensive booking. I didn't see the river view, and the environment and hygiene were awful. Even in downtown Yichang, the room rate was much higher. They should go abroad and learn from them!"
