"For a short escape from the city, we chose Ancient Tree Meditation Mountain Lodge, and it exceeded all expectations. The unique ambiance of the ancient trees embracing the窑洞 (cave dwellings) was absolutely captivating. The courtyard was serene and peaceful, and the sound of the wind rustling through the old trees was incredibly therapeutic. The guest room amenities showed a generous investment – the high-end mattress provided an excellent night's sleep. The accompanying wellness programs were a unique highlight: morning meditation, sound bath healing, and intangible cultural heritage incense making. These slow-paced experiences helped us shed our fatigue. The butler service was thoughtful and attentive, and breakfast was exquisite and delicious. There was no commercialized hustle and bustle, making it perfect for a getaway with girlfriends, or for a solo retreat to find peace and quiet. A truly worthwhile escape. "This hotel is really great! It's close to all the attractions, and after a long day of sightseeing, you can relax in the hot springs. The housekeeping staff, particularly Zhang Jianqiu and Chang Xianghong, were incredibly warm and efficient. When I wanted to use the hot spring, Sister Chang meticulously cleaned the tub. Seeing that I had a child, she even proactively gave us extra water. At the restaurant, Yang Jingwen noticed my child couldn't reach the table and immediately came over to ask if we needed a high chair. However, there were a couple of minor issues. I booked for two nights, but for some reason, I had to renew my room card on the second day, which I've never encountered before. Also, when I checked in, the front desk took my license plate number and said it would be registered until my departure. But when I left, I found out it hadn't been entered, and I had to contact them again to sort it out."

"It was a very polarized experience staying in a homestay. The good part was that it was very close to the scenic area. Then here are the reasons why I will never choose this store again and will not recommend it to my friends: 1. The sound insulation is 0. The door panels and walls are as if they were made of paper. People in the corridor don’t need to speak loudly, and people in the room can hear clearly. 2. The design is extremely unreasonable. The public activity area for guests is set in the corridor at the door of the room (as shown in the picture). In the case that the room is not soundproof, once all guests, especially those with children, play in this area, the guests in the rooms on the entire floor basically don’t have to rest, which is a very bad experience. 3. Old facilities are common in every hotel, but the toilet is not sealed, and it is not a big deal that the exhaust fan only hums without exhausting air."
