Washington Central Hotel and Sleepwell Inn ★★★★

"Long check in time and very difficult to get a hold with anyone for any concerns. The heater is not working!!! We have been calling the phone number for assistance but no one is picking up and sometimes goes to voicemail right away. The inn is a separate building, upon checking in you will just be given a piece of paper contains information to access the building. The code that was given to us did not work!!! In order to get assistance you have to walk back to the main building which was on the other side and a few minutes walk. No one even picking up if you call."

Hall Park Hotel Self Check IN ★★★

"The room was average. The toilet didn't flush properly, and the water pressure was very low. The breakfast was decent, an English breakfast. The wait staff were very friendly. The hotel is relatively small, somewhat reminiscent of a B&B or family hotel."

The Sleepwell Inn ★★★★

"I have stayed here for the last 20 years, but have not stayed since lock down. A few things have changed. I stayed here for the first time in a while and noticed the following. The nice home made biscuits in the room have gone, there are no biscuits at all. The glass of port in the room is no more. These were little touches which made it special. The room was cold, it used to be like a furnace, however at 4am the furnace came alive, they really need to sort this out, it was too much too late. I had my lead to charge my phone, but there are no usb charging ports, however I found one on the back of the tv, which only worked when the tv is on. I turned the tv down and faced it to the wall, and it worked perfectly. In a positive note I forgot toothpaste and the reception gave me a tube. Breakfast- I used to be impressed with the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, this is now an additional charge, but the included breakfast is still good, although one of the poached eggs was a bit under done. Andrew made everyone feel welcome at breakfast, the staff are still amazing, which were always the highlight of my previous reviews, Would I stay here again, yes, it is still the best hotel I town,"

"Lovely property room and cottage done to a very high standard extremely clean friendly welcome and accommodating. Cooked breakfast was outstanding all fresh and local produce property, only a ten minute walk from the coast and on the doorstep to the lake district would highly recommend."
