"Had a nice little stay. They are doing renovations in there so the stairs are blocked off on the ground floor. I prefer to use the stairs. The computer took forever also and I waited upfront for over 30 minutes to check in. Which also was annoying but other than those 2 things. It was nice. The breakfast is always great and the staff were nice!"

"The hotel is relatively new, with two bedrooms and three very comfortable 5-foot beds. Parking is convenient, and it's the best hotel in the nearby towns. The breakfast is quite generous, with takeout plates and bags provided for those on the go. The cleanliness is excellent, except for the clogged drain, which made showering uncomfortable. The sound of footsteps upstairs is quite noticeable, and the sound of passing cars outside is also quite noticeable, but not very frequent. Overall, it's a good stay."

"I felt unsafe. It was a first floor room with multiple random doors accessing it and I didn’t know where they led to. You could see the doors once had deadbolts that had been ripped off and there were peep holes with toilet paper shoved in them so you couldn’t see into the room! There were questionable guests on the property who I didn’t feel safe around. My parking space backed up to a wooded area with homeless people living behind a dilapidated shed. The room was dirty with wasps flying around it. As a single female traveling by herself I did not feel comfortable staying here. I left immediately, without even requesting a different room since the entire property was like this."

"We had a lovely stay at the Four Columns Inn. This was our second time staying here, and our first under recent, new ownership. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and were taken to our suite. We stayed in the “Sting Suite” which is located on the 3rd floor of the front building with columns. The room is nicely decorated, with cathedral ceiling and two sided gas fireplace. The bathroom is spacious with double sinks, hot tub and shower. We appreciated having the mini fridge in the room. The bed was comfortable, a bit softer than we are used to. This room price is very expensive, so to give it more of an upscale feel I would suggest offering bathrobes, plusher towels and finer quality bed linens. For skiing and muddy weather, I would suggest adding a waterproof mat or place to put boots and damp ski gear, as we didn’t want to ruin the nice wooden floors. The inn offers a continental breakfast that includes coffee, tea, juice, limited fruit and pastry. We were disappointed with the selection of pastries and fruit, and felt there could be more variety and home baked options. There are very few places nearby for hot breakfast so being able to get a hot breakfast at the hotel would be my suggestion for a future offerings. We ate dinner at the hotel’s restaurant 1832 Tavern. The restaurant serves tavern food. The food was ok, very basic. Our server was very inexperienced, which led to some disappoint with our meal and dining experience. The manager spoke to us and gave us complementary desert to make up for it. There are very few dining options in Newfane so I hope the restaurant can provide more compelling food options and improve service. Overall our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The inn is lovely and the staff is kind and helpful. For the new management, I hope these suggestions are helpful."
