Hyatt Place Whitehorse
9.1 (91 reviews)

Hyatt Place Whitehorse ★★★

📍 511 Main Street, Whitehorse

"No shower hose, which was inconvenient, and the water pressure was terrible. For a Hyatt Place, there were no slippers in the room or bathroom... and no complimentary water! Definitely won't be coming back."

Wild North Bed & Rest ★★★

📍 79 Teslin Rd, Whitehorse

"The name has changed to North Wind Bed and Rest (no longer serving breakfast). This is a bit like a hostel. Multiple private rooms in a quiet neighborhood home with a shared kitchen, living space and bathrooms. The rooms are smallish and don't have their own TVs but the place was very clean and quiet and has a washer and dryer for you to use. Everything you could need was at hand and a 5 minute drive to downtown Whitehorse. "

"Tara Lyn Jean 1/5 20 minutes ago on Google A little back story . I have insomnia and sometimes when it gets really bad I get really sick. Just tired sick. So sometimes for the sake of my household and sanity I check into a hotel , airbnb for a few nights. It usually does the trick. I have stayed at the edge water, sternwheeler. All great and quiet. This time I stayed here. I was very sick and five days without sleep. I booked online, checkin went fine. I had a cigarette in my room (yes I know- I was prepared to face the charges) , a lady came to my room and like aggressively and physically tried to get in my room. She asked me to check out, I would never have begged if I was not sick but I did, and here I am still. She than tells me that every room gets checked/cleabed - even if you don’t want it .WHAT????? I have never heard of this before anywhere??? So another sleepless night came and I called the front desk to make sure than no one bothered me ….. in case I did actually fall asleep. The gentleman on the phone said too bad the manager would come in regardless…… again what?????? So skip forward to noon the following day still no sleep. I get a call saying they must clean the room . I said no you don’t . Followed by knocking now. Could you imagine if I actually fell asleep…. The guy said they have to ask me to leave again, is that how they make extra money , rent out the room twice over???? This is not even legal. So I told the guy if all you want to do is check the room go do it. Anyway do not stay here."

Hyatt Place Whitehorse ★★★
"The aurora trip was planned two weeks in advance. I was torn between Baima and Yellowknife, but ultimately chose Baima because of the hotel. Although the aurora was not as good as expected due to the weather, the hotel was undoubtedly excellent. The restaurant downstairs solved all the dining problems, which was perfect."

Destination Family Hotel ★★
"It’s a 2 star hotel , so no prior expectations and it matched that. It’s in the city centre so easy access to everything, room was good, stains on bedding as noted by other reviews.  I had to request a cleaning as there was no instruction on check in that there should have been a knob hanger to request it ( which my room did not have) as I was travelling for work this suited my needs, and was affordable."

Best Western Gold Rush Inn ★★★
"Very busy hotel. Some of the front desk staff need foe client training. Was not offered a room at check in 3 pm as room# not cleared. but other rooms available. told to wait 5 min..that became 30 minutes. Another front desk clerk assigned me a different room#. then the cash terminal wasnt working. Get to the room, beside a barking dog in the romm next door. barking for 2 hours. Hotel is nice. very popular. Would be incredible if more team work with staff to process long line of check ins and also support to clients to get them easily checked in..no waiting 1 hour more for a room"

"Very clean and comfortable, with good service. Each room is equipped with kitchen facilities, very suitable for family stay, and the breakfast is also rich. I feel that this is the most cost-effective hotel in the Baima area"
