This property is very cozy, modern and minimal! It is in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle but a short drive away! It has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is very convenient! Each room is put together for your comfort.
Extensive renovations completed in December 2020 includes upgraded finishes in the bathroom and main living space. All kitchen appliances are new.
Though we’ve kept it simple, the apartment is carefully stocked to meet the needs of busy travelers, explorers, and those seeking a beautiful home base for local business and adventure, or even a vacationer looking for a serene retreat.
As soon as you enter the property you will step into the living room/dining combo. This room has a comfy tufted futon to watch TV or interact with guest who are in the kitchen as they are adjoining rooms. Fully appointed kitchen if you enjoy cooking. A coffee station with a Keurig is also available during your stay. Bedrooms have a queen and king bed. Each bedroom has a SmartTV. Everything needed is provided (linens, towels, washcloths, cookware, etc). Property does not have washer/dryer however a laundromat is located 5 minutes away.
Business travelers will enjoy EPB high speed fiber internet (known to be the fastest in the country), easy access to downtown Chattanooga, as well as a quick commute to downtown Rossville.
We are locals and are happy to help you plan excursions in and around the area. Or, day trips outside the city.
Other things to note
This property is a duplex (1st floor- all rooms have windows) - it is a possibility that other guest will be staying upstairs. You may also hear guest walking or moving around. This is expected with a shared property. Please be mindful of other guest. Perfect, peaceful and quiet!! ABOUT THE HOME:
The home went through a complete renovation including new windows, basement refinish, landscaping and a NEW 3rd bathroom with STEAM SHOWER.
We love the natural MCM look of the 1960s rancher and chose to lean into the uniqueness - by keeping the original green bathroom tiles and beadboard basement.
This home is spacious for multiple couples, children and pets.
The 2nd floor
-Includes 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. 1 bathroom is en-suite to the primary bedroom, and 1 bathroom is off of the main hallway. This floor walks out to the amazing back-deck with a view of Lookout Mountain. The back-deck faces West so guests can see the most amazing sunsets. In the morning, you can enjoy your coffee/tea listening to the birds. Deck includes two layout chairs, a 4-top metal table set with umbrella and two stackable chairs, a gas grill, chimenea, and stocked with firewood on the first floor.
The 1st floor
-Completely finished partial basement which walks-outside to the fenced back yard / dog run. This floor includes the largest 4th bedroom (this bedroom does not have a window), and an entertainment room that has 3 separate beds (futon, twin trundle) - perfect for kids or a group of friends.
-This floor includes a brand new 3rd full bathroom with walk in, steam shower

This beautiful, recently renovated, fairy-tale cottage is located in Chickamauga, GA, near the National Battlefield and convenient to Chattanooga, TN. Located in a charming small town, with boutique shops and several great places to eat, it is also only 12 miles (or 25 minutes) to downtown Chattanooga, where you can enjoy many family/tourist activities (including Rock City and Ruby Falls!) and FABULOUS restaurants! The cottage can sleep several, and is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The space
This is truly a storybook/fairy-tale cottage and decorated with loving attention to detail! It even has a spinning wheel!
It has a small kitchen, small dining area , 2 nice decks and a front porch, and a campfire pit . It has a bedroom downstairs with a full bed, a fold out bed in the, living room with flat screen tv w/cable, luxurious bathroom with vintage claw-foot tub and separate shower, upstairs has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a 1/2 bath across the hall from the another bedroom that has 2 full-size , built in captain beds. The stairs going upstairs are a bit steep, but good handrails and a gate (that latches) at the top.

If the barn isn't occupied/rented, you are welcome to walk down to the renovated, event barn and visit the goats and miniature horse.
Interaction with guests
Someone from our family is always around our 40 acre farm adjacent to the cottage property. We are all very happy to have guests in the cottage - please let us know if you have any questions or if we can help you in any way!

The fairy tale cottage is incredibly special! We put precious items inside to share with you during your stay and ask that you are careful with all of the treasures. We do welcome well-behaved children and are so glad for them to visit this magical place, and they LOVE the cottage, but be aware there are items that are very tempting to little ones that aren’t to be played with, so you may have to move some things out of harm’s way if needed! The cottage has multiple levels and also has a fairly steep set of stairs – so is not be ideal for babies or busy toddlers: younger guests will need help and a close eye!About pets:No pets allowed.Crated pets only - allergy free zone-call for more.About checkOut:Check out before 12:00 PM.About children:Children allowed: ages 3-17.Call for kids 3-7years- fragile items/steep stairs.About customRules:Cottage is full of treasures.
