Azur Hotel Volos
"We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was a lovely stay. Our suite on the 6th floor was spacious and clean, with a balcony offering a partial sea view. The bathroom was also large and clean, with plenty of toiletries. There was a refrigerator stocked with water and coffee and tea making facilities. The breakfast room isn't large, but it's adequate. The buffet includes both local specialties and international dishes – a good selection with something for everyone. The location is excellent for both a trip to Pelion and for catching the ferry."
Domotel Xenia Volos
"We were guests during the flood in Volos and stayed isolated in the Hotel for 4 days. The staff was outstanding going well beyond their regular duties to make every guest comfortable. I will definitely return."
Hotel Kipseli
"Nice place."
Hotel Hani Zisi
"Unfortunately, there was a big problem with the fireplace. In the hour that I was able to sit down (because I assumed it was something temporary), I found that the entire 1st floor had a big problem, since it was leaking smoke! When I asked the hotel if there was another room that wasn't leaking, the answer was negative, and the reason for the problem was that it was leaking because "wind is blowing and we can't do anything about it"!!!! Unfortunately for the hotel managers, I work for a technical company and have (also) worked on chimney installations. Therefore, I know that when the chimney is leaking smoke, it's not the wind's fault! Quite simply, either the construction is wrong or the chimney has not been maintained. Too bad, because the place seemed to be about the same as the photos, even if the room (triple) needed a renovation, while the tavern outside looked amazing. I say it seemed because I didn't sit down to eat, of course. Finally, the manager, in addition to writing me down in a place where ink doesn't get caught in my remarks about the tobacco, almost shouted at me (classic behavior of a Greek "businessman" when he doesn't need the customer) because I told him that I would delay leaving a little until I found another place to stay. And because I didn't want to "poison" (literally, because I have respiratory problems, and figuratively) my vacation any more, I got up and left. My "poisoning" cost me an overnight stay, as is also provided for by the hotel's policy. I was expecting something better because of the inconvenience, since I finally found somewhere to stay in the afternoon, and not in the mountains of course, but we said, it was August 15th and they didn't need us, so..."
1910 Lifestyle Hotel
"The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10 minute walk from the port. The room is small but clean and tidy. Breakfast is good, and the view is excellent. I booked a sea-view room, which indeed offers a nice sea view, but it is also next to the road, so it can be a bit noisy at night."
Valeni Boutique Hotel & Spa
"My family and I were at the hotel for a happy occasion of Christening of a close friend's child. The place is tranquil, and personnel are ready to help and assist. Rooms are well equipped with coffee & tea equipment, plenty of towels. Spa offers a variety of massages and different procedures."
Aegli Hotel Volos
"The hotel is generally OK. Because it is a short-term official business, it is not bad to stay for one night. The price is high."
Gastronomy Hotel Kritsa
"Needing to catch an early ferry from Volos and not finding anything suitable in town, we decided to stay at Hotel Kritsa in Portaria having seen other good reviews online. We were not disappointed! The hotel and restaurant are nestled on the main square in the centre of the village. Our room was comfortably furnished with a little balcony overlooking the square. We had a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and air-conditioning (a must when temperatures are in the late 30s) The staff were really friendly especially Elein and we ate at the restaurant in the evening. Food was fantastic. With a very early start we didn’t get to sample the breakfast which everyone raves about however they kindly made up a pack-up for us. Great value and a lovely hotel"
Magnes Hotel
"Easy access, free parking in the basement, excellent service, friendly stuff, quality restaurant and bar. The room was quiet, we didn't hear any noise from the next door rooms. It was a very pleasant experience, highly recommended if you plan to visit the city of Volos."

Elite Cottages
Hotel Karagianni
"Location is perfect, host is absolutely amazing, rooms were comfy and we rested very well after the long trip 😊 greetings from Island Angels from Cyprus"
Valis Resort Hotel
"Not a five star hotel. Very worn furniture and the rooms seem to be untidy. It needs an immediate renovation. Not a value for money. I don’t recommend it. No heated indoor pool."
Palladio Hotel - Portaria
"The room was awful when you entered the room.Of the five rooms only in one had towels, so we could get us to the rest of their rooms we asked for it three times and they finally brought them in the evening. The worst was that they did not turn on the heating, and in the rooms the temperature barely reached 18 degrees (then they closed the heating and fell to 16). Every 2-3 hours we had the time to look for the person responsible to do something with the burner that didn't work (even at 4 o'clock we were looking to turn on the heating so we wouldn't freeze). You understand that in a mountain destination and indeed in winter this is a big problem; the score with 1 star is done because there is no 0 (or even less)."
Portaria Hotel
"The hotel is located just 5-10 minutes walk above the lovely village of Portaria. From most of the rooms you have a splendid view over the bay and city of Volos which can be accessed only by car in about 30 minutes along a windy but scenic road. The hotel is divided into several houses with no central hallway. Therefore you have to walk along the parking site in front of the hotel in order to access the wellness area. Swimming pool and fitness room cost an extra charge of 15,- EUR per day and sauna another 10,- EUR per person on top. Therefore we never saw people using it and this seems to be intended. We had a spacious junior suite with our own fire place. But when we lit the fire, the whole room was full of smoke despite a closed glas fire door. It seemed that others had the same problem since the room smelled already smoky on the day of our arrival. The personnel at the reception seems not be prepared for foreigners even though they spoke English quite reasonably. Different people were not very helpful and we always had the impression that they were glad when we did not bother them with questions. One highlight was the breakfast with a wide variety of fruit, bread, cake, cereals, cheese, omelette, sausages, fresh pressed orange juice, mountain tea etc."
Xenia Palace Portaria
"Very good looking room, very clean, great staff, and a very cozy Christmas environment; what else could you ask for around December? The lobby is a place to have a seat and enjoy a book or in case you have to work, take your laptop/tablet and be productive. They also have a great breakfast!"

Palladio Hotel
"A nice, preserved set of 19th century traditional decoration in the countryside and in the rooms without excess.Delicious breakfast with fresh panther's cakes.Beautiful courtyard and a rooftop to enjoy a coffee and a bathtub. In our time, it is perfect. Value for money. I'll stay there again if I go back to the clay."

Local Urban Living
"I was surprised how quiet a centrally located room can be in this quite noisy city. In 5-10 minutes the various centres of this city (party, shopping, bumbling) can be conveniently reached walking. Volos is my birth city and I had several dates to make with lawyers, notars and authorities in a short time. My rental car was only needed for a trip to the Pelon mountains. All other locations were quickly and walkingly accessible. I also made short rest breaks in the room, as it was possible to reach quickly between the dates. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the whole house and the attention of the staff. I have renounced the order of breakfast because you can come to one of the nearby cafés and bistros and enjoy local specialities. I think I wasn't the last time in Local Urban Living and I'd like to continue it ..."

Tasia Mountain Hotel
"The hotel was centrally located for visiting both the east and west coasts of the northern area of the Pelion peninsula, (an area known for its winding roads which take a long time to get around). It was also spotlessly clean & comfortable and the breakfast superb. However, what makes this hotel really special is the warm, family atmosphere created by Anastasia who does everything she can to make your stay extra special. We would give her 15 out of 10 if we could! There is nothing to dislike but customers should be aware that out of season, there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity and we therefore profited from Anastasia's snack menu each evening."
