"My room was clean and impeccable, it got a single bed with springy mattress and one pillow. Small directional reading light with a gooseneck was mounted to the headboard of the bed. It was useful for night reading. I intentionally preferred yard facing room as I anticipated too much noise from street, so I recommend this choice for you as well. Remember: the hotel is on one of main road in the center of the city. Curtains didn't ensure a complete blackout but somehow prevented light from outside. The room had a wardrobe with ironing board and safe, two windows, small electric kettle, two tea bags and sugar. Shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom were in small bottles, individually wrapped tiny soap bar was provided as well. All toiletries were quite pleasant, I didn't regret using them. Overall everything looked like in a normal business hotel. I didn't try their cafe since it opens only at 9 AM, which is strange in my view. There were also plenty of cafes around. But majority of them open at 10 am or later. Thankfully I found cafe “Monti” which opens at 8 AM and had breakfast there. In that cafe I paid for breakfast approximately the same as I would pay in the hotel. A dozen of parking lots were available there in the hotel’s backyard, yet finding an entry there was a bit tricky. The gate was through the arch on a back street, check the map or call the reception."

"When planning our October vacation, we chose the Vladimir region again, as we wanted to explore Vladimir itself properly and finally, on our third try, explore Suzdal properly. I've been traveling around our country for a long time now, and I'm increasingly surprised that even in the hinterlands there are hotel complexes, creative and comfortable places to stay for every budget. And in Vladimir, we probably stayed at a designer hotel for the first time – SketchHotel. The SketchHotel is located in the very center of Vladimir, not far from Bolshaya Moskovskaya Street, directly across from the local Puppet Theater, in a former apartment building. The building itself was built back in 1863 by Pyotr Kozlov, a first-guild merchant. Tourists often visit, but most likely not because of the building's historical significance. The location couldn't be better—just see for yourself: dozens of cafes, bars, and restaurants are literally a 5-minute walk away. A museum is around the corner. A theater and a public garden are right across the street. Just across the street is the famous Assumption Cathedral with its unique frescoes by Andrei Rublev. And, of course, there are many other major city attractions. What more could a tourist want? On the ground floor, there's a fitness center and a coffee shop with amazing breakfasts and a bakery. On the second floor, there's the modern Sketch mini-hotel. It recently expanded to the floor above, adding four new rooms in a neo-Memphis style. I'll explain what they are later. At first, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful, authentic façade with stylish branded signs. Then, the hotel's interior aesthetics immersed me even more in a warm, inviting, and cozy atmosphere. SketchHotel is a citadel of comfort and hospitality. The receptionists are always up-to-date on the latest city events, excursions, and special offers. Don't hesitate to contact them; they'll help, including organizing customized programs. Original brickwork, vaulted, airy ceilings, and large windows form the foundation of an incredibly stylish, bright, and atmospheric interior with a cool, functional layout. The designers carefully and respectfully maintained the hotel's cultural heritage, creating a delightful space that's truly a pleasure to be in. The hotel has 12 rooms, with a common room, kitchen, and lounge area on the reception floor. An inexpensive breakfast is available. On the third floor are new VIP rooms, which, as I mentioned above, are designed in a neo-Memphis style. I was very pleased with the entrance; it reminded me of Twin Peaks. Neo-Memphis is beautiful; the internet suggests it's the perfect combination of Art Deco gloss and shine, glamor, Hollywood chic, 80s geometric patterns, and a unique color scheme. The latter style features more modern geometric shapes, graphic elements, and a vibrant accent in virtually every interior element. Terrazzo, arches, and circles predominate.
