I showed the booking and pictures to the hotel attendant, who said she had nothing to do with it. She said it was the difference in price that Ctrip took! She demanded I pay 1,000 euros to stay in the room I booked! This is utter rubbish! A complete scam! (The attendant was a black woman with a very rude attitude. I tried to video-record our conversation, and I told her I'd confront Ctrip, but she refused. It was late with my kids, so I didn't want to argue and just checked in.)"

"This hotel is pretty bad. The elevator is broken, so you have to climb the stairs to get up and down. There is no cup, no kettle, and no small refrigerator in the room. The water supply was cut off at 11pm, and I wouldn't have known it the next morning if I hadn't looked at the paper on the elevator door. There was nothing to eat for breakfast, so it was terrible."

"The room was truly tiny, not even as big as a budget hotel in China. Even for a four-star hotel, it couldn't even fit a 28-inch suitcase. The double beds were all 1.5 meters long, not even 1.8 meters. I don't know how those overweight European couples squeezed in; they'd fall to the floor if they rolled over. The basement garage can only accommodate five or six cars, with a narrow entrance and low interior, so you could easily bump into each other. Breakfast was also simple: fried eggs, bacon, bread, juice, and the like. However, the hotel's location is quite good, right in town, a ten-minute walk from the Palace of Versailles and the metro station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, a supermarket 200 meters away, and a self-service coin-operated laundry a few dozen meters downstairs."
