"I would like to thank all the staff of the hotel and the two restaurants for their welcome. The family room was clean, well maintained, spacious and breakfast was varied, with a valuable choice. The presence of a laundry and a supermarket near the hotel is also very practical, especially for several days stays. Finally, special mention for the brewery restaurant, which we particularly appreciated: the dishes were excellent and the servant very friendly. A very positive experience, especially thanks to the quality of the accommodation and the cleanness of the room."

"We were not warned until about a fortnight before our arrival that an additional floor was being added. We were asked to be forgiving and that disruption would be attempted to be kept to a minimum. The external two/three tower cranes were not a problem. The work on the roof created noise and vibration at intervals. Internally the story was different where work was also being carried out to ceilings in public areas occasionally making making access difficult and on a few occasions downright dangerous. We had booked our eight hotel holiday in January, therefore we had too little notice to change anything. Access is tricky but a sat-nav copes well. Plenty of parking, four disabled bays by the main entrance, EV charging bays available. Our large, carpeted bedroom with an excellent sea and Lake Tanchet view was very comfortable. It contained 2 x 900 mm (3') beds, 42" flat-screen TV (not Smart), small refrigerator, table 2 tub chairs, 2 wardrobes, drawers and shelves. Coffee and tea making facilities. The air conditioning only produced cold air, even on cool days. The Bathroom was a good size with walk in shower. The breakfasts are excellent, oysters and sparkling wine give a clue to the overall standard with an amazing range of breads and 'sprinkles'. The indoors pool is heated to a good temperature with water jets and nick-nacks. Dedicated swimmers have a floated off area. The outdoors pool is excellent for a warm, preferably sunny, day with plenty of sunloungers available. The staff are pleasant and willing. We recognise some same faces each year. We love this hotel. We love Les Sables. We do feel that we were let down this year"

"Very nice hotel just in front of the train station. But it was very quiet though. All was great, the personnel proposed us two connected rooms as we were with children and didn’t charge us for kids breakfast. The parking is in front of the hotel. That was nice. Would highly recommend it."

"The hotel's location is good, close to the seafront, restaurants, and snack bars. The hotel's website doesn't mention it's a holiday village, but there are one or two entertainment events per week (like evening concerts). There's a staircase next to the bar that leads more quickly to the port side, but the steps are dangerous. One step is sloped, making you lean forward, and another has a wooden rod right in front of it. This nearly ruined my stay because I fell (luckily, just scrapes). We didn't have meals at the hotel because there are plenty of options around."

"A great hotel on the seafront. Lovely sea view room. The dinner and breakfast package is worth having. Food great. Good choice of wines and varied breakfast choices too. The serving staff are quite young and don’t have the interaction that one experiences with older staff - but we all have to learn don’t we! A very minor point."

"Nice enough budget hotel. The reception lady and the gentleman at breakfast were very nice and friendly, and very helpful. Enough English is spoken to allow us to understand the house rules. And along with my schoolgirl French we did just fine. It’s a very short walk to the restaurant area/Main Street and also the promenade and the massive beach/ pier. The room was comfortable even if the bathroom was a little tight for space. A good sized shower though. No tea/coffee making facilities though."

This is the second time we have stayed there and the rooms have been well maintained and the beds very comfortable, We will most certainly stay there again."

"Stayed here one night en famille on the way to a vacation in the southwest of France. Reception welcoming, and check in very prompt. Room a very good size and well appointed, and a very decent breakfast the next day. Don't know much about the neighbourhood as this was only a stopover, but if I were around this way again, I'd definitely re-book."

"We had a lovely two days here while visiting Puy du Fou, which is about a 30 min max drive away. Nice towns nearby for food, if you are not eating at PdF. A great welcome from the owners when we arrived, and a super breakfast. The rooms are a good size, although this is an old chateau, not a Travelodge! So don't expect corporate blandness. Comfy beds and good pillows though. We stayed in the Duplex Tower room and it was perfect for our needs."
