"We traveled in June 2023. We rented a car and drove to the property, easy to find even though the roads are tiny....be careful if traveling at night. Food and service was amazing. A wonderful place to dine. We stayed for three nights. The pool and pool service was top notch. Turn down service was lovely and the staff was always very friendly. I do think they need to communicate better. They do not have irons in the room and we requsted one and they said they would do it for us. But...they charged us $35 for two shirts. They did not communicate that there would be a charge. We called the front desk to inquire about that and all they said was sorry we did not tell you. We also had a lot of ants on our balcony...it was really gross. They did spray non-toxic stuff to help with the issue. Vence is a very pretty town and this hotel is worth a few nights, very unique and again the food was delicious. The breakfast everyday was wonderful and creative We regret renting a car and driving there ourselfs. It would have been easier taking a taxi from Nice. We came all the way from Saint Tropez, so we wish we would have dropped our car off in Nice by the train station. Tips: We traveled with our daughter who was 11 at the time. They treated her like a princess. This hotel also has an amazing spa....and great gym. Not to be missed!!"

"Great location at the heart of this medieval small town. So many choices of boutique restaurants nearby. As a solo traveller from Asia, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and because of its serene surrounding, I over spent willingly to indulge myself in an evening of fine dinning. Vitorie is a small boutique hotel, so don't set too high an expectation. Its superb location is worth what you are paying for it...."

"I have waited several months before posting a review of our stay wanting to be certain I wasn’t just reacting in full anger. That said I am going to give highlights only to save time. This hotel was Closed upon arrival at 2pm despite information saying otherwise. Staff often absent despite posted schedule. Surly. Be prepared to lug luggage up a lot of stairs. Car parking is good and view is nice. Facility is in need. Would never stay here again. Biggest disappointment of a long trip through France. Please look elsewhere."

"This hotel offers a good way to visit Vence without feeling hemmed in by tourists. The best things about the hotel are its quiet location, the in-room air conditioning, the swimming pool, and the on-site parking. Note that the English-language description of the hotel on ********** incorrectly states that bed sheets and towels are not available. Of course they are! The location of the hotel is convenient: it is just a few minutes walk to the busy narrow streets of the historical center and is about ten minutes walk to the Matisse Chapel. Another advantage of the hotel is that it is very quiet because it is not right in the center of the crowded town. The hotel is small with only a handful of rooms which makes it cosy. For those people arriving by car, the hotel has convenient on-site parking which costs 8 Euros per night (you need to reserve the parking). Note that the entry to the hotel is on a lower level and you have to go up some stairs to get to the rooms and pool. Nina who greeted us at the reception desk was friendly and helpful. We stayed in room number 2 which is on an upper floor and looks out over the terrace and over the garden next door. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom is small but fully equipped and includes a walk-in shower. Best of all, the in-room air conditioning was very much appreciated and allowed us to get a good night's sleep during July's heatwave. The swimming pool is a major bonus at Villa Roseraie. After a day of sightseeing, it was great being able to take a refreshing dip in the attractive pool and then relax on the loungers. Special large blue towels for swimming are stored in a poolside basket. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room and offers a small range of the usual items, and there are trays so that you can take things out to the terrace and eat in the fresh morning air. But, the quality of the food was fairly disappointing. For example, if you are looking for healthy yoghurt or healthy cereals you will find only sugar-filled options. And, instead of serving bread and pastries from the local bakery that is situated just a few steps down the road, the hotel instead offers unremarkable packaged items from a supermarket. There are a few other things that could be changed to improve the hotel. First, in the terrace and pool area, outdoor speakers play rock music from early in the morning until nighttime. The music is a distraction from enjoying the garden and the Alpes-Maritimes views especially when eating breakfast on the terrace o relaxing by the pool. Second, the room contained a small refrigerator but the freezer compartment needed to be defrosted in order for the fridge to be effective. Third, the room contained a scented deoderiser machine that leaves an artificial perfume smell on clothes and luggage. To summarise: Villa Roseraie is a great place to stay when visiting Vence. Although a few things could be improved, we would consider staying here again."

"We were looking for a hotel room for a couple of nights in Vence , and the towns’ tourist office found the Mas de Vence for us . This family run hotel was very welcoming , the bedroom with balcony was clean , and although it overlooked part of the road into the town , the sound of traffic was never a problem for us . There is a path /little road right next to the hotel which leads upwards into the town centre . The hotel breakfast was basic , the dinner was same but home made . Delicious desserts. There is a pool but it was closed as too early in the spring season . The bus stop toward St Paul de Vence is just across the road . We enjoyed our stay very much ."
