And, WOW ! The setting, the outside, inside the main room, bar and surrounding areas looked superb and the staff were all very helpful. A wonderful setting for a wedding."

"5 people stayed in 3 separate rooms. First impressions the stair carpet to the rooms was extremely dirty had not been cleaned for some considerable time. The stairs themselves are steep and winding and somewhat dangerous in places having steps right outside the door of the twin. The whole place was cold and in need of a good clean. The central heating did come on but only luke warm. The beds were comfortable and the bedding clean and of good quality. The shower rooms were strange with more steps into the shower. The road is busy and therefore very noisy early. The breakfast was dreadful. Ordered items missing, toast was still white had to ask to redo, ingredients were of poor quality, cheap and greasy and Luke warm. For £99 per room, including the twin with single occupancy it was grossly overpriced. Would not return or recommend."

"Good parts - Lovely room, enjoyed the food we bought in the evening (although pricey for the portion sizes). Staff in general friendly. Bad parts -no warning about loud noise from a party night. This kept me awake till after midnight and this was supposed to be a relaxing get away for us. Breakfast - very strange, no cereal, fruit or pastries etc. You aren't given a menu or asked what you would like. Just given an basic English breakfast (the produce did seem local & good though) with tea/coffee. Disappointed with breakfast. I was very cold in the restaurant both in the evening and morning at breakfast. Felt like I needed to wear a coat to be warm. Lastly, we weren't asked how our stay was. I would liked the opportunity to tell them about the lack of sleep due to the loud party at a minimum. My husband recommended this hotel to me after staying many times during COVID. He admitted a noticeable change since then and we agreed to probably wouldn't return now."

Food was nice , drink was expensive Was woke early by plumbing from the downstairs bathroom. The bed mattress was a bit tired on the one side , and I did feel like I was rolling off the edge through the night ."

"We drove from Caerphilly today as the reviews were great for meat burgers , I rang ahead as I’m a fussy vegan who likes vegan food cooked in fresh oil and the kitchen confirmed they do this anyway ❤️ Wonderful staff, beautiful views and grounds . The food was amazing both meat eater and vegan very happy !! Lovely meat burger and vegan burger had no fake meat insight !!! They are totally dog friendly and even have a field dedicated to dogs with jumps , 10/10 visit Highly recommend this place and they have beautiful rooms too Staff behind the bar and server were lovely Go support this amazing pub with rooms ❤️ We will return ❤️"

"OK...It's not the Ritz...but its fifty quid. Try finding a bigger, better, cleaner room for less. Its perfectly acceptable, comfortable etc. Lower your expectations, keep the price in mind and you'll be just fine. Yes its a little shabby and run on a budget in places, but as I say, remember the price. I personally enjoyed my room and my stay, had a great night sleep and would 1000% return when back in this part of Wales."

"I travel a lot on business and my stay was the night before an early busy day. I can honestly say this is one of the loveliest places I’ve stayed in quite a while. The staff are an absolute asset to this hotel. So kind and friendly. They made it feel like such a luxurious experience. The food in the restaurant was also fantastic. Me and my colleague had a great evening meal there. The room was also really nice. The bed was so unbelievably comfortable I had a great night sleep. I have nothing negative to say at all. Have recommended to all my colleagues for the next time they have to travel that way. Will be staying again. Absolute gem of a hotel."

"A lovely overnight stay at the Cwrt Bleddyn after a friend’s local party.Very pleased to stay in the main hotel rather than the annexe where I had stayed before . Bed was really comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We took advantage of the swimming pool and Rajesh on the welcome desk of the swimming pool/ gym was so very helpful. Thank you Rajesh! "Quite disappointed with our stay. We came to attend a wedding at Usk Castle so was convenient for that but otherwise not a lot else. We were put in the annexe which was VERY low standards. Cracked walls and bubbling paint, stained bath, poor taps, tv didn't work, sockets wobbling off the walls. Breakfast was extremely poor. 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 fried egg, small pot of beans. No option for cereal or fruit or pastries. Oh, and toast that had mould on EVERY slice!!! We asked for more and were given no apology. In fact we were told that was how it had been delivered that morning. If the kitchen staff didn't notice mouldy bread, what else are they missing?? Having seen photos on the website and other reviews on here, I'm genuinely shocked we have paid the same amount of money to stay in rooms in the annexe that are such poor standard in comparison to those in the hotel. From my experience of the annexe and the poor breakfast, I wouldn't recommend this hotel."

"Awful. Do not go to Raglan Lodge! I do not understand why Buyagift includes such a shady and incompetent hotel to be included in its list of choices. I checked into Raglan Lodge for a two night stay in mid March and received a parking notice charge from the car park operator Parking Eye. I specifically gave the receptionist my car registration number to avoid problems. However,despite sending my receipt as evidence that I was a guest at the hotel, Parking Eye stated that this was insufficient evidence! And now I have a fine!!!! There is obviously no communication between the parking operator and Raglan Lodge. I emailed my concerns to Raglan Lodge but have received no reply. A truly shameful hotel chain that should be promoted by no organisation! An appalling and time wasting experience.... shameful!!!"

"We stayed here on a work trip down to our south office. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and pleasant member of staff. He took us up to show us our rooms, had a table reserved for us incase we wanted to stay for food and sorted us out with a nice cold beer ! The breakfast we had in the morning was unbelievable, we had to shoot off early the next morning but they offered a takeaway bacon roll if we wanted it. The room was great, clean and tidy. Really enjoyed the stay ! Will definitely book again"
