"We stayed at Baga Otel for 7 nights in September, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is situated in a small cove outside of Akyaka, it’s right on the waterfront, and has a small beach, a pool, and several decked areas. There were plenty of sun beds, and the swimming was gorgeous, as the cove is a mix of warm sea water and cooler fresh water from the nearby river. The hotel building itself is set back a little from the waterfront, but we could still hear the waves lapping from our room, if we left the window open. Our room, whilst on the small side, was immaculately clean, as were all the public spaces. The bathroom was nice, with a powerful shower, and decent towels. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and pillows were of reasonable quality. The wifi was strong in our room, and also throughout the hotel. We got the impression that the hotel was mainly used to hosting Turkish guests, so the staff didn’t really speak much English, and at first they were a little reticent when dealing with us. But once they got used to us, and we tried out the few words of Turkish we knew, they were reasonably friendly. We were there on a bed & breakfast deal, and the Turkish Breakfasts we were served were just fabulous. Whole trays full of jams, eggs, cheeses, fruit, bread, borek, and cakes, along with coffee and Çay. We ate at the hotel restaurant most lunch-times, and had dinner there one night. The food was good, and it was reasonably priced. Most nights, we’d get the reception to call us a cab to take us into the town, a five minute ride, with a fixed price of 100tl (about £1.50) and eat at one of the many restaurants there. We really enjoyed our stay at Baga Otel, and our visit to the lovely Turkish holiday town of Akyaka. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, although if it’s important to you that the staff and locals speak perfect English, then this might not be the resort for you."

"What an amazing family run hotel, the service really was 5 star. The rooms very clean and modern with huge balconies & stunning views. We loved the location right on the river and enjoyed the 10 minute stroll into town taking in all the wonderful views. The swimming pool was excellent with additional cool off pools to the side which my young daughter loved . A special mention for Ennis the young lad on reception who bent over backwards for us and ordered us a taxi for when we needed to get to the ferry port with luggage. He was a joy to talk to and very good at English ."

"NEVER go to this hotel. You will be disgraced with your money and they ruined our holiday. We called the day before to make a reservation and they asked for a deposit, which we sent, and they never called us to inform us. When we arrived at the hotel, they said the room we reserved was empty, showed us a different room in a filthy condition and demanded much more than the price we agreed on. Our holiday was ruined. The owners acted as if this was normal and kicked us out when we didn't pay the price they showed us. This action ruined both our day and our holiday. We searched for a room in the heat for hours. If you end up in such a situation, you will be disgraced with your money. Santo Akyaka is a regret!!! Don't trust this place and never go here."

"We found a 3-night stay in this hotel during the holiday week. We first faced some negative situations but then they were remedied by Aydin Brain interest. When we parked our car, the worker said we should not park under the tent because he was told to come with the hotel owner and his patient. However, we witnessed that this situation was not real afterwards. After entering the hotel, there was no reception officer, but we noticed that Aydın Bey came and when he was alone, the things couldn't get. When we explained the situation to Aydın Bey, he relaxed us, saying, "Not important, you can park where you want." We were very pleased with this approach and interest. The rooms are clean and pleasant, But the combination of two single beds instead of double beds caused a little disturbance. We have made accommodation including breakfast but we remained uncertain about the concept of breakfast. Is it not clear whether there is a buffet or a snack breakfast? With a changed breakfast menu every day We met but I think the varieties are insufficient for the open buffet. Also there was only the choice of Nescafe at breakfast, and this was a little limited. The latest breakfast was only eggs haunted and it was paid when we wanted eggs on the field. We learned. We generally were pleased, but some small details could disturb moral. We had a good experience in the interest of Aydin Brain, but with small improvements, a much better accommodation experience can be offered."

"We stayed 2 days in a excellent staff and the boss listening to the guests. The prices are correct, very hygienic and clean room, no beach, however a very wide castle, enough rooms for everyone, the cold water of the river Azmak mixes with the hot sea water, impressive sensation, I strongly recommend."

Baga Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel itself is nice and in a perfect location if you’re looking for peace and quiet. It’s also within walking distance of a charming town centre (about 20 minutes at a brisk pace). The rooms are on the smaller side, and the standard rooms without sea view are very dark, as they overlook a garden with a large tree blocking much of the daylight. Breakfast is good, but if you’re staying for a longer time it becomes repetitive as it’s exactly the same every day. This is also the first hotel we’ve been to where we were charged extra for eggs, sucuk, omelettes, or menemen. Coffee wasn’t included with breakfast, and no water was served either, which felt disappointing. The staff are helpful, but they often looked bored and were on their mobile phones a lot. The beach definitely needs more attention – bins weren’t emptied daily, and on several occasions we found glass and even a dead bird, with no sign that the area was being checked regularly. Perhaps this was because it was the end of the season, but basic cleanliness should be consistent all year round. Overall, the hotel is nice and has potential, but it does need some improvements to make the experience feel more polished and welcoming. "

"Akyaka itself is an amazing place. My wife and I stayed for a day. The room is very cozy, stylish and comfortable. It shines with cleanliness. There is a table and two chairs on the balcony. The linen is fresh and white. Hot water without interruption. Breakfast is portioned, not a buffet. Wi-Fi is fast."

"From hotel to the city center minutes 10-15 on foot. There is a parking lot. Minorities: - no elevator (fortunately we had the second floor); - cool water in the pool, perhaps because part of the day is in the shadow (for someone it 's plus, but we with kids love warmer); - No air conditioner in the bedroom, the air conditioner was only in the kitchen; - bad sound isolation (they were heard as women spoke in the neighborhood as a child cried in the night). Plus: - the presence of a washing machine and a dryer on the balcony (saved on the laundry); - The room is clean, spacious and light. There are two balconies on one of which breakfast is pleasant; - a beautiful view of the mountains out of the window; - a wonderful staff (separate thanks to the girl who shared the washing powder). "A convenient location - near the city, though in Akiak everything is close."
