"We stayed at this wonderful hotel in April. It was very clean, beautifully maintained and the staff went above and beyond, every single one of them made us feel welcomed and just couldn’t do enough. A huge thank you to Jose (manager) who looked after us so well. We only had breakfast but it was more than enough and had everything I would choose from a 5 star hotel and was replenished frequently. Beach was steps away and so had a nice gentle breeze. Our room was so spacious and even had a fridge which was appreciated. This is one of the best hotels in the area, the atmosphere was so relaxed that we can’t wait to book again. Thank you so much."

"From the moment you walk into the hotel, it feels as though you've entered the Alhambra itself. The architecture of this Iberostar is truly stunning: Arabic-inspired, colorful, with high-quality materials. The reception area is nothing short of majestic, with marble tiles, flowing fountains, wooden ceilings, and other details that leave a lasting impression. I booked a side sea view room for my parents, and they were given probably the best possible one: located on the 5th floor at the far end of the hotel. The view was far beyond “partial”: they could admire the sea, lush gardens, outdoor pool, and all the hotel terraces all at once. As for me, I made two separate bookings for a three-night stay. Since the same room wasn’t available for all nights, I was upgraded to a superior apartment, an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture. We opted for half-board, and the food was outstanding in both quality and variety. From fresh seafood to superfoods like chia seeds, the buffet offered something for every taste. This hotel truly stands out among the 4* properties we've been to across Europe and the world. The outdoor pool is impressively large, with plenty of sunbeds available. The entire property was immaculately clean, and the green spaces were greatly maintained. Parking was hassle-free, with numerous free spots available both in front and along the sides of the hotel. Another plus: water fountains are placed throughout the hotel, allowing guests to enjoy cold water at any time. Just across the street, you'll find a variety of shops, making it easy to pick up anything you need. Lastly, a mention to the entire hotel staff - from reception to restaurant service - who were consistently professional and kind."

"You could not find a more hospitable couple than Jose and Nieves. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so very welcome and that first impression was built on day by day. Nothing was too much trouble, from making sure we had the right coffee at breakfast to tilting the sun umbrellas so we had shade. Any lack of readily understood vocabulary on both sides was easily and charmingly made up for with Google Translate and good humour and we are confident that if we had had any problems during the stay then Nieves and Jose would have been only too happy to help. Our lovely room was absolutely spotless - and we mean spotless - which is very rare in our experience. The bed was very comfortable, the air con effective and our terrace generous and sunny in the afternoons/evening. If you like beautiful fresh fruit, then you’d love the breakfasts we have had here. Fruits (mangoes, plums and figs a real highlight), ham and cheese, yoghurt, bread, cake, boiled eggs, home grown olive oil and mango condiments - all available every morning. Not grand or fancy, but delicious and thoughtful. We have enjoyed our breakfasts here more than in many hotels. So overall, we would thoroughly recommend the Casa Colina del Sol to any couple who are planning to see properties and explore Torrox and surrounds as we have. A fab little B&B - wonderful value and such a friendly place. We are planning to return to stay here when next staying in the area. Very best wishes to Jose and Nieves meanwhile. Hotel la Casa

"Took my 93 yr mother to stay in La Casa and could not have had a more welcoming experience. The staff, Neil, Sarah and Karen could not do enough to make sure we enjoyed our time there, and went out of their way to make sure my mother had everything to make her stay comfortable. The room was great, very clean and fresh, with a fantastic view. Unfortunately due to other commitments we did not get a chance to book a meal at the hotel but talking to others it is definitely a restaurant worth a visit. We did take advantage to sit and relax on the lovely terrace, which also has a stunning view. Can not recommend this hotel enough. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
