"A lovely little pub nestled in the small village of Polbathic, East Cornwall. We stayed here for 1 night following a family funeral and we couldn't have picked a better place! We were met on arrival and showed to our room by our hosts who were just fantastic. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy with all the amenities you'd expect for an overnight stay. I particularly liked the fresh milk on request rather than the usual UHT pots which can taste rather plastic On returning from the funeral, there was a live band playing who were brilliant and certainly raised our mood The beds themselves were really comfortable although I found the pillows a little hard ( personal choice) whereas our friends found the perfect ( you can't win them all!!). Breakfast was lovely although, as there were 8 in our party, took quite a while to arrive, understandable considering they served all 8 of us together. A heartfelt goodbye by the hosts and we were on our way. Overall, this is a fantastic little place and we'd definitely stay here again albeit under different circumstances. Thank you to you all at the Halfway House for making our stay as comfortable as possible. It was really appreciated!"

"Superbly comfortable and clean beds and bedding. Accomodation adjusted to suit our current needs. Food sourced locally, including bacon, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms. Easy going breakfast service. Fresh filter coffee, tea and toast on request. Towels were fluffy and plentiful. Some toiletries ie handwash, shower gel were on hand. A quiet, battery recharging resort. We took beach chairs and towels. We were offered some laundry facilities, which was gratefully accepted."

"We stopped off here on the off chance of a drink and snack being after 2pm. Very cosy feel to this lovely pub. Landlady was very welcoming as were the customers at the bar. Kitchen was just closing but very happy to cook our snack. 8oz Steak medium rare sandwich and fries which was delicious. My better half had fully loaded fries and totally enjoyed. This lovely pub has a bar area and a restaurant area and outside garden. We need to go back as we wish to try there pies. So nice to chat to the owners a very welcoming local pub. Keep the good work up."

"A lovely pub with two large rooms, good extras like fridge, fan and oil radiator plus a great tasteful bath and strong shower. Add the view over the cove. However, the best thing was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, Gemma, Sally, Sophie and the lad who cooked a top class breakfast, followed by super dog tolerance. The food at breakfast and evening was really excellent with a good choice of beers, ciders, wines or spirits at reasonable prices. We would strongly recommend and we will really miss the views from the outside space on quiet sunny days and evenings. ."

"We recently returned from a wonderful stay at Westcroft guesthouse. Sarah is the most welcoming host. Her dogs both welcomed our little jack russell & he was thoroughly spoilt by Sarah. A hearty breakfast awaited us each morning with breathtaking sea views. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a stunning lounge adjoining it of which we had sole use, again with views of the sea. Westcroft Guesthouse truly is a hidden gem which we highly recommend."
