"I booked a classic double room, which was very small and the cleanliness was so-so. This room type doesn't have a private toilet or shower; everything is shared. Because I was in a rush when booking, I didn't carefully read the details, and after checking in, I found it very inconvenient, so I had to make do for one night. I hope my failed booking experience can serve as a warning to others!"

"Very disappointing, cold, noisy, lack of maintenance and outdated. Though the manager did replace a portable heater immediately, when we told him the existing one was broken and dangerous. The bedroom had a window above the bed with a missing wedge for the handle to close up against, had to roll up some cardboard and jam in against the handle to close the window tightly to stop the cold breeze blowing in. Taps in bathroom and kitchen required maintenance. Bathroom cold tap would randomly start running slowly or full flow at times, including in the middle of the night even though it had been turned off tightly."

"The location of motel is nice n clean also very convenient, there is a park behind and a short walk to lighthouse, Caroline Bay a longer walk. Just a short drive to Oxford resturant and we enjoy a good dinner there. Breakfast the next morning is at station cafe beside the train station… there are also small shopping shops around although is a Sunday."

"My wife and I stayed in apartment 2 on the 27th November. We were pleasantly surprised by the immaculate condition of this apartment . The apartment looked as though it had just been refurbished and was ultra clean . The beds are very comfortable. The host was extremely helpful and pleasant. This motel is situated close to the CBD . We would definitely stay here again ."

"Clean and tidy, but the soundproofing is so-so. You can hear your neighbors talking very clearly. Most of the rooms are on the second floor, so you have to climb stairs."

"First, the soundproofing was poor; I could clearly hear other rooms closing in the hallway, which woke me up in the morning. I could barely tolerate it, but what was unbearable was a very loud buzzing sound in the room. I called the hotel front desk to report the buzzing and asked if they could come and check it. The staff member who answered apologized and said he wasn't at the hotel, which was a ridiculous attitude. Then I asked if I could change rooms, and only then did he send someone to check. However, the person who came was a restaurant staff member who couldn't find the source of the sound and refused to change rooms, saying there were no rooms available. So we had to sleep with noise-canceling headphones all night… I only give 2 stars for the excellent service from the front desk staff at check-in. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it."

There was a couple of little extras that I haven’t seen in other motels, like magazines to read, nice toiletries that made this motel an awesome stay. Most definitely will come back."

"Just a reminder the reception will close at 8pm. Booked a lot of hotels during the whole journey so didn’t read the booking details carefully and didn’t realize the reception closed at 8pm. So we need to call the hotel when arrived. Location is good. Facility is good. Basically got everything we need. A simple kitchen is included."

"Great central location, only about a 5 minute walk into town or down to the bay/beach, the room was well presented and clean, plenty of parking available, the staff were really friendly and helpful with local recommendations, and made me feel very welcome. Would 100% stay here again."

"We have stayed here at Baywatch Motor Lodge several times previously & will definitely be back in the future. We stayed in a ground floor studio over looking Caroline bay. Had a epic sunset & equally stunning sunrise the next morning. Great size room with 2 super comfy chairs to relax in that evening. Very clean & great hospitality from owners Ray & Debbie. Thanks again Ray & Debbie."
