Gakyil Thimphu ★★★
"It was great on an overall scale, I loved the food in there. People were really kind and humble, helped us whenever required."
Hotel Shantideva ★★
"Very good location, rooms are simple but very spacious and equipped. Have WiFi, how water, breakfast was included too. It was very kind of them to change my dates of stay as my plans changed, so they are very flexible too. I’d stay there again."
CityHotel, Thimphu ★★★★
"Excellent stay ! wonderful rooms and courteous staff ! absolutely lovely stay ! stayed with family. Would definitely recommend due to its proximity to market and cleanliness. Breakfast buffet was delicious"
Khamsum Inn ★★★
"THE HOTEL IS SITUATED VERY NEARBY TO THIMPU ,BHUTAN AND TO MAIN CITY CENTRE AND VERY EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL THE RESTAURANTS , GENERAL STORES , BANKS , ETC . THE HOTEL STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD IS VERY NICE AND TASTY."
Hotel Mayto ★★★
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and had a very beautiful view of the nature."
Bhutan Boutique Residency ★★★
"The best hotel in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The service is excellent, the rooms are large and clean, and the staff goes above and beyond. It was truly the best stay I've ever had. I encourage everyone to experience this wonderful hotel and try the breakfast they offer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Pelyang Boutique ★★★★
"This hotel is neat and clean and the service is decent as well. However they do not have any generator/power back up and unfortunately there was a power outage one if the nights we were there and had to spend half the night without any power/air conditioning. It was a horrid experience. The other downside is that they don't serve breakfast after 9 am which is ridiculous. We are leisure travelers and hate to be hurried when we are on vacation. We were hoping to wake up late and have a late breakfast at around 9:45 and got a rude shock when we found out that we had to eat before 9am. Also all their breads/ parathas are made of maida instead of atta which I found terribly unhealthy."
Kisa Villa ★★★
"Very off side out of city. Brakefirst is only one item. Buffet brakefirst is not arrange. This hotel out of city."
Ludrong Hotel ★★★
"It’s was decent distance with. Good atmosphere. and clean room, with value for money. No noise level. The service was good with adequate amenities"

Yarkay Thimphu - Ihcl SeleQtions
"Our recent trip to Bhutan for SARCO event. We stayed at Dusit Hotel in Thimphu which is in the main town. One of the most luxurious city hotel at very reasonable rate. The rooms were quiet, warm and comfortable. Sound insulated is what the manager there said and yes it is. Foods were just finger licking and the staffs with their services are not even questionable, but then praise. We enjoyed every bit of our 4 nights stay. Our special thanks to Mr. Yugel, the sales manager at Dusit Hotel, who took such good care of us the entire time. He even came to receive us at the airport regardless of Sunday which was his weekend holiday and also our different flight timings must have kept him waiting from morning till evening for our flights to land. Some of us were in the morning flights and some in the evening. Mr. Yugel came to assist us personally in our every need. Our event hall set up was unbelievably beautiful in high standard. He was quick in arranging everything that we needed and which were of last minute requests. Sorry for that Yugel. He even became our guide on the last day and walked us through the town till the shopping craft bazzar. He also treated us with the local foods at that street. The foods were so good that we actually wanted the same foods to be delivered for our dinner at the hotel too. Unfortunately, they couldn’t as the sellers were selling the foods on foot carrying on their back in their heavy bags and stays away from town area. And Yugel told us that, those sellers (all women) make living by doing such clean business. He said that he usually eat from such on-foot sellers as that will help them to earn even if it is little. I couldn’t stop admiring his kind gestures to support those sellers. His hospitality gestures, his charming and deceiving smiles, and his down to earth personalities made us promise him that we will choose to stay and host our events at the same hotel every time it happens in Bhutan as long as he is there. And I recommend the visitors visiting Bhutan to stay in Dusit Hotel for the best experience. Try reaching out to him for the queries. Thank you Yugel & Team of Dusit Hotel."
Hotel Taktsang
"Located in the Capital city of Bhutan and bang in the city centre. Provides all the comforts and were happy for the one night stay . The breakfast was really good and the dinner was awesome with fish curry (fish fry). This is a very modern hotel with RFID access in the lift as well as in rooms."
33 Soksoom Centre for Well-Being and Happinesss
Phuntsho Khangsar Hotel
"This very nice hotel was selected for me by my Thimpu tour planner. It is clean, has comfortable beds and is quiet. It is located on a hillside facing the giant Buddha statue which is lovely lit up at night. Restaurant on the top floor has delicious food prepared to order (I'm a "one chili" person and loved their spinach datshi). The hotel is on a busy road (but you don't hear traffic). It not walkable to the town of Thimpu. Rooms have excellent heat you can control tho I did have some difficulty maintaining a warm shower (apparently an issue they are addressing)"
The Gochukha Hotel
"I really enjoyed while staying at gochukha hotel and all facilities are awesome. Meals that have served by hotel are very delicious. All staff and manager are very kind hearted la. I had a good experience and enjoy the food and the facilities."
Hotel Khang Residency
"The friendliest place one can start a holiday. Quaint, personal, quiet and very very private. Superb. The only minor hitch being communication. Not very fluent in english. Speak slowly, for them to understand what you need. Once done, everything is EXCELLENT"
The Pema by Realm
"Stayed here for 5 nights and was blown away by the excellent service. Although officially 4 stars, the service and rooms were more 5 stars. Staff worked hard to ensure that my stay was comfortable. Food at the hotel was also good. Rooms were very modern and comfortable. A true gem of a local hotel that far exceeds expectations!"
The Capital Hotel Thimphu
"We had an excellent stay at the capital. The room was excellent with proper hygiene maintained. The chef was too good had lot of food options in vegetarian. Last but not the least the owner of this property was very courteous and was always ready to help. I would highly recommend the stay here"
Norbu Healing Hotel
Access Suites
"One of the best new luxury property in Thimphu. The rooms and furnishing was perfectly done and aesthetically pleasing. The food is all organic and healthy. Staffs were amazing, polite and courteous. If you are a tourist in Thimphu easily choose to stay at the Access Suites."
Zhiwaling Ascent
"Zhiwaling delivers a wonderful modern spin on traditional architecture, with spacious and comfortable rooms, huge windows, and lovely common spaces. Also has the best breakfast (and coffee!) we enjoyed on a week-long trip in Bhutan. A great place to stay in Thimphu."
Norkhil Boutique Hotel & Spa
"I was in the trip with friends, i can tell you, it's amazing place in thimphu. View is amazing from the balcony. Food also so much yummy. I highly recommend to stay here."
Le Méridien Thimphu
"A flawless stay, marked by flawless hospitality & a flawless start to the journey across Bhutan is perhaps the best I’d sum up my experience at the Le Meridian, Thimphu. Post arrival in Bhutan, we were to travel to Thimphu first to begin what was our maiden trip across this beautiful country. As we commenced the road trip from Paro to Thimphu, we were met with some picturesque & enchanting views en route in the form of the mighty eastern himalayan ranges as well as a multitude of streams & rivulets flowing through the vast landscape, breathing life into every nook & corner of what was a fascinating start to the ride to Thimphu. Alas, we were welcomed into one of the major settlements in Bhutan & its capital, Thimphu. After navigating our way through the bustling streets of Thimphu, we made our way to the hotel, Le Meridian. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken aback by the hospitality we were treated to at the check in & were certain at that point of the fact that we were in for a great experience, befitting the name & the brand. The sprawling indoors of the hotel, combined with the joyful & the service driven attitude of the people in charge at the hotel immediately transported us into a space of ease & that of utmost comfort. The room was spacious, clean & offered us everything we were looking forward to on our maiden trip to Thimphu. We decided to spend the rest of the day at leisure & had a chance to explore the delightful looking indoor heated pool with a good hour long session enjoying the warmth of the heated pool followed by a relaxing session at the in house spa, availing Ms. Rincho’s services for a 60 minute deep tissue massage. A special mention to the entire team in charge for ensuring provisions in the form of heated sheets & heating units installed in the treatment room. The food was delicious & served in the most incredible ambience imaginable at their in house restaurant. Special mention to the F&B members Deki Yangden, Kelder Yoezer, Sital Soberi, Indra Adhikari, Jigme Lhendup, Kezang Bida, Nguyen Choki & Ms. Tshering among others for their exceptional service day in and day out. Mr. Ganesh, the head chef is very accommodating of all special food requests & even otherwise, doles out the most incredible of dishes in what was a never ending food fiesta. All in all, a very satisfying stay & undoubtedly, a lifelong memory. Also, a short walk down from the hotel towards either ends will lead to a very active & a busy market area in mainland Thimphu & a walk down the same street will guarantee a satisfying shopping experience with decent dining options as well."
Druk Hotel
"All perfect and special thanks for all staff for being very kind and helpful.... i will be back in July for sure"
