Gakyil Thimphu ★★★
"It was really wonderful experience of staying for more than two weeks. All the supports were given by the reception executives as well as restaurant and room services."
The Pema by Realm ★★★★
"A beautiful and luxurious hotel in the hills above Thimpu, but still within walking distance to the center. Perfect service, delicious breakfast. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a distinct buthanese style. All the rooms include a kitchen. Everything is delicate and clean and smells good at this place. We stayed at Pema By Realm for 4 days in the beginning of August 2026 and would love to come back."
Hotel Mayto ★★★
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and had a very beautiful view of the nature."

Lemon Tree Hotel, Thimphu ★★★
"Outstanding Stay, Service and Hospitality I recently stayed at Lemon Tree Hotel, Thimphu, and had an excellent experience. The hotel is conveniently located, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained. The food quality was very good, and the staff members were polite, attentive, and efficient. A special appreciation goes to the Hotel Manager, Mr. Dhirendra Singh, for his exceptional hospitality and personal attention. He regularly checked on our comfort and ensured that all our requirements were promptly taken care of. The excellent service and genuine care shown by the entire team made our stay memorable. I would highly recommend Lemon Tree Hotel to anyone travelling to Thimphu."
Pelyang Boutique ★★★★
"The behaviour of the staff is very bad towards the guests... they pay more attention to guests from usa or other foreign countries but to guests from india they behave very poorly. They cancelled my spa session without notice when i had taken appointment one day before .. qnd it was cancelled because they were taking session for someone from usa. I waited at the spa for 15 mins .. called them out .. noone responded. Later they called and informed me that they have only 1/2 hr for spa as they ahve other appointment and were blaming me that i didnot come in time.. whoch was a lie ...At the buffet.. they are busy helping the guests from usa .. and for guests from india they ask to be seated qt the corner seat. I faced this ****** only in pelyang boutique hotel.. otherwise the whole of bhutan were very warm towards us. It was really disappointing experience to stay at this hotel... i will never recommend this hotel to anyone."

Yarkay Thimphu - Ihcl SeleQtions
"Our recent trip to Bhutan for SARCO event. We stayed at Dusit Hotel in Thimphu which is in the main town. One of the most luxurious city hotel at very reasonable rate. The rooms were quiet, warm and comfortable. Sound insulated is what the manager there said and yes it is. Foods were just finger licking and the staffs with their services are not even questionable, but then praise. We enjoyed every bit of our 4 nights stay. Our special thanks to Mr. Yugel, the sales manager at Dusit Hotel, who took such good care of us the entire time. He even came to receive us at the airport regardless of Sunday which was his weekend holiday and also our different flight timings must have kept him waiting from morning till evening for our flights to land. Some of us were in the morning flights and some in the evening. Mr. Yugel came to assist us personally in our every need. Our event hall set up was unbelievably beautiful in high standard. He was quick in arranging everything that we needed and which were of last minute requests. Sorry for that Yugel. He even became our guide on the last day and walked us through the town till the shopping craft bazzar. He also treated us with the local foods at that street. The foods were so good that we actually wanted the same foods to be delivered for our dinner at the hotel too. Unfortunately, they couldn’t as the sellers were selling the foods on foot carrying on their back in their heavy bags and stays away from town area. And Yugel told us that, those sellers (all women) make living by doing such clean business. He said that he usually eat from such on-foot sellers as that will help them to earn even if it is little. I couldn’t stop admiring his kind gestures to support those sellers. His hospitality gestures, his charming and deceiving smiles, and his down to earth personalities made us promise him that we will choose to stay and host our events at the same hotel every time it happens in Bhutan as long as he is there. And I recommend the visitors visiting Bhutan to stay in Dusit Hotel for the best experience. Try reaching out to him for the queries. Thank you Yugel & Team of Dusit Hotel."
Bhutan Peaceful Residency and Spa
"This was a very special place to stay. All the staff were welcoming and all went the extra mile to ensure you had a great stay. The attention to detail was very special, everything was so wee organised. A special moment was thd lovely chat we had with one of the staff about her life and her hope for the future"
Druk Hotel
"Great stay at the Druk, Thimphu. The rooms were quite spacious, F&B options included Indian veg and the staff were wonderful."
Norbu Healing Hotel
Phuntsho Khangsar Hotel
"I saw rave reviews for this hotel on various platforms, and it truly lives up to its reputation. The owner kindly helped me book a ride; when he couldn’t get one, he drove me around personally for half a day as a free tour guide. He firmly refused any tip I offered. The hotel has stunning views, and I was very satisfied with the accommodation. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip. 在不同的平台都看到这家酒店的好评,选择了之后发现名不虚传。老板费心的帮我叫车,没叫上之后他自己开车免费当了我半天的导游,最后给小费的时候坚决不收。酒店风景非常好,住宿条件也很让我满意,下次一定还会继续入住的。翻译成英文。"
Thimphu Central Hotel
"Very well-run hotel in downtown Thimphu. Good food and spacious room. Close to lots of shops/services. Quiet at night."
Access Suites
"One of the best new luxury property in Thimphu. The rooms and furnishing was perfectly done and aesthetically pleasing. The food is all organic and healthy. Staffs were amazing, polite and courteous. If you are a tourist in Thimphu easily choose to stay at the Access Suites."
Norkhil Boutique Hotel & Spa
"Lovely hotel to stay in when visiting Thimphu. Welcoming & helpful staff, huge bedrooms with fantastic views of the valley. I was there with a small curated group and all of us had a good stay and sleep. I think a couple had a massage in the Spa too after a long day sightseeing."
The Gochukha Hotel
"The hotel serviare great, and the facilities too. But sometimes water and electricity problem. Ajeidjdndjakdndnyfujffhchvjcfffydyfugkvhchfhfchcgjvhgifygichfjvufyfighcubjcygicyf uh juchcufd egg ggchvcjg (sorry got no words la it was great and thank you la)"
Zhiwaling Ascent
"To start with the positive, the rooms are beautiful and most of the employees of the place very friendly and helpful. However, the one point which made the entire stay unenjoyable in the end and created a very bitter taste was how they ripped us off with the dinner charges. First, they never mentioned the price of the dinner to us and their menus consisted just of a set menu with no prices whatsoever (which made us believe that the dinner was included as it was the case for other hotels in Bhutan). The drinks menu had prices which was clear and easy to handle and we got charged our drinks amount fair and square upon checkout. After we have checked out and left the hotel long time ago, our tour operator all of a sudden informed us that the Zhiwa Ling reached out to them with an insanely overpriced bill for missed dinner payments - around 50 USD per person per dinner. At this point, we were willing to pay but not that much. Not only was the food at best mediocre, also my fiance who had problems with her stomach didn't order all of the courses on the pre set menu. When notifying the hotel manager of the short coming of not mentioning the prices beforehand, they agreed that they made the mistake but sticked to their narrative of us having to pay anyway. When we pointed out that we didn't have all of the 4 courses in all dinners, they came up with the ridiculous excuse that only the main is to be paid (since that was the only course we both had during both dinners) as the other courses are coming for free next to it. Bottom line, just inacceptable managerial behavior which just left us feeling ripped off and not at all appreciated. For the future travelers, please just order starter, soup and dessert as they should be for free and skip the main which is in no way worth 50 USD. We also spoke to a hotel manager of a different luxury hotel in Paro who confirmed that the costs for food are basically near 0 in Bhutan."
33rd Executive Suites
"Very polite and humble staffs, had an amazing experience, very professional attitude and always ready to help and assistance."
Le Méridien Thimphu
"The hotel has an amazing location in the city center. The buffet breakfast very good and the lounge food and beverages were a delight for us. Room was spacious and with mountain view. Great atmosphere and fabulous associates welcomed us. Many thanks to Ngawang Choden, front desk manager, for the beautiful gift she presented to me. Also thanks to Karma Choki and all the associates that made our nights specially unforgettable: the chef Serven and Mon Maya, Acharja, Amrita Rai and Kezang Bida who exceeded our expectations with their love and kindness."
Hotel Valley Thimphu
"A good simple hotel in Thimpu , Bhutan . Hotel doesn’t feel or look like any other Ramada hotels that I have stayed before in other places . Looks like a down- graded type of Ramada Hotel . Rooms were spacious , clean and comfortable. Breakfast and buffet dinner didn’t have variety . Quality could had been better . Service and hospitality is top notch . The porch at entrance has over grown lawn with weeds in it. The hotel is still worth staying . I would recommend it ."
