"From the moment I walked in, I felt that the courtyard was a different world. There were vegetation, flowers and fruit trees everywhere. I even asked the landlady if I could pick ripe apricots. The landlady told me to pick them if I liked. She was very kind. In the afternoon, we saw some children experiencing an activity. They said they were making Xinjiang intangible cultural heritage stamp printing. The landlady also invited our group of friends to participate. After the activity, she also asked us to take our works back. These ethnic patterns are so pretty. The room is beautifully decorated. I really like the upgraded room type given by the landlady. It feels so dreamy. I got up the next day and had breakfast. During my trip, apart from the large hotels, only this B&B had a relatively rich breakfast, with rice noodles, eggs, milk, bread, and fruits. The rice noodles tasted very good. It's a pity that the itinerary in Xinjiang is already scheduled. If I had time, I would have stayed one more night. Many places in the homestay are suitable for taking photos and posting on WeChat Moments. It's so unique. I forgot to mention that the fruit wine they brewed themselves is delicious."

We booked two rooms, and they should have two side dishes, but they only gave us one. For five of us, the quantity was definitely not enough, so we asked the boss's mother to make two side dishes, and ordered two steamed buns, which cost an extra 10 yuan. I know that steamed buns are 2 yuan each and are not included in the breakfast. But they charge an extra 6 yuan for side dishes, which is not much, but it doesn't make a good impression. It may be because the owner of the B&B was not there, otherwise I don't think he would do it this way (seeing other comments that the owner also gave away fried chicken, he must not be reluctant to give away one or two side dishes). Overall it was a very satisfying experience."

Tekes Rezen Mingyu Hotel (Bagua Cheng Taiji Tan)
"Let's start with the positives: the room was very clean with excellent natural light, and the bedding was super comfortable. It even had an 'XiaoDu' smart speaker, which was a cute touch, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and always greeted me politely when I came and went. The parking lot was spacious. For around 300+ yuan a night, it definitely offered good value for money. Now for the drawbacks: First, the location is a bit out of the way. While Bagua City isn't huge and it's only about a five-minute walk to Taiji Altar, it's really hard to hail a taxi as they generally don't come to this area, so you have to pay extra to use Didi. Second, unfortunately, there's no mini-fridge in the room, which at this price point, is something I'd expect. Third, although there's a washing machine, availability is quite limited. The wash and dry cycle wasn't very effective; my clothes weren't completely dry even after more than an hour of drying. The laundry area seemed quite chaotic and unsupervised, with clothes just piled up. Someone even ended my drying cycle prematurely. I hope the hotel management can improve this. As a hotel recommended on Xiaohongshu for a stopover in Tekes, the hardware and attention to detail still need some work."
