"The Villa de Mazamet has beautiful rooms and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful 4-night stay here in September, 2024. Mazamet has some interesting hiking and biking opportunities, including the hike of La Passarelle de Mazamet. The breakfasts were the best we had during our 17-day trip to France."

"Convenient for parking. By the bed practically stuck to the window is not practical. The soundproofing is non-existent. The cleaning staff who speaks very loudly in the morning right in front of the window woke us up. Cheap hotel but without comfort."

"We booked 6 months in advance for a 2 night stay with our 2 young children. Only a few weeks before our stay the hotel cancelled our booking. The reason they gave us was that there had been an issue with the booking system and that they had now taken a private booking for the whole property. A convenient excuse, perhaps... They offered limited to no apology and no useful help to find alternative accommodation (they sent links to a few unsuitable options, including airbnbs). Given the short notice, other suitable accommodation was either booked up or charging high last minute prices. In the end we had to cancel our visit to Gaillac. I am writing this review as a warning to others considering booking here. The most basic thing a hotel should do is to honour bookings it has taken, particularly those made well in advance, and it seems this hotel cannot be relied on to do this."

"Quite a surprise, this small 2* hotel really deserves more than 2 stars. The room quality is on a par with an Ibis , very friendly - full marks to Jamal who manages this little hotel next to the racetrack and aerodrome. Makes you feel very welcome. The restaurant is simple, wholesome, and well prepared. I have stayed in four star hotel that don’t match up to this. It is clean, rooms comfortable and welcoming and that is essential above all else for a hotel. Well done."

"We have a number of criteria when choosing a hotel. Large bed, AC, swimming pool, parking, kettle. Ideally fridge and safe. We knew this hotel didn't have the latter 2 but it should have had the rest. However the pool was not yet open and the AC seemed to be absent, unfortunate as the room was very hot even with the window fully open. The room was basic and the bathroom tiny. Two bulbs were not working when we arrived, yes they were replaced but people should check these things. However the bed was comfy and there was good hot water. Parking outside was easy. We liked the breakfast and being able to eat outside on the terrace. The hotel is 10 minutes from Albi centre, an easy walk with pharmacy and supermarket nearer than that so it's a good base. Staff were friendly. We didn't try the restaurant as it was closed on Sunday so we went to eat in town."
