"For the past few days, I've booked rooms through Ctrip without ever needing a deposit. However, the Taihu Hotel charged a 200 RMB deposit. When we checked out, they said the deposit would be refunded via WeChat upon return of the room key, without explaining what was used or what was missing. We didn't leave the hotel until half an hour after handing over the key. That morning, three of the four of us had diarrhea after breakfast, and I even went to the front desk to tell them to report it to the hotel owner and restaurant to pay attention to food safety. We didn't make any demands. But when we got home, we found that 2 RMB had been deducted from the deposit, without any explanation, making the total 198 RMB. To be honest, the Taihu Hotel's facilities are excellent; the price, environment, and location are all top-notch. However, the management and service need improvement."
