Guests will walk up three stairs to access the main entrance of the property. You will then walk up a flight of stairs to your unit. Unit #3 is on two floors. On the main floor is the kitchen, living room, bedroom (queen bed), ensuite bathroom and large private front porch. You will walk up another flight of stairs for the master bedroom (king bed) and ensuite bathroom. We basically built a brand-new house inside an old one. The house was taken down to studs and rafters. Walls, bathrooms, and a stairway were all moved and a large fireplace was removed to open up and create a huge living space on both the main-floor and lower level. The home has been remarkably and tastefully decorated with unique mid-century-modern furniture and art pieces that were currated from all over the United States. (For the non-initiated, "mid-century-modern" (MCM) refers to a movement in interior design, product design, graphic design, and architecture that was popular from 1945-1970. The MCM design aesthetic is modern in style and construction. It is typically characterized by clean, simple lines and generally does not include decorative embelishments.)Outside the walk-out, lower-level, a paver-patio area provides a private oasis for relaxation and enjoyment. This patio was built with brick (saved from the former front patio) and limestone (from the fireplace that was removed during renovation). If all-the-way outdoors isn't your cup-of-tea, enjoy fresh air from the comfortable screened-in porch off of the main-floor living area. Nestled in the wooded hills of the Bluehills neighborhood, this property is a 15 minute walk to the KSU sports complex and Bill Snyder Family Stadium. It's just up the Manhattan Ave hill from the main KSU campus and amazingly close to the Kansas Department of Agriculture and NBAF. Golfers will like that Manhattan Country Club is just a stone's throw away and Colbert Hills is a straight shot west on nearby Kimball Ave. Tuttle Creek lake is 3 miles north on nearby Tuttle Creek Blvd. Aggieville, Manhattan Town Center, and Dowtown Poyntz are all just minutes away by vehicle.
