2-Star Hotels in Riverside County

The hotel location is tucked into the woods with pine trees. All the staff members are super helpful and nice. They are also knowledgeable about private shuttles (Mr. Les). The bed is so comfortable that I slept like a log. The restaurant serves excellent mouth-watering cheeseburgers. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Idyllwild.

Great stay in this charming hotel with very kind staff. It was super clean. The kitchen is very well équiped and the food shop in the shopping mall is great. The outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi are great as well.

Facilities rated a 2/5 as there was essentially no WiFi signal in our room (#133, near the spa pool). Verizon signal in room was a black hole for some reason. Outside of room and other locations around PS was fine. Room showed age, carpet pulling back from spike ***** transition to kitchen tile left exposed spikes that could puncture feet. A/C in room loud. TV very dated, no smart option with apps to use my streaming accounts. Cable meh. Staff was super friendly and tried to be responsive to no WiFi, but nothing apparently they could do. Location was excellent on the north end of downtown, short walk to coffee shops and restaurants.

The hotel is a transit station, motel, surrounded by a lot of gas stations, the price of gasoline is high and low, the room is clean, the facilities are OK, the new ones, the breakfast is OK, the American breakfast, not very rich, but simple to eat , parking location

I was expecting a rather poor experience based on some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised that the room was recently remodeled. Also everything in the room looked new expect for the shower on-off lever which was strange. Anyway, everything was good but I will note the room was very small but considering the low price I’m not complaining.

This little family owned hotel was a real gem! Stopped by here on the way from SoCal to Arizona and we were the only family staying in the whole place so it was super quiet. The room had a fridge and microwave which is more than can be said for most big motel chains like Motel 6. The Indian owner was friendly and actually gave us a discount when we got there (I have no idea why). It’s a teensy bit more off the highway than some of the motel chains which is probably why it was less frequented but overall I would say worth the 5 min extra drive!

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. It was good value for money. Rooms face out to the parking lot but it was pretty quiet. No amenities really. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker. Also they have coffee in the lobby. Close to a really good diner (Elmer’s). I was just staying overnight on a business trip. It is pretty close to the airport. If you’re visiting Palm Springs to explore and do things outside of the hotel, this is a good option.

The motel was a very noisy place! The walls were very thin and our neighbors in every direction were always yelling and arguing. Even the people upstairs! That was at night. But it was every night! During the day it quieted down. I got the impression that the place was a ”by the week”, where people lived. Our impression of the town (Cathedral City/Palm Springs/ Rancho Mirage/etc.) was that it was very unfriendly. Everyone we encountered seemed to be stand offish and clicky. Not a friendly place at all. We will not be coming back for sure!

The room facilities are relatively clean, the location is good, and the transportation is convenient.
