2-Star Hotels in Cheboygan County

The location of the hotel is very good. The black beauty at the front desk is very friendly. My daughter said she wanted to live in a lake-view room, and she replied ”you deserve it”, and her daughter was happy. Free parking and free WiFi. It is worth mentioning that the breakfast place is on the first floor, facing Lake Huron, and there are dining tables and chairs by the lake. You can imagine how wonderful the breakfast feels.

Kudos to Kim for her gracious and courteous service at breakfast! She was awesome. Also thank you for the evening help with connecting the TV.

We stayed here because we went to mackinaw city for a Mackinac island trip with my family. My brothers and their children had other rooms in the hotel so we could all meetup. It would have not been our first choice because the reviews were terrible. I didn’t know what to expect but I see why my brothers and my mom booked the place. It has a pool and mini waterpark for the kids. The beds were not very comfortable and one of my favorite things about hotels is the hot water in the shower. The shower did not get hot. The carpet was old in that hallway. You can tell it is an older hotel but if you have kids you would bring them there for the pool and hot tub. We probably would not be back to this one because we prefer hotels with breakfast included and hot water. My family and their kids can stay at this one and I’ll go to another one next door or down the street. I will say the front desk lady was very nice and she knew almost everyone apart of our big family by the time I arrived.

The individual cabins were nice. The rooms were a little smaller than most hotels I've stayed in. A/C unit could've been a little cooler but luckily it wasn't scorching hot. There was no continental breakfast but there was coffee close by the receptionist and there were coupons for you to use at the local restaurants within walking distance. There was an Indoor Waterpark shared with other hotels in the area and it was good for the kids. The service overall was great! No complaints there. IF there was anything that I could complain about, it would be the WiFi. It wasn't great but it was good.... good enough to use but there were moments when the WiFi just lagged and kept on lagging. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I wouldn't mind staying here again but I wouldn't also mind staying somewhere else too as there were multiple hotels in the surrounding area.

Stayed just off peak season so had to check in at the office next door. Very cheerful receptionist who gave brilliant advice! View from property spectacular. Room price was low probably because of the season - just after Labor Day appears to be a prime time to stay in Mackinaw!

Our room was amazing! It was only a few steps from the beach and had a great view. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Okay, there are many hotels nearby. For the convenience of visiting Mackinac Island the next day, the price is also moderate.
