"The travel agency arranged this hotel so we didn't know the price tho. Our travel was for honeymoon, and the hotel staffs cerebrated us nicely and friendly. The checking out of the day we left early morning the hotel staffs gave us packs of breakfast. Thank you again for wonderful stays."

"Beyond excellent. This is by far the best lodge we stayed in in Namibia. "Queen Sophie" absolutely ruined us with her cooking, outstanding puddings and possibly the best toasted sarmie I have had! The other members of staff were friendly, full of knowledge of the local area, offered to book things for us and even made us a packed breakfast to go to Sossusvlei early. Irvin, even made sure our car tyres were ready for the trip. The rooms are beautiful and clean with their own porch, the pool looks exactly like the picture and has a great view. The range of wines suit every palate. Couldn't fault this at all. So relaxing! Big thanks to Schalk for our impromptu game drive and further tripping advice."

"This is really desert place so only desert around this place. Very impressive especially during evening when looking arriving darkness and the sky. After renamed now its name is Solitaire Mountain Lodge. After arrival we have got welcome drinks, also coffee was served. We stayed two nights in family room for 4 adults. Nice room, enough space, also kettle and coffee / tea set offered inside the room. The whole staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was for us absolutely enough, however adequate to the small size of this lodge and limited number of guests. even taking into account that the eggs dish is prepared following the exact order of each guest. There was instant coffee but it was the only one place we stayed during our one month trip in Africa where three types of milk were served (regular, almond and oat). And finally the most impressive – the meals served for lunch and dinner. For each day we have got different menus. We were able to order the meals between official lunch and dinner hours service, so we have got both lunch and dinner menu. We were asked if if we don't like some ingredient or spice, or if they shouldn't add something because everything is cooked on site. And these ingredients were added in really tasty and balanced way. So maybe strange – but in the middle of the desert, in the place where everything must by ordered by the staff in advance, we have got absolutely the best meals."

"A must visit. This was one of the most unique travel experiences you could have anywhere in the world let alone Namibia. We recommend going to enjoy the property and home vs trying to make the day trips to dunes (stay closer for one night for that) Fidel and the team was incredible. Everything was over and above well stocked with endless options. It’s one of a kind - go!"

"Room. Towel had two huge holes in. Toilet mat was torn. Handbasin cold water tap broken. Shower cold water tap broken. One wall was cover with open cement patches. At 6am the aircon blasted ice and water on us. Dinner. My hamburger arrived cold from the kitchen. The T bone that was ordered was sent back to the kitchen due to poor quality meat. Food presentage substandard. The waiters don't know to serve food over the right shoulder and remove the plate over the left shoulder. Steaks where served without a steak knife. When the one staff member was informed that the Tbonesteak was of a poor quality she just laughed and walked away. Breakfast. The waiters did not inform the kitchen staff that certain food plates had to be replenished. Our experience was that the staff had no support to guide them on how to address our complaints."
