Hotel la Riva ★★★
"There's no air conditioning in the room on the top floor. The portable, noisy air conditioner in the room doesn't work either. The room temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and stuffy. You can't open the window because there were so many disgusting cobwebs and spiders right next to it. This is obvious neglect and a long lack of cleaning. There were also spiders in the room. The outside was filthy. Tons of cobwebs, trash, and a general mess. The terrace was filthy and dirty. Pluses were the good food and the location by the lake. We have very fond memories of this stay while traveling on our way to vacation. Simply a nightmare! We wanted to rest after the journey and regain our strength for the journey. We had a sleepless night in terrible conditions. I do not recommend it. We strongly advise against this place. Avoid this place. P.S. You can't access the hotel parking lot in the evening because the hotel is located on a pedestrian street. You have to pay extra for city parking. There is no staff at the reception in the evening and there is no way to file a complaint."
Hotel Azur Premium ★★★★★
"I haven’t felt this good at a hotel in a long time."
Club218 Wellness Apartments ★★★
"Unfortunately the reception is only open 9-17 and also no one could be reached by the provided phone number, otherwise great spot to stay, not too far from bus and train and really spacious apartments"
Balaton Colors Beach Hotel ★★★
"It was good stay the hotel near to the Balaton lake."
Hotel Kentaur ★★★
"Absolutely first class hotel. Family run. Spotlessly clean. Spacious room. Gorgeous private gardens. This is how a hotel should be run and such hotels are hard to find. I think we will no longer stay in four star hotel chains but look for three star family run places. It's really good here."
Residence Hotel Balaton ★★★★
"We took 3 of our kids to Siofok this time and stayed in their suite, which is more like an apartment - about 100m2 of space: a spacious anteroom with access to one of the terraces, a large living room (2 full sofas with chairs) with a small bar area, from where you can get to the separate whirlpool room that itself has an exit to the second terrace running across all main rooms. A corridor leads from the living room to a wardrobe room, a small sleeping room (2 single beds), the bathroom (large, toilet, bidet, walk in shower), and the main sleeping room. The sleeping rooms, too, have access to the terrace. The suite was very warm - clearly the hosts are not compromising on comfort. The suite was neat and clean as well - great place to stay. The facilities are fabulous, too. The spa offers one big pool, a small baby pool, a whirlpool, and a smaller pool with whirls as well. There are several saunas (plus one ice pool) too. There is a cocktail bar, and the entire area is spacious enough never to feel crowded, even if the place is "busy". Breakfast and dinner are usually included in the room rates, and both offer a large variety of dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding, and so is the taste. You would come to this place for the food alone. Their selection of wines is very good and lets you explore Hungarian wines with pleasure. Last but not least - everybody is really, really hospitable and friendly, and very family oriented: most guests have kids, and the hotel also offers some kids' activities as well. This was a dream stay, and we will come back of course."
Villa Oliver 1 Siófok ★★★
"The beds are a disaster, with saggy mattresses. Breakfast is bad. Check-in is too complicated."
Hotel Yacht Wellness & Business ★★★★
"Perfectly lovely stay. Probably not as upmarket as the website makes out - a lot of the facilities feel like they haven’t been updated in 20 years or so. But all perfectly usable and clean, and staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful (and almost all spoke perfect English, and which was a pleasant surprise). Food options were good, with standard basics each evening but also more local specialties. Lots of variety of meals. Location was strong, with a lovely view of the lake and dock. About a 15 minute walk along to the seafront, though there were lots of hireable scooters outside which made it much faster. Hotel itself was very quiet during our mid-June visit, which was nice. Dining space was almost totally empty so we never had to wait. The “spa” is really just a medium pool with adjoining kids’ pool and hot tub. Perfectly pleasant but probably closer to a leisure centre experience than a luxury one. Don’t think there were ever more than six people in the pool at a time, including the two of us. However the steam rooms and sauna are only used a few days a week, so weren’t on for the duration of our stay, which was a bit disappointing. Bedrooms were basic but absolutely fine. A kettle might have been nice but maybe that’s just my British showing! Air con in the room was much appreciated; we had it on around the clock. I would definitely recommend the hotel, but would advise not to focus too much on the “four star” part of the name, and instead expect a more standard holiday package hotel experience. My only other note is that we were plagued with flies while out on the balcony in the evening. Not the end of the world and certainly not within the hotel’s control, but it was mentioned in passing during checkout that we could have asked for bug spray at reception - keep in mind if you have a lake view room!"
Reed Luxury Hotel by Balaton ★★★★★
"A very nice hotel. The guy at the front desk is very nice and enthusiastic. He speaks good English. Close to the seaside, easy to go and see the sea!"

Villa Oliver 3 Siófok
"The hotel looks nice in the photos. It's actually a hostel. We booked it for 11 days, arrived, and barely lasted a day. In reality, it's something like glamping, a hostel, or a tent. There's no service, and renovations are long overdue. And, as usual, they didn't refund my cancellation fee! We wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are a couple of decent hotels nearby; *********** is your friend."
Royal Mediterran
"Don’t bother unless you like paying a premium for a dirty dilapidated hotel. Firstly It’s not a 4 star hotel as it was advertised, we didn’t get the room we booked, it was filthy and dilapidated as per the pictures attached. I wanted to walk as soon as I arrived but was trapped with booking.coms cancellation policy. I will be avoiding using them again since they facilitate such false advertising. Even the taxi driver said it should be avoided. There are much better places in siofok for the same price or half the price. Don’t be fooled"
Janus Boutique Hotel & Spa
"The place was simply outsanding. Way over our expectatives. Aladín arranged everything for us and It was simply amazing. The place is extremely clean and tide. The rooms are amazingly decorated. So far the best room where I had slept. The Spa was awesome. Cannot avoid to say how great It was and how good was our stay was. Thanks for everything. I'd surely come back."
Perla
"The accommodation itself was very nice and spacious, unfortunately the beds were very old, the slatted frame was screwed together so it wouldn't break through and unfortunately very uncomfortable. The garden furniture was worn out or broken. In one room t"
