"Didn't have terribly high expectations, though we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Paid $150 or something for the apartment room which was massive. Had a full kitchenette which was very helpful, and the room was probably one of the cleanest hotels we've stayed at in Victoria. Staff were very good too, requested a portacot for our infant and they went out and brought a brand new one which was awesome. Will be back when we need to stay in Shepp again!"

"The room was immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were beautiful. The pillows were like bags of cement though they were so hard so i suggest taking your own pillow. We were allocated room 4 which is "tucked" away in a separate section of five rooms which was very hard to get in and out of if there were other cars parked there so i would specify that you do not want rooms 1 to 5, especially is you have a large vehicle which we do; a landcruiser. The rooms are serviced daily so if you're staying more than one night your room will still be attended to and teas, coffees, sugar,s biscuits replaced. We were given a 600 ml of milk which is very generous."

"Me and my partner stayed here for two nights arriving from Melbourne pretty much late at night early hours of the morning and the lovely receptionist was able to leave the room unlocked with the key and was very reasonable and understanding about our travels. The room was absolutely welcoming. Bathroom was clean and nicely set up only downfall. I didn’t prefer about it was just how big of the gap from the bathtub to the floor was that’s all but overall pretty good motel and if they had a long-term accommodation option, I would highly recommend probably coming back there today long-term."

"I stayed in Shepparton for business recently...This motel has the most gorgeous frontage. It is immediately welcoming to a traveller. Locally owned, you will receive great customer service at the desk. The rose gardens are exquisite and well-maintained. The grounds are well-maintained... the pool area is something special. Tall palms grow around the outside area of the pool, there are sun lounges and picnic tables under shelter. Outside the pool area there is a swing and a slide. The room is neat and dated ... but initial impressions are as one would expect. The bathroom size is really generous. The TV is not one of the latest TVs and for me that was a personal favourite as I knew how to use it. Sadly, my experience changed when I went to bed. Firstly the mattress and pillows were so firm that I was unable to sleep... I moved off the master bed to the single that was slightly better. The beds could really do with an upgrade. But to compound the issue I was having with the bed.... the next few rooms held people that were known to one another... .they decided to sit right outside of their rooms and talk- loudly. I tried to close them out ( god knows I needed to - the conversations were banal) but alas I could not. To give the motel some credit there is the pool area that was nearby that they could have moved to and continued to talk. They were so loud I could not sleep... I was struggling between being exceedingly uncomfortable and noise. The group continued until well after 1am because I could hear them discussing the time. So I only had a couple of hours sleep and stayed exhausted all day. If the motel changes the mattresses and pillows I would highly recommend it ( regardless of how rude my neighbours were) but... for now, the lack of sleep did me in."

"Stopped here for 2 nights. Manager was friendly and helpful. Room (deluxe king suite) was spacious and clean. The only downside was the pillows - like sleeping on a rock (so I borrowed one from a local friend). Heating worked well, good on a cold night."

"A good sized room with a cute kitchenette set up, updated bathroom, comfortable bed, chairs and table. There are a lot of power points around the room, too, which made charging devices easy. My photos are from after I'd stayed the night. It is an easy 10 minutes to walk to the main part of town, but very close (200m) to the Saturday morning parkrun start. The reception service was really lovely, and I'd happily stay here again."
