Kijani Hotel ★★★
"Great ambiance, got a seaside view room. I enjoyed working while soaking in the beautiful calming view. Great staff and amazing food choices. Good location for holiday or work away from the city."
The Majlis Resort ★★★★★
"Our stay at the Majlis Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering how much we paid. We booked some of the nicest rooms in the hotel and expected a level of service that matched the price, but that simply wasn’t our experience. One of the biggest issues was the restaurant. As vegetarians, we found there were very few options available, making meals frustrating throughout our stay. To make matters worse, many of the items listed on the menu were unavailable, and it seemed like the hotel was constantly sold out of food we wanted to order. The service was also consistently slow, which only added to the disappointment. That said, there were two staff members who truly stood out. Melony, who worked in the restaurant, was kind, caring, and clearly worked very hard despite the challenges around her. She always did her best to help. The biggest highlight of our stay was Samuel, the pool attendant. He was, without question, the best part of our experience. Samuel worked incredibly hard every day, was exceptionally caring toward every member of our family, and always had a warm, welcoming attitude. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and was genuinely one of the nicest people we met during our trip. He deserves recognition for the outstanding service he provides. Unfortunately, while a few exceptional employees made a positive impression, they couldn’t make up for the overall poor experience. For the amount we paid, we expected much better food availability, more vegetarian options, and a much higher standard of service."
Peponi Hotel ★★★
"It was my second time back to Peponi in a year and I loved every minute of it. There are few establishments in the world that can top this enclave of elegance, authenticity and personalized hospitality, where guests from around the world and locals sit side by side to watch the sun set and share tales of the day whilst listening to the lapping of the water. The food is fantastic (fresh fish that doesn’t get better), as are the views and location - right on the beach, yet next to the village - but it is the service and personal attention of both staff and management, that makes this hotel truly special. Each guest is welcomed and attended to in a way that few hotels can achieve today. The Korschen Family has truly built an institution that rivals the great hotels of the world but without the pomp and ceremony that usually go with that label. Without a doubt, my absolute favourite place to rest and rejuvenate!"
