As expected of Shangri La, the service was great and top tier. Told them we were celebrating a birthday and they gave us a room facing the river and even helped to decorate the room?! Super good service and location (near Lujiazui and walkable to Oriental Pearl Tower). Near the Shanghai Tower as well. Friendly staff and clean place. Highly recommend. Special thanks to Lynn, minnie and vivian for the card.

We stayed three night at above hotel. The location is on the quieter side of the city. The metro is one block away. Didi to most of the tourist spots are only 10 to 20 minutes away. .So it's very convenient to go to most of those touristy places. We stayed in a room with 2 beds for three people, and it is sufficient spaces for all 3 of us. The beds are firm, and the sheets are clean and starchy. The front desks are very friendly and helpful. A shout out for小張, she is very helpful, attentively, and give us a lot of useful informations, e.g. where is good place to eat. We definity will come back to this hotel when we visit Shanghai again . But comfy

The room was immaculate, and the overall environment was charming. It featured a kitchen, perfect for whipping up a quick breakfast. Its location right next to a shopping mall with a large supermarket was incredibly convenient! On the fifth floor, there's also an open-air garden offering breathtaking night views of Shanghai. Plus, I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite this time, which was incredibly comfortable. Thumbs up! 👍

I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Hyatt. The room was incredible. When I check in they wanted me to upgrade my room for a fee (about $45 US) but I figured, all the room have great views. I doesn’t matter if I had a city view. It was still incredible. The pool, spa, steam room and sauna were clean enough. Around the steam room there was a permanent pee odor in one of the showers. That should be improved. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of options. The hotel is big and the restaurant seems inadequate to handle this much people at a times. Maybe they could open another restaurant to handle peak hours. The room was clean and had a large number of amenities. The TV set is a bit too small for the room. This was a great stay. The Grand Hyatt is a good option is you want to stay near the bund.

Having stayed at numerous Ritz-Carlton properties across China, the Ritz-Carlton Pudong is the only one I've felt compelled to return to so swiftly after my initial stay. Our second visit was particularly special, as we brought along our most cherished family members to celebrate my mother's 60th milestone birthday there. It was truly the exceptionally positive first experience that immediately convinced my wife and me to entrust this significant life event for my mother to the Ritz-Carlton Pudong. This subsequent visit, true to form, did not disappoint. Before check-in, we contacted the hotel's Guest Relations department to explain our occasion and made a few modest requests regarding the birthday arrangements. The hotel staff were incredibly patient and meticulously arranged everything for us. A special commendation goes to Jerry and Jeremy from the hotel. On our arrival day, they had thoughtfully prepared a beautiful birthday bouquet to present to my mother. My mother was utterly moved by the hotel's genuine warmth and attention, almost to tears. A delicate mini birthday cake and a heartfelt handwritten card were also thoughtfully placed in our room. My mother exclaimed how truly thoughtful and caring it all was. ❤️ I truly believe an outstanding hotel is defined not merely by its prime location, opulent environment, or the sophistication of its room amenities. It is, more profoundly, about the dedicated and professional staff, exemplified by Jerry and Jeremy. They serve every guest with heartfelt sincerity, addressing even the smallest request with utmost professionalism and responsibility, ensuring every resident's needs are met. This genuine commitment profoundly touches guests, fostering a true sense of belonging – a feeling of being genuinely at home, truly valued, and deeply cared for. With such an exceptional and professional service team, we will undoubtedly and consistently choose the Ritz-Carlton Pudong for our future stays. Genuine sincerity always leaves a lasting impression!

This is an established four-star hotel, and its location perfectly suited my itinerary, so I decided to stay for several nights. The room service on the 11th floor was exceptionally professional, including turndown service and neatly folded bathrobes. While the facilities felt a bit dated, the professional service really stood out – something I always appreciate in a 4-star hotel or higher during my business trips. They even provided extra bottles of water when they noticed we had a child. Huge kudos to the staff on the 11th floor! Bed: The 1.8-meter bed had a perfectly firm yet soft mattress, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. Restaurant: The sunken restaurant, Q, had a distinct Southeast Asian ambiance. Value for money: Excellent. For a chain hotel, the pricing was unbeatable, and the superb location made it incredibly convenient to get around. Front desk service: The front desk service was also very professional, quick, and efficient – truly commendable. They also had several robots delivering food, and the elevators required key card access, which provided a full sense of security.

The building is around the corner of the main street. Amap again not accurate as there is another home inn but ours was home inn plus. The entrance was not welcoming as you need to take to level 5 for the lobby reception. Staff in front is also not welcoming. Cold interaction. No explanation nothing just check passport and hand over key card. Lobby has big sitting area. Gave water and coffee complimentary at lobby but only on the first day. The other 2 days it is not working or not turned on the coffee machine. Room was clean and equipped with smart hub you can ask the ”hey google” china equivalent to draw the curtains. Tv is huge and bed was comfortable. Location is quite central but walking to green line was 1km. Blue line was about 500m. I would not suggest if you have young kids or leg injury, lots of walking. It has shopping malls all around like times square. But to get to yuyuan or nanjing, didi ride would cost more 15 rmb one way. I was able to leave my luggage on last day as had late flight. Took didi to take maglev train journey to train station about 25mins. All in all, I would say see where you would like to base out, if you like nanjing bund area, proly stay over the river. But downtown shopping mall and nearer to the tower and sky scrapper, this is nearer.

GGuest UserOrange Hotel is one of my favorite hotels when travelling to China. This branch is near Line 6 - Pudian Rd Metro Station - exit 4. (Around 500m walking distance) There are many restaurants and convenient stores around so the location is really good for tourist. The hotel has some smoking smell and quite dusty as there are construction going on around. Hope they do some thorough cleaning up after the summer holidays peak to keep the hotel squeaky clean again.

MM861740****I booked online. After checking in and settling into the room, I was pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness. The view from the window was lovely, with green trees and Shanghai's classic red-brick houses in the background. While enjoying the AC and watching TV, I'd often glance up to see the trees swaying gently in the breeze, which brought a profound sense of peace and tranquility. Because the hotel is nestled within a residential compound, it was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a truly restful sleep. I woke up feeling completely refreshed in the morning. YYingyingdaijiarenkanshijieThe room was very clean, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was a bit small, but wow, the building is incredibly tall! A special shout-out to the turndown service, which replenished plenty of water (the room felt a little dry, so staying hydrated was key!) and cleared the trash. From the bathtub in my Magnolia room, I had views of Qiantan, Expo Park, Lupu Bridge, and Nanpu Bridge. From the desk, I could see Yaohan, Century Park (I believe), and beyond that, two extremely tall buildings (does anyone know what they are?). To see the Oriental Pearl Tower and the iconic 'Three-Piece Suit' skyscrapers, you needed to go to the 101st-floor lobby. At night, I also enjoyed a complete and magnificent panorama of the Bund and Yu Garden. The views from the 84th and 85th floors were excellent as well. Minibar beer and soft drinks were complimentary. However, snacks, chocolates, spirits, and wine were chargeable. The welcome fruit was a bit sparse – I actually had to use a Ctrip point to get it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. It motivates me to work hard, show my kids more of the world, and treat myself to such rewards again.

They tried to use a language translation program to help. That's what impressed me the most. I will come back for the service and recommend it to my friends who come to visit or work here. P.S. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transport. The amenities were good, though there was minor room for improvement in terms of variety.
