"We are a family of four from NYC that absolutely loved the hotel. We had no idea what to expect as accommodations are limited in August. The hotel staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were extremely clean and had plenty of hot water for four showers. The location couldn’t have been better…we were across the street from the beach. My husband said the Helles draft beer was well carbonated and best in class. We will be returning…"

"We had the most perfect stay with Casa Vela. They had a special Luna di Miele suite for us at the very top of the B&B overlooking the sea. The hospitality we received from Alessandro was unbeatable. The food at the wine bar café was excellent. Hands down the best freshly baked chocolate croissant we have ever had. All of the staff were lovely, Natale took excellent care of us for our nightly aperitivo and digestivo."

My room had very bad sound proofing with the next door bedroom and bathroom, but it was spacious and attractive. No bedside lights, although you could control the main lights from the bed."

"Modern and clean, pretty nice common area and great location steps from the beach. But no view from the room. Tiny with no place to put luggage, no place to put things in the bathroom. Great air conditioning. Very pricey compared to what you get for your money. Not flexible on check out if you want to stay longer. Would not stay again."

"BEWARE! This man is operating a dark and deceitful business. The facility is run down and has many safety hazards. Rooms are small, dirty and smell foul. Restaurant is in violation of many health codes and the employees are treated like indentured servants. Aldo pretends to not speak English. He does. Aldo pretends that they have no connection and insists on cash which they do not provide a receipt. He gives the cash to the little man in the back who takes it off site immediately. For sure they are evading reports and taxes in their own country. Once you are checked in prepared to be ignored for the rest of your stay. You are on your own without any services and if you make any inquiry into your reservation agreement the only solution he offers is “if you don’t like it here then you can leave” and he laughs and walks away. No breakfast was provided though we paid for them in advance. No shuttle service and no parking. The best part of Scilla is how often the train comes to take you away from this god forsaken place."

"Exquisite kindness and professionalism welcome you in this fantastic b&b on the sea. Well-treated, clean, and a mouth-open affair. Sleep with the noise of waves is an experience that you can do in a few places. One of these is the bourgoise. Laura, the host, a very kind and friendly person, has made us feel really cocktailed from the beginning to the end and even further, treating us not as customers but as guests. Thank you again."

"Ware for one night there.First the negative the parking situation is extremely bad one has as well as no way to stop the car nearby.But may also have to do with what we were there in the high season. The fact that you have to walk away to breakfast is rather not so that our thing just left it away because we had to go to the ferry.Some guests think you should not be so noisy because they want to sleep something unfortunately not when check out possible. Positive is to say that check-in is extremely easy with pin.The rooms are excellently equipped and the location is very good.You should be good to walk because there are extreme climbs to both the beach and to the great restaurants in the It must be old town. It was all good again"

"This accommodation is at a great location in the middle of Chianalea, close to the dock where the daily catch comes in, many restaurants and a few shops. We were on the 3rd floor and the view was great out over the sea and of the neighborhood. In fact we could even see the Stromboli volcano! The room was very clean and the room systems up to date. The building is equipped with energy-saving measures such as the electrical system is activated when you place your key card in a slot. This is something encouraged in some locations. The only issue is that the AC shuts off when you leave and you can come back to a hot room that will take time to cool (only a problem on hot days). The owner was friendly and helpful. In fact, when could not get us a taxi, he drove us to where we needed to go (the next town) and did not want to be paid."
