"This is a restaurant and hotel all in one. The restaurant on the first floor, and the guest rooms upstairs. There are free parking spaces, but there are not many parking spaces (but I don’t know if the parking spaces across the road belong to it), and it should be first come, first served. There is a pretty good supermarket about 100 meters away. It is very close to the Neuschwanstein Castle attraction, only three or four kilometers away. The location is still very good. There is no elevator, the room is relatively clean, and the bathroom is spacious enough. If I remember correctly, there should be no air conditioning, but the weather was already cold when we came here, and there was no need for air conditioning."

"The room was okay, but the bathroom wasn't very big. We booked a panoramic room, but the hotel gave us a garden view room at ground level, not on a high floor, and didn't charge us extra!"

"We were staying in Hohenschwangua close to both castles and was told that Schwangau had plenty of restaurants. All looked pretty full so we decided to park the car and walk around the main street to find a restaurant, most places need reservations or were full, one place recommended Helmer Hotel & Restaurant which was just one street off the main road. We were lucky enough they had room. Service was good and the meal was ok. I went for the croquette and schnitzel but found I could taste the oil in both. There was a self serve salad bar which was very good. The location was ideal and the restaurant was nice and cozy. I believe there was a wedding or event going on in one of their banquet rooms. "
Hotel Das Rübezahl Romantic Hideaway & Boutique Spa
"Nothing less than five stars- we loved everything about Das Rubezahl! From the moment we pulled into the parking lot we were charmed. Room: We were instantly checked in and taken to our beautiful first floor junior deluxe suite- which had a living room separate from the bedroom and a balcony with a panoramic view of the castles. It was BEAUTIFUL. No A/C, like others have said, but the temperature was mild enough to leave the door open for cool air. The bed was comfy, spa shower was hot and doubled as a wonderful clothes steamer when needed. The toilet room was separate from the shower and down the hall a ways for more privacy. Meals: We purchased the half board package so we had dinner and breakfast before checking out. Dinner was the best meal we’ve had since being in Europe. Four courses, all perfection. Drinks were also amazing. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you could want- options for some cooked things (sausage, pancakes, omelets etc). Everyone at the hotel was SO kind and English was spoken well hotel wide. We are already looking forward to coming back. Thanks for the marmalade upon check out!"

"Great family-led house, dear and open reception, detailed explanations. We immediately felt well. Very spacious room, bathroom something small, but very ordinary and clean. Beautiful garden, beautiful balcony. You feel like mothers. A different delicious rugby with coffee or tea well-known free in the afternoon. Equally free parking at the house. Located relatively centrally, you are with car, bus, bike quickly at the desired attractions. Bicycle garage available. It is thought of everything. Here you are thankful to all involved. Also the ladies of the room making are super nice and motivated. Always happy. !!!"

"Great location, nice room with a comfortable bed and bathroom. We also had a nice balcony with a small view of the castle. Breakfast was nice with hot eggs and cold cereal, yogurt, buns, meats and cheeses. There was free parking, but no elevator, so the trek up to the fourth floor with luggage was not fun."
