We were guests in Schärding in May and we spent two nights at Hotel Forstinger in the city centre. The hotel made a nice impression on the homepage and looked promising from drum we booked too. The first impression on the site was also super the lady at the reception very friendly and the lobby was beautiful and modern. Our room was on the first floor and looked nice but had some shortcomings. The room was not air conditioned and it was quite warm in the room. Only a window to air and there is hardly cold air in because it doesn't pass. Then there is no darkness hang, so it is very bright in the room even in the night and in the morning. The bathroom I found horrible, it has nothing to do with modern and doesn't fit at all to the room. In addition, only a small box, if you stay longer, you can not spread your luggage here. Overall we found the service very friendly and nice and that was really the positive at our stay. The breakfast was OK but I had clearly expected something better. The selection at the buffet was small and seemed somewhat deprived. The room was also very small, there would be a sense for some to serve breakfast only à la carte and that would also be more sustainable. The bio thoughts I find great but why then no domestic fruits besides exotic fruit are offered I find questionable.

We were guests in Schärding in May and we spent two nights at Hotel Forstinger in the city centre. The hotel made a nice impression on the homepage and looked promising from drum we booked too. The first impression on the site was also super the lady at the reception very friendly and the lobby was beautiful and modern. Our room was on the first floor and looked nice but had some shortcomings. The room was not air conditioned and it was quite warm in the room. Only a window to air and there is hardly cold air in because it doesn't pass. Then there is no darkness hang, so it is very bright in the room even in the night and in the morning. The bathroom I found horrible, it has nothing to do with modern and doesn't fit at all to the room. In addition, only a small box, if you stay longer, you can not spread your luggage here. Overall we found the service very friendly and nice and that was really the positive at our stay. The breakfast was OK but I had clearly expected something better. The selection at the buffet was small and seemed somewhat deprived. The room was also very small, there would be a sense for some to serve breakfast only à la carte and that would also be more sustainable. The bio thoughts I find great but why then no domestic fruits besides exotic fruit are offered I find questionable.
