Scenic Hotels in Potsdam

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You can walk straight to the palace park or into the city with all its attractions. I requested a room with twin beds when booking, but this wasn't accommodated! I was then offered a higher room category for an extra charge! Elsewhere, you might get an upgrade for free! But the double bed was perfectly fine, and I slept well! The room was very small, and the bathroom was especially cramped! The amenities were extremely spartan; aside from soap dispensers, there was nothing else in the bathroom! However, there was a small fridge in the room, which would definitely be useful in the summer. At peak times, the breakfast area got very crowded, and you sometimes had to wait for a table! The breakfast itself was decent! It had everything you'd expect! All the restaurant staff were without exception very friendly, kind, and helpful! Due to a medical emergency, an ambulance had to be called for me, and all the staff took excellent care of me! A big thank you again for that!"

"First of all, we have to say that the room was neat and clean. The breakfast was also fine and the location was great. However: We booked a suite with a city view for 4 days. We got a smaller (mini) suite facing the inner courtyard, which we hadn't realized until then because we were given a ”suite” when we checked in. It was only after three days that we realized that we hadn't actually gotten the room we had booked - unfortunately too late. In addition, although we had a small kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle and microwave, there were no plates or glasses, which we had to ask about at reception. The hotel says that it doesn't clean the room until after the second night. This wasn't a problem for us and so we prepared the room accordingly after the second night so that the cleaning staff could work without interruption. In the evening we realized that no one was there. The reception was so full that we couldn't let anyone know. We also assumed that someone would come on the third day at least. The next morning we put up a sign on the door asking for cleaning. In short, no one came again. When we finally went to reception, we were told that this was an external service provider who had carried out the cleaning according to the documents, which of course was not the case! Other guests had also complained about this. Since we had already paid and therefore could not get a refund, we were treated to a drink at the bar and a chocolate bar for breakfast. So our ”suite” was not cleaned once in 4 nights, let alone the trash can emptied. The highlight was when checking out, when I was suddenly asked to pay a bill. After I told them that I had already done this in advance, the receptionist said that this was just a blocking of the amount but that I still had to pay the regular amount. What surprised me most was that the amount did not match my booking at all. When I pointed out again that I had already paid, the receptionist said he had confused me with another guest and that I could leave..."

"Due to an error in the reservation system, there was no room available upon arrival (despite written confirmation of the reservation number). As the hotel was full, the front desk arranged another hotel for us. Although the situation is not satisfactory, we thank you for your kind and active support."

"Despite the 10mins long walk on main road to the hotel (they do provide sign to guide you), I really enjoyed my stay that is away from the city. The front desk staffs are very friendly in helping me in renting a bicycle and using their sauna. A great place to unwind and relax with long cycling path. The breakfast is acceptable and filled with choices. The front desk staffs also informed me that they do sell pizza when I come back late one night as everywhere nearby was closed"

"We stayed in two suite rooms. One for 3 people and another for 4 people. Both suites were spacious, fully furnished, and equipped with excellent amenities including a washing machine and dishwasher. The location was very convenient: just 3 minutes from the S-Bahn station, 4 minutes from the tram stop (Haltestelle), and only 5 minutes from Ristorante Toscana. We had a fabulous stay and truly appreciated the comfort and convenience provided. Highly recommended!"

"The location is very good, just opposite the Palace of Souci. It's a business hotel. It's very small, the bed is not good, there is no space for the suitcase once it goes in. The facilities are also average and relatively old, but the hotel is not cheap. I don't understand why it is so expensive. The waiter is a bit stupid. The hotel parking space is not allowed to enter, and you have to go to the front desk to report it. It's hard to talk to. But the breakfast is very good. The facilities are relatively old."

"It was a nice stay. Very close to Hbf and main attractions. We loved the city."

"The layout of the room is reasonable, the apartment bathroom I live in is quite large, larger than my colleagues, so there will be surprises when choosing the room type and the appropriate high price."
