"Nice and neat place in a great central location, perfect to come back in and out of your day trips. Great bathrooms with everything including showers and drains working perfectly. The only bad thing I can say: rooms are a bit dark and have little windows coming out on the inner patio and it felt awfully hot inside all the time (there is no air con). That said I was able to get an electric fan from the staff that helped a lot during my last day. Recommended."

"Other TA reviews giving this Hacienda 4-5 stars must be kids whom are used to youth hostels. I travel 180+ days per year and this is the real assessment. This Hacienda is located out of town and offers no dinner service so you are stuck unless you order in and have delivery. The rooms have no windows and wood doors with zero sound privacy. If you happen to get a room like we did near the main area, you get to listen to the staff all night making noise and there is zero (I mean ZERO) sound proofing. Rooms have no heat and no A/C so I hope you like to sweat all night. There was no hot water in the showers, and the sink does not even offer the opportunity to get hot water so good luck shaving. The bed is tiny (maybe double???) so for a couple like us near impossible to sleep (beyond the loud noise all night.) Bed is also hard like a futon so have fun sleeping on slats. Breakfast was terrible...I ordered scrambled eggs and sausage and sausage it hot dogs... Cannot at all recommend....steer clear."

"The location was really great because it was slightly out of the main square so more peaceful but the views from the garden and bar are incredible. Also all the staff I met were the friendliest of any hostel. Especially Maya, Jess and Ali whom were fantastic at making me welcome. The hostal is calm with a lively energy and a very social place with a wonderful bar and restaurant. Also the food I. The restaurant was very good. The rooms were clean, best comfy with privacy curtains, light and charger. I enjoyed it here so much that I extended my stay. Don’t hesitate to stay here you will love it."

"Everything about this place is perfect! The service, location, food, rooms, activities offered! We stayed by the river, which was so relaxing! The bed was very comfortable. All of the food we had was amazing. We went horseback riding which was really cool, and my husband got a massage which he said was great. The location is great also, you can easily get into the town of Salento, also easy to get to the Cocora Valley for hiking, and the coffee farms for tours/tastings. The whole experience was wonderful."
